“We phoned 15 minutes before arrival and luckily were offered a table for 4 plus our dog. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food was very tasty, especially the chocolate cheesecake. There was a really good selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. Some patrons were a bit loud but they weren’t there all the time so it was fine. It was a delightful surprise find.”

“I have been going to this bakery for many years and the great thing about it is, Consistency. The cakes are to die for, the bread is fresh everyday, the sandwiches are fresh and full of filling. My personal favourite is the sausage rolls.... wow they are amazing. I have travelled around a lot and been to many different bakery's around the country but this is the best i have ever been to. I now live in the west pennine moors but still come over once a week for my treats. I would like to thank all the staff for always making me welcome. Keep up the good work.”

“Hands down the best place we’ve ever been too ! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was amazing and the staff made us feel so welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. The drinks were amazing, never seen nothing like it we had such a good time ( who ever comes up with these ideas is amazing) The atmosphere was unreal, such a fun and lively place with great music(including Xmas music) You could really tell they care about giving people a great experience, when wr came for our booking it was really busy but the staff handled it perfectly. Honestly, this is the best place we’ve been for a while in stone, and it completely exceeded our expectations. We’re already planning our next visit couldn’t recommend it enough! “Absolutely the best fish and chips, with homemade tartare sauce! The owner is passionate about I his business, and had time to chat with us while he was freshly preparing our meal. The portion was generous and it was the tastiest we have had for very many years. Easy to access from the canal so great for you if you are boating. I Highly recommend!”

Absolutely stunning presentation. Starters and mains both looked exquisite and tasted sublime. Large portions and good value for money. “First visit to this one and definitely my new favourite and the best in the area Staff are friendly and polite and listen to what you’re ordering and any special additions alterations to the standard menu meal. absolutely beautiful plenty of meat and the sauce balance is spot on, fresh ingredients and the beef had a lovely flavour to it, but was a little chewy and the dish would absolutely blow you away if it was a little more tender and melty, but and I have to stress do not let that put you off. Definitely the best Chinese in the area, based on what Iv seen so far.”

“We’re new to the area and have been enjoying the occasional breakfast here for a few weeks now. It’s a quirky, unassuming village cafe run in a friendly, polite and efficient manner. The food is awesome: hearty, tasty and cooked with care. Great value for money, too, which is the cherry on top. We’ll continue to enjoy our brekkies at The Corner House (followed by a long stroll around the Mere!) and recommend others do, too.”
