“Now, people are always very quick to complain, but never quick to priase. So, here's my review for them. Actually my second time visiting this coffee shop. I love the atmosphere, it's so friendly, helpful and professional. Excellent pricing, too! The manager, Katie, I believe was so friendly when I went in for my first coffee. I had a little laugh and a joke about the wide variety of cakes and pastries, as I'm on a Keto diet. She told me they were "sugar free!" I nearly fell for it. I had my coffee outside, nice little area, plenty of room, too. I loved it so much, I went in for another coffee. I told them it was actually one of the best coffees I've had from coffee shops. Most are bitter or they look and taste like the coffee hasn't been changed since 1973!!! :0) Again, I spoke to Wendy on the 2nd trip in, and I believe Wendy, the assistant manager served me this time. Absolutely brilliant senses of humour, and even wanted to know which of them served up the best coffee.....I'm getting ready to run now!! :0) Anyhoo, I highly recommend this coffee/eatery. I will definitely be coming back, especially as they have a reward system. ( stamping for each hot beverage. )”

“I had 17 minutes before my bus was due. Service was quick, I only waited a couple of minutes and my mushroom toastie was hot and tasty. I was offered a side salad, but I declined because I was pushed for time. The lady behind the till was pleasant and brought my tray over for me (I have a fractured ankle and crutches) which was much appreciated, and I made it in plenty of time for my bus!”

“We love this cafe, the proprietors are lovely and welcoming.Although there is a substantial menu I usually have the breakfast burger as it's my favourite and my wife enjoys a jacket potato or the macaroni cheese! A nice selection of cakes are available and the coffee is really nice. In case you wondered, I highly recommend this cafe in Tarring village.”

“Have been to the River Cafe & Bistro in Shoreham a few times in the past and always found it pleasant for a coffee and cake / pastry or sausage roll. Today we had full on breakfasts of varying sorts and all were spot on. Now my favourite cafe in Shoreham by far.”

“After coming here with three friends twice a week since Lucy opened up the Italian Coffee Shop, I thought it time to say that this little gem in Shoreham is what it is because of the way Lucy runs this place single handedly. It's spotlessly clean despite her being busy the whole time whilst handling often large parties of people. lovely coffee is presented beautifully with a small glass of water and a biscuit. Food and delicious cakes as well as afternoon cream teas etc are all prepared and served with the same care and attention. Hopefully, the counterpart of the adjoining Tosca's restaurant, fully appreciate what they have in this hard working lady. The coffee shop is managed so efficiently by the welcoming, smiling Lucy that I thought she really deserves a rave review. Well done to you. Both yourself and Tosca's should be very proud of not only your efficiency, but your warm and friendly hospitality. A rare combination these days. This place just wouldn't be the same without you. D. “We were delighted to find this great coffee shop during our visit to Brighton! The coffee, pastries, and sandwiches were fresh and flavorful but if you want a nutritious meal I suggest the owner’s homemade savory root vegetable soup! It was fabulous! The good size portion kept me fueled most of the day! Everyone was so friendly. The service was great! Our two times to eat there during our one week stay will be a standout memory from our time in Brighton!”

“This is our daughter and son-in-law local pub...we were visiting from the Isle of Wight and popped in here for a drink and a bit of lunch...food was amazing..I had salmon New potatoes and fresh vegetables and it was cooked perfect.. my daughter and son-in-law had burgers which were also very well presented and delicious...my husband had scampi and chips which again was delicious... Drinks are good prices and a lovely spacious garden with ample seating . Plenty of parking available. The icing on the cake was the landlord greeting you personally when you walk in .. highly recommend..lovely friendly pub and fantastic food ❤️❤️”
