βI fell in the hotel late at night. Amanda from reception was excellent. She stayed after her shift finished at 11pm staying with me to 11.35pm to make sure I was ok. She went above and beyond making me tea, a nice glass of iced water. She informed her colleagues of what had happened to me that if I needed anything in the middle of the night that they were not to hesitate and look after me. Thank you so much Amanda you made my stay so much more comfortable and showed me that someone cared.β
βThis hotel was recently renovated. I have stayed in many many hotels, this one was by far the best for this price point. In fact I've paid 3x the cost for rooms half as good. The room was incredible, the bed was perfect, and the included breakfast was spectacular. The staff were super friendly. Huge TV in the room with great connectivity. Fast wifi. The shower had 2 heads and the pressure was incredible. I hope I get to stay here again before I leave Ireland. I've never been more refreshed from a hotel stay.β
βExcellent food and the service was first class. No better place for lunch.β
βI wouldnβt board my miniature schnauzer anywhere else. She loves it there and Wendy is terrific with her!β
βIt is very excellent, very safe and the rooms are always clean.β
βI had a brilliant stay. The hotel was lovely, but what really stood out was Aleksandra. She was incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of her way to make sure everything was just right. Couldnβt have asked for better service!β
βPleasantly surprised by how spacious, clean and comfortable our twin room was β would have absolutely no hesitation in staying again! Mattresses very comfy, location quiet and convenient, breakfast nice, and the 24-hour pizza service a yummy treat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only major downside would be the toilet doors offering very little privacyβ¦ but shy guests will be glad to know there are private loos by reception.β
βJust returned from a wonderful break at The Rocks and would highly recommend. Noel & Cathy are the perfect hosts, friendly, warm and very knowledgeable about the whole area. The breakfasts were nothing short of perfect, keeping us satisfied until late afternoon. And the room was beautiful, comfortable, clean & quiet. We would definitely return. Thank you both for your excellent hospitality!β
βCarla and her team are fantastic. We're very fortunate to have such a caring and professionally run kennel nearby.β
βAmazing views and location. Immaculate and clean. Breakfast amazing and wonderful host called Jim. Slept so well and felt refreshed ready for the day. Highly recommend and my go to place when visiting again.β
βThe rooms are spotless and pretty. The location is super convenient, very close to the airport but you donβt hear a single plane. Breakfast was delicious and everybody was so very kind. We had a mishap with our rental car company and Charles went out of his way to drive us to the airport and help us. Highly recommend staying here!β
βWell what can I say!!! I've had the best experience from start to finish. The hosts are amazing and can't do enough for you and the location is ideal 5 min from the airport and the cabin was just luxury. The airport pick up and drop off was so handy. I would 100% recommend this place for a short and long stay. I will be back whenever I'm travelling from Belfast :) !!!β
βAbsolutely pristine and delightful. A MUST book. My sister and I came for just a night and the host was lovely. The walk way was candle lit. She made us tea upon arrival, complete with shortbread and treats. Everything was 5 star hotel standards from the smallest detail like the heated towel rack, to the extravagant breakfast. It's all the charm of a B&B with the privacy and perfection of a hotel. Breakfast was incredible. I am a part time vegan, full time vegetarian and my sister is paleo so we can be picky. But, the host customized the menu items for us. The view from the breakfast table is rolling hills with charming cottages. Everything was locally sourced - the Rhubarb jam from the garden (incredible!) the yogurt from local jersey cows, etc. This B&B was the highlight of our entire Ireland and N. Ireland trip. We cannot recommend this more. We're telling our friends and family. So grateful for this hidden gem, we certainly hope to return!β
βOlive and Roger are thoughtful, considerate and very pleasant hosts. The rooms are nicely thought out and equipped. Breakfast was very tasty! The road is semi-busy, particularly at rush hour and trucks go by in the early morning, so it's not as quiet as the neighborhood seems like it should be. But much quieter than in the city centre! Many eateries within a 10-minute walk. The walk into city center is straightforward.β
βCame across the coffee shop last year and hoped to have the occasion to stay which happened this week. Very warm welcome in the driving rain. Nicely appointed rooms with clever touches; good water pressure and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and delicious coffee. Requested a room at the back and were very happy with the calm and quiet. Highly recommended.β
