“We stopped here for a short walk, picnic and a read in really peaceful surroundings. There were a few people walking around with their dogs that were having a fab time (and swim) in the lake. Occasional trains passing by but otherwise very quiet and a lovely hour spent here.”

“Wonderful, very clean area, well maintained paths, beautiful variety of plants, some of the walks could be sign posted better, there are some more accessible walks if you have mobility issues. Pleanty of different car parks, but bare in mind the car park you choose may vary the immediate accessibility of the walks so I'd advise you pick your carpark based on rhe walk you choose. Dog friendly just clean up after your pets. There are bins at key points throughout the park as well as park benches and picnick tables. This park is tended with the help of Park Hall Friends who help clean the area and maintain its splendid atmosphere.”

“Beautiful, well maintained park. Attractive flowerbeds surrounded by grass ideal to have a picnic on. Lovely enclosed children's play area with numerous different apparatus which our granddaughter lived. Toilets available and easy parking nearby. Lots of fascinating history associated with the park dating back to its opening in 1871 including a Victorian pavilion and drinking fountain.”

“Paul has to be the best host we have ever come across. So very helpful , friendly and understanding. The site is spotless.....the facilities are wonderful....we had a lovely stay here and will be going back really soon. We have marked this as one of our new regular go-to places. The only thing we would say , is be careful ordering from the smokehouse restaurant at the end of the lane...it's really expensive for what you get, but that obviously is nothing to do with Abdo hill campsite. Thanks Paul, your campsite is fantastic, we will be back very soon. 5⭐ from me and Charlie!”

“There aren’t too many rides or things to do here in CBeebies land for kids under 90cm but this is one of the things that is available and it lasts a decent amount of time too. We were there on a Sunday during school holidays and queue was about 15minutes”

“The staff at Shrewsbury are a real credit to an excellent fun place. They are so helpful and look as if they genuinely enjoy being with the children. There are plenty of staff spaced around, in case your child needs help or you need any advice. Definitely 5 stars to this place. The toilets are okay which is to be expected with children but the overall cleanliness is great.”

The 2 ladies on reception, Rosie and Hannah couldn't have been more helpful! They were great with my mother-in-law and set her mind at ease. What great customer service.”

“Verdin Park is our local place. In last year there has been a new path put in and beautiful new playground for the children. I would probably say for children aged 1-7 years old. There is a skate boarding ramp there aswell. Great area for picnic and dog walking. You can get there easy from town or Castle or Winnington. Car park(payed) on the botton of the hill and some on road parking on neighbouring roads for free.”

“Some beautiful easy walks around the Mid Cheshire countryside. You can access Carey park within a few hundred metres from Northwich town centre and take a myriad of routes, long or short, ranging from an easy stroll by the River Weaver or a bit further takes you to to Marbury country park, Anderton Boat lift or one of the many salt flashes now home to rare birds and wild life. Spend an hour or a day , and then back into town to enjoy a Coffee, your Choice.”

“Fantastic fun. The obstacle course itself is good, but maybe a little limited in the choice of obstacles. However, the inflatable area definitely makes up for it, with lots to do. Staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. The cafe has a good selection of food, which was tasty and reasonably priced.”

“Enjoyed a nice walk through the hills at this place - signposted slightly oddly from one direction as the sign is beyond the entrance, but we managed to find it in the end and walked to the top of the hill to be rewarded with an excellent view. There was one slightly odd track that took us down the back of people's gardens, was very overgrown and then got to a part that was completely blocked by one person's fence, so we had to turn around and go back. Not sure why the entrance to that is still available as I would've thought it'd be better to block that part as well, or at least put up a sign!”
