“Visited for an NHS event regarding having a check up on an ECG, blood pressure, diabetes, height, weight. Stands were available for more information on the above. Also NHS help to get on the NHS app. I can highly recommend anyone book when they next have the event. Plenty of people to guide you round, lovely and friendly, the place was immaculate too.”
“Uttoxeter Leisure Centre: A Clean and Well-Maintained Facility Uttoxeter Leisure Centre has proven to be a reliable and enjoyable destination for my fitness needs. The facility is well-maintained, with clean and tidy common areas and bathrooms. The recent refurbishment of the gym has given it a fresh and modern look, making it a pleasant space to workout. One of the highlights is the swimming pool, which is of a decent size and provides a refreshing environment for swimming. For those who enjoy racket sports, the badminton courts are always in good condition and offer a satisfying experience. While parking can be a bit of a hassle with the app-based payment system, the convenience of redeeming the payment at the counter mitigates this inconvenience. Overall, Uttoxeter Leisure Centre is a great choice for those seeking a clean, well-equipped, and enjoyable fitness experience.”
“A beautiful and tranquil park. The playground is in decent condition with a good zip wire. There are plenty of benches and picnic areas. Some lovely trees and wildlife to be seen too, including the Henmore brook running through the park.”
“While in the area I sat in the park to eat my lunch. Very nice and well kept huge park. Plenty of room for children to play, exercise equipment too. They have toilets but are rather dated. But better than nothing.”
“Claire is a lovely manager and a real joy to meet. The facility is a nice big space with a large swimming pool and gym upstairs. The fitness studio is big with all the latest facilities. The cafe downstairs serves costa coffee and it's a nice place to relax before or after a workout.”

“Such a nice park really close to Derby! Certainly worthwile taking a day and hiking through it!”
“Large green space with a few paths leading to smaller grassy areas. There's a children's play park in the centre with a sheltered seating area. The canal path that run's along next to the park can take you all the way to town. Along the other way It takes you through to the Chellaston area near Royal Glen Park. Opposite the path exit is the newly installed Cuttle Bridge. If you cross the bridge and walk the path it takes you to the lock. And from there you can various places depending which route you take. The lock is in use and there are quite a few canal boats that dock there. Great walk's for all the public, dog's and children. There are places to stop and take refreshments along the way. Winter walk's are also nice and very picturesque. Gets a bit busy in hot weather as visitors dont go very far and sit along the canal near the water. Lot's of different people come here to relax, walk their dog's, cycle along the routes and visit famous spots along the canals”

“Best thing I ever did as you are never to old to learn as it’s made a difference to my wellbeing as well. It’s true better late than never no matter what disabilities you have swimming is one of the best things to do and I’m loving it. If I could do it every day I’d be in the pool all the time. Great people who are very friendly and welcoming and passionate about their work. Thanks again for teaching me how to love swimming and get involved.”