βOne of the most charming B&B, I've ever stayed in. Stanley, the owner, welcomed us when we arrived at night. He's a nice and lovely man with great tips on things to see in the area. The room was clean and the decoration was beautiful. We loved it so much that we booked another time. Really a great and quiet place to stay when in Ireland. Well situated too.β
βMy favourite place to stay in Belfast! Absolutely fantastic staff. So friendly and welcoming and little touches like this that you would never get from some of the big city center hotels. Always enjoy my stay in Tara Lodge.β
βAwesome venue with amazing staff. Was at my cousins wedding, but was late in getting my rsvp, so wasn't going to be having dinner. They were going to set an extra table for just us, but fitted us in, as some people didn't make it. They went out if their way to make us feel welcomeβ
βThis was my first time at Streamvale pods and I thought it was amazing. Everything was provided for us and the pod was neat and clean. It was so cozy and relaxing I couldβve stayed for a week! The hot tub was all ready for us arriving and they also gave us free hot chocolate supplies. As well as this we were provided with milk, orange juice, yogurts, wheaten bread, soda bread, oats and wee spreads such as jam and butter all for our breakfast in the morning or a snack throughout the day !β
βWe stayed in the Jade room for 3 nights which was perfect for a family of 3. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast was great and filling - lots of choice. The location of this B&B is excellent. Thank you to the team at Walter's Place for making our stay so enjoyable.β
βStable courts are amazing, absolutely spotless and modern. Tranquil place to stay and close to all amenities. Kenny is a fantastic host and couldn't be more helpful. I would higly recommend a visit and stay here for the traveller from near and far..β
βFantastic place to stay. I've been going back for many years now. Staff very pleasant. Clean comfortable room with all you need. Breakfast excellent. Always look forward to return visits. Can recommend it without hesitation.β
βAlfie has been going to DogDaysNI for 4 years now. It has really helped him become more confident and he loves coming in to play with his friends. Emma and the team are fantastic and go above and beyond to celebrate special occasions like Halloween. I love getting brilliant photos of Alfie like these!β
βWhen I moved here from England, I really struggled to find the right place for Leo to settleβbut then I discovered Whinney Hill and havenβt looked back since. I travel often for work and donβt have many people who can look after Leo, so Iβve relied on Whinney Hill quite a bit over the past year. Iβm incredibly grateful for the care they give him. Leo absolutely loves itβhe canβt wait to jump out of the car when we arrive! The staff are fantastic, and itβs clear they genuinely care about the dogs. Iβm so happy and relieved that Leo has found a place where he feels at home.β
βFantastic place to stay. Spotlessly clean and a delicious homemade breakfast. Room was spacious, warm and tastefully decorated. Gillian was warm and friendly and gave us great tips for places to eat in the village. Handy to Dublin, Belfast and Lisburn due to close proximity to the A1. 20 minute walk or 3 mins in the car to the heart of Hillsborough village. Loads of things to do and see in the village.β
βHave used everytime we've gone away for last number of years, great place. Helen and Rick are lovely and great with the dogs. Our dogs love it.β
βWe stayed here for 4 nights last week. We loved it! The hotel celebrates people important to the area. We stayed in the John Cleaver suite (we got upgraded). The room and adjoining bathroom was beautiful. The owner has obviously put a great deal of thought and care into this hotel. I loved that it's not got a corporate identity and the quirkiness of it. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was incredible, with so much choice, we've never seen such a decadent breakfast in a hotel. Drinks and entertainment are available in the lounge in the evenings. We didnβt take advantage of this, purely because I have ME (chronic fatigue syndrome) and I needed to rest early in the evenings ahead of the next day's activities. Situated minutes from a bus stop for buses into the city. The hop on, hop off tour buses stop outside too. We had a wonderful stay - first time to Belfast but we will return!β
βWe got married at Brookhall last summer and had a really special day in intimate surroundings with family and close friends. This is the perfect place for a unique, personal, relaxed wedding all in one spot if you want to avoid the standard corporate hotel event. We hired the cottages for family and friends, had family dogs there throughout the day and enjoyed the beautiful gardens, lake and wildflower meadow for photos. Rosemary and Pauline were so helpful, supportive and accommodating throughout, gave us lots of suggestions and contacts from caterers and bar service providers to events decorators. Everyone commented that ours was one of the most relaxed weddings they had attended and no doubt the Brookhall team made that possible. We would definitely recommend Brookhall and will always have fond memories of Rosemary, Pauline and our special day.β
