“Have passed by here for years and not found time to stop. Made time today and had an amazing birthday meal. Curry goat was amazing, my wife's pork chop was enormous, tender and beautifully cooked. My son's steak gorgeous and apparently the cheeseburger was the best my daughter has ever had. Fantastic staff too, so friendly and happy to answer any queries. Great local beers too. Great to see a small local place so busy”

“I have stayed here once a year for the last 3 years. It’s so peaceful and lodges are excellent quality and have everything you need inside them. Modern, comfortable, dog friendly, hot tub cleaned daily. Reception is extremely helpful. The owners are really accommodating and can’t do enough for you and your stay! Lovely walks and pubs to visit in walking distance. We always look forward to coming back year after year!”

“Great campsite, perfect location if wanting to explore the South Downs but also great for getting into Brighton. Plus lovely little shop selling coffee, fire wood and even morning pastries. Not forgetting the bonus of warm showers, clean toilets, fridge, washing up facilities.”

“I stayed here for a weekend visiting family, with my mum and partner. And honestly it was perfect. Perfect location not too far from the station, rooms were spotless, first time I've ever been to a BnB or hotel that gives me a pot for tea in my room! Straight up 10/10 just for that. Mark was so friendly and welcoming and cooked the best full English breakfast each day.”

“A warm welcome and cozy room for ourselves - and our dog! Jaynie is an excellent host and serves a delicious breakfast in the morning. We loved the location right across from the beach, which was perfect for walks along the sea.”

“So happy we found Leander Kennels! You can tell just how much they care for the dogs in their care. We'd never left Rex with anybody other than ourselves due to him being nervous and reactive following a car crash 4 years ago. So we were apprehensive at leaving him anywhere. After visiting the kennels I could see how clean and secure they were, and after speaking to Claire, I could tell she knew her stuff when it came to dog training/behaviour. She made sure we moved at a pace that would push Rex, but not over do it, and after each visit he's made more and more progress. All the staff have been brilliant, especially Shannon who's worked closely with him. We can't thank them enough and they are so much more than just boarding kennels!”

“I needed to get my dogs nails clipped but didn't have an appointment, I went in and spoke to Lydia and she gave me appointment for a couple of hours later. Lydia cut my (nervous) dogs nails in a matter of minutes, quickly,confidently whilst also reasurring him! very professional Also what a lovely establishment and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. “Sunday holy mass time 10:00 am and evening 7:30 They are sucha an amazing welcoming people....any one can cone here and see jesus, on sundays they have a special place for your childrens to play while you attend the holy mass and this is how a church should be in the new era....totally amazing.”

“Popped in here for dinner with friends the other night. Service was excellent, drink selection good & the food...was just awesome. We shared 2 of the platters between 4 & it was more than enough, the garlic sausage & brisket were standouts, but everything was just excellent. Oh & the dry rub chicken wings are 100% brilliant. “Attended with friends, the night before a friends marriage! Prawn cocktail to start with delicious, the chocolate dessert with honeycomb was exceptional. I had the sea breem fish as a main course, which was a special, and exquisite. Highly recommend the side of garlic broccoli and a skinny fries. We were a table of 4, waiters/waitresses were young but didn’t show any signs of inexperience. I have played golf at ESN and lived in Uckfield for over 30 years and this is my first time eating here from recollection. It’s not cheap but the food is great, a nice little treat. I popped upstairs to have a look at my friends room after curiosity, great size and nicely presented (the room). Has everything you could possibly need and more. The furniture is of its time but equally in great condition which adds to the experience.”
