“Always a challenge to take scruffy dog to see Tim for his haircut, it’s not his favourite thing to have done, he really hates it!!!. Tim is so patient and kind. Listens to how I’d like him to look, and Scruffy comes out looking lovely, and happy. I’ve booked up a year in advance so that speaks volumes! I would 100% recommend. And the online booking system makes it so easy.”

“Lovely, quiet oasis with easy access to South Downs Way. The fact that there is a lovely host who is a talented water-colour artist is a bonus. The breakfasts were heart and very well prepared. No issues dealing with one vegetarian and one coeliac/celiac. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet as it faces the back garden. Easy walk into the village for meals, pubs and groceries. The official "greeter cat" is a real character. (See picture).”

“I have been using Groomingdales for my two for the last couple of years. The service is professional, efficient and MIchelle is so patient with my nervous rescue dogs, They come home calm, relaxed .....and obviously looking and smelling great. You can see when you meet Michelle that this is not just her business, she loves animals, and gives them the individual care and attention they need.”

“Since Scampi's adult coat came in and winter was upon us, it became more and more difficult to groom and he got more matts than we could cope with. I explained to Maxine how we were loathe to lose the length but understood that perhaps now we'd have to start from scratch. She was very understanding and although she had to clip him quite short, she managed to keep the length on his head, ears and tail and he looks great, He obviously feels a lot better too and is running around like a loon. She also gave good advice about avoiding matts as his coat grows longer. All in all, an excellent first experience when I've heard so many horror stories about groomers from other people.”

“Booked in for 1 night and paid £350 for a room without breakfast included (wow) (without a balcony) which was such a shame as we’d walked 12 miles to this hotel so we could have a room looking over the beach. The room we actually got was a large well designed room in the roof of the second floor. I went down to ask if we could swap rooms and it was a stern no. They are all booked. Fair enough, slightly moody receptionist. But our evening got exceedingly better as Nathan served us in the restaurant on the veranda and he was such a lovely man. So attentive and actually cared. We had a really lovely 3 course meal with cocktails because he was so good at his job. I actually wanted to eat elsewhere because I didn’t think the lady on reception gave a hoot about our stay. Thankfully we didn’t, the chicken skewers were so good and the fish was moist and fluffy. Really good chef. Cheese board was a delight and the chocolate dessert. Scott enjoyed an old fashion and mojito all really great quality. Nathan made our day by being funny polite and just really good at what he does. Thank you”

“Stayed just one night and left wishing it had been longer! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the room I was given was just so lovely. It is the little things like classic FM on the radio and a few delicious sweet treats that immediately transport you into relaxation mode when you stay here. Everything was spotlessly clean and well presented. Also, I cannot remember having a better breakfast, it was 10/10!”
