“We had a marvellous meal for two in here. The atmosphere was great and the service both friendly and efficient. The lamb cutlets were very tasty as was the well recommended tiramisu. We would definitely recommend.”

“Had a gorgeous dinner here with my boyfriend for my birthday and it was incredible. 5 star food. The only steak restaurant we’ve ever seen where you can choose your sauce, butter and salt. “We dined here for a 30th Birthday Celebration and left very full and satisfied! I give the food a 4/5 as I didn’t really enjoy the seaweed custard as it didn’t taste of anything, just like a plain cold custard. This was the only disappointing dish on the menu and I appreciate the skill of the dish, even though the flavour was lacking. The best dish for us was the dessert as it was unbelievable and ticked every box! We also loved the Cod, full of flavour!”

“I regularly eat at this place as it's just round the corner from my work. I started off on the Steak PF which involves beautifully cooked beef with cheese and onions on their bed of rice, beans and potato salad, and frankly it was difficult to move away from that, it's fantastic. However I bravely opted to try the Galinhada, a chicken, rice and olive dish, which may just be even more moreish! I can't decide. Great portion sizes for the cost and served by two of the nicest people you could hope to meet. They always make me feel really welcome.”

“Excellent burgers - they look like the picture of a burger you want but never get!! We ate the cheese gourmet burger and double spicy chicken burger, as well as a special prego steak burger. It's a piece of thin cut sirloin steak and grilled in such an incredibly tasty end result, served with cheese and ham - I am avoiding carbs so didn't have the bun, and was not disappointed - great choice for a low carb takeaway if you're after a treat. The chips are like chip shop chips but crispier, I'm told really good, it was all I could do not to try them myself! I would recommend phoning ahead, they were super busy Saturday night. The website has a few kinks to be worked out and they know about this, and I let them know about them and they responded quickly and are working hard to get them fixed. Great staff responses and really good service. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had for ages, well done guys, we'll be back.”

“Found this little Inn by chance. Well presented and clean. We only had drinks and a quick snack however it was well presented and good value. We noticed that they had a special offer on a buy one get one free on all main courses which we felt was excellent value. Large beer garden which had small area of play equipment in. Friendly staff. Campsite at the back of the pub - we didn’t visit so are unable to comment on the camping area. The noise from the adjacent M5 and railway track was quite noticeable and I can imagine may upset some people.”

“We didn’t have a reservation but the waitress was kind enough to let us sit at a high top to eat. We had the Sunday roast beef and roast chicken with all the sides. Wow…it was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented and very flavorful. The veggies were particularly well seasoned. We then had rhubarb crunch and sticky toffee pudding and it was absolutely delicious as well. Excellent service by the bar staff who checked on us several times.”

“We love this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is very good. Going with the kids or with a wheelchair is easy, as they have an easy access through the main door. Sometimes you don't need to book a table, but always depends of the season/festivity or the day of the week.”

“Really lovely setting for a light lunch. I went for the Bahia Piccante pizza which was really tasty, the pepperoni had just the right amount of kick to it. My partner had the falafel wrap and said it was very delicious as well. They had a houseplant stall in the middle where you could purchase them and I did go a bit wild in the aisles with this. All in all very reasonably priced and will be returning!”

“Bolero Lounge has a casual and chilled vibe. It is the kind of place you can go to when you are bored of being at home and want to get away for a couple of hours. It has a mix of a cafe and restaurant atmosphere that feels very relaxed. I often go for the atmosphere but the food is also great.”

“We went early in the evening on a Thursday. Wonderful place just at the top of the marina, with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff, who are very welcoming and accommodating to requests. Service was quick and the food came quickly. Freshly cooked, high quality ingredients. Delicious food. Great restaurant to visit if you are in the area.”

“Impero Lounge is right on the High Street in the heart of Portishead, perfect to stop in before a jaunt around the harbour. They’re on a corner with huge floor-to-ceiling windows (that open right up) wrapped around two sides, flooding the vaulted interiors with light. There’s a lovely terrace out the front too, perfect for watching the world go by. They’ve a fantastic range of food and drinks (including full kids, gluten-free and vegan menus) served in this relaxed, welcoming space. Look out for their mural celebrating Portishead’s old power station and lighthouse. Which is apt, as they’re a bit of a powerhouse and a shining beacon for the hungry and thirsty people of Portishead.”

“We had our first Christmas party with our new boss's & we had a lovely time waitress called Beth & she had a challenge setting our table. She was on the ball very helpful always polite full of smiles. Hats off to her we were very loud we hope she has a great time working as a waitress it's not the easiest job in the world & I'm sure there are going to be tables that are not as nice as ours. I wish her the best.”
