“Finally got a time to visit this resturant . It was very nice place after long time i had spicy chicken noodless and Superb Cocktail. Staff is very friendly and Food is delicious and They played Sri Lankan songs for me . it was so sweet”

“Been here twice now and both times had a lovely experience. The food is lovely and the staff are too. The lunch menu is great value for money where you get a main a side and a refillable drink for £10! I definitely recommend the beef burger it’s lively. Would definitely come back again.”

“Come here after a while after being reccomended for food. Have to say was not disappointed. Top notch service and the new chefs are on point. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted great (not your generic flavours). Highly recommended the curry and grill! Staff were friendly. Can't go wrong with the place. Nice chilled out spot.”

“Wow what a lovely rare steak salad. Absolutely delicious. The 5 stars are very deserved for this. Hubby had the Hunters Chicken and was very pleased. Atmosphere was noisy but it is football season. We did not mind in any way. Thank you for a lovely meal and a very pleasant afternoon.”

“Homely, welcoming, lovely place to drop in for food. Staff are great and are always friendly. Nothing is too big an ask. Big shout out to Amy and Sam who are in mine and my families opinion our favourite staff members. It can get very busy in there so book if you can to avoid being turned away. Food is fresh well stocked and hot as you come to expect. An excellent Toby, definitely recommend.”

“8 of us popped in at short notice (20/08), hoping for a bite to eat. The staff were lovely and accommodating and managed to find us 2 tables and pushed them together for us. “We came here for a birthday treat and was pleasantly surprised. We had the mega mixed platter as we enjoy a variety of food (both meat and fish) and was left impressed and full! The staff were amazing and very accommodating. I would give a special shout out to our server but unfortunately didn't get his name. He was very helpful and was prompt in refunding the booking fee as its something I forgot about on ordering the food. As other reviews have mentioned the music is a little loud (we were pretty much sat by the D.J) however upon being seated the waiter asked if we were happy with our seats, which we were, so I'm sure they could accommodate a quieter spot if requested. Food is a very good price and did not break the bank for the mixture of food we had! All in all a really good experience and would be very happy to return in the near future!”

“Me and my partner come for Sunday lunch, and we were both pleasantly surprised! They had sold out of the roast beef (due to being so busy) so I opted for the roast turkey which melted in my mouth. Great portion, a lot of effort put into these roast dinners and you could tell as the Yorkshire puddings were home made delicious gravy. Well done to all the staff at the Golden Hind. There was a great atmosphere with music on and lots of happy guests. I will definitely be returning, we left yesterday with full bellies and feeling very happy with our afternoon out”

“Popped in here whilst visiting the arena for a Drake gig. Was able to get a table and order via the app. Drinks and food came quickly and was really tasty. Atmosphere was great and the the staff were friendly too. Would definitely come back if in the area.”

“Cute, fairly busy but not at all chaotic pub in selly oak with a nice atmosphere of students and locals; lovely beer garden with plenty of picnic tables to sit at in the sun and in the shade, suitable for larger groups for certain! A quite broad range of draught ales available- also the food was gorge and far better price-wise than I was expecting! Had crispy halloumi (got three lovely large chunks), cajun fries (topped with garnish and a lovely I think sriracha sauce) and mushy peas served with a little pot of tartare sauce as well as a pint with my meal for less than £15- big serving and great quality food plus super quick service time made it more than worth it for the price, would love to come again and bring some mates or family for a meal out!”
