“I hope this wonderful space never falls in to the hands of property developers. Fantastic cafe at MF Coffee and a popup arts and crafts shop open at the moment too. Love it and Wilma the dug approves too.”

“One of my favorite hotels I've stayed at! The room was so cozy and clean and I loved the privacy doors on the room and sliding wooden door for the window. The free mini bar was a nice touch as well as the champagne upon arrival, slippers and robes :) Only "downside" was that I wanted to stay in the room & relax instead of exploring. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even after checkout they stored our bags for the day while we were in the city. Highly recommend.”

“Wow.. where do you start when everything was just perfect? The restaurant is set in what originally was a fine house with high ceilings, beautiful ceiling cornices, and a twist of Scotland added to the lovely Chinese decor. Staff... wonderful, very attentive, and you can tell they are proud of what they do, and really made it a nice evening. Food... OMG, probably the best I have had, certainly cannot think of a better one. I can highly recommend the King Prawn Satay. Just perfect on the spice heat, and soo delicious. My wife said her beef Lar Chee was really good as well. This restaurant is certainly worth travelling for, can highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely a 5 * experience. I only added photos of our desserts.. photos wouldn't do the starters and mains any justice. Thank you Cool Jade !”

“Superb pub. Pies were both excellent and very cheap. Great range of cask beer; the ones I tried were in fine fettle; cool and well kept. Children over 5 are allowed if they have food and are supervised in the back room which is spacious and has a range of Hearts FC memorabilia. The pub is very busy on match days from previous experience but today was spacious and bright. Famous for its very wide whisky range.”

“Was at an informative and entertaining whisky tasting. Great fun, great drams, great service. If you enjoy whisky, if you want to know what it's really about, this is the place. Authentic, loved, knowledgable.”

“We had a fabulous meal here recently. The service was second to none (provided us with a table for 4, even when there was only 2 of us as it was so busy!) the staff were attentive and the speed of the drinks/starter/main was about the best I've experienced. Recommend the Chateaubriand, sides of potato Dauphinoise, Mac and cheese, seasoned steak chips and chilli broccolini. We also had the vegetarian Empanadas as a starter which were also delicious. A well priced selection of red wines to compliment as well.”

“A superb place to hike; you can find many highland cows there in their wild, natural habitat. Be prepared to walk there off-road as the tracks finish as you go higher and higher. Would recommend taking hiking shoes as you have to walk on slippery or muddy surfaces. A coat is also highly recommended as it is very windy at the top.”

“Brilliant pub! One of Edinburgh's best burger places! Great selection of drinks too and folk sessions on Sundays bring a nice atmosphere. Toilets could do with some TLC, but improved outdoor seating area has become great addition. Love it!”

“Absolutely outstanding meal at Bruntons restaurant , Stobbs Mill Inn! Emily, our waitress, was friendly, attentive, and made the afternoon extra special. The Peking Duck was perfectly cooked, the Bruschetta fresh and flavorful, and the prawn cocktail was a classic done right. We finished with a heavenly Eton Mess — light, sweet, and delicious. Five stars all round!”

“The masters of sour beer in a lovely setting with good food to accompany it. At the moment it is Asian food such as Bao Buns, I'm not sure if the food offering changes from time to time as it is described as 'pop up' online. Sadly I'm not local to be a regular visitor. If you know the sort of beer Vault City so, then you know if this will be your thing. They have a vast selection of their own beers with some guests as well, and a well stocked can fridge too. I would like to see cask beer supported ideally, but it's great for what Vault City do so well- amazing sour beer. Staff were super friendly too.”

“Went to see Ultimate Eagles. Seen them before and was not disappointed. In the introduction the lead singer stated they were not trying to be the eagles. They were just appreciating as close as possible to the authentic sound of The Eagles. And boy did they live up to that. Harmonies were spot on and the guitars and musicians were great. Thoroughly enjoyable two hours. Highly recommended.”

“We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Lobster Pot after our visit to Blackness Castle. What fun, quirky decor. Our server was so friendly. We did let her know we were taking a bus and she accommodated our time restrictions as best she could which we really appreciated especially given how busy it was. My husband had an 11/10 burger. I had the chips and scampi. Absolutely delicious and probably some of the best chips I’ve ever had. We will visit again the next time we’re in Scotland.”

“A very beautiful and quaint restaurant with amazing customer service served with a smile. Very dog friendly too and Poppy Dog got treats and plenty of friendly pats. Everything was lovely, the food, the decor and even the toilets. The food was amazing and well presented, so thanks to the Chef and a wee walk around the beautiful village to finish it off. A beautiful place to go to.”

“2nd visit here for the Wes Anderson double feature and absolutely making it a regular occurrence to see movies here despite me living outside of the city. The ambiance is unmatched, the food options are amazing and allergy inclusive & there’s also a bar where you can order drinks to take into the film with you! Staff are lovely and always helpful.”

The staff kindly gave me my drink first and let me order again when my friend arrived so we could enjoy together. Really appreciate the great service and understanding. “Our wedding reception dinner at The Bonham was splendid. The staff were exceptionally helpful and worked with us beforehand to make sure everything went perfectly. The dinner itself was quite possibly the finest we’ve experienced. The food was delicious, and the service was seamless. Cannot recommend enough, and we will be returning if we’re ever in Edinburgh again.”

“We had the perfect stay. On arrival our room was ready early and we had been upgraded. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and helpful. The Hotel is clean and comfortable. They have everything you need for your stay. Tea/ coffee tray, decent hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Location is perfect for all tourist attractions. Perfect hotel and we had a perfect stay. We can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so nice.”

“First time here and I'm so pleased with the food and service! We were unaware that they had a limited menu for lunch, so we chose from what was available. Yet, the service size and flavors did not disappoint! My husband and I both chose the same dish. I can’t eat potatoes and asked if they could change them for one of the side dishes, and they did at no extra charge. I was very pleased with the flavors, my husband too, and the overall experience. The prices are very reasonable! The building inside is pretty with some rock walls (they seem to be real rocks) and they simple yet nice decoration. The two boys working today were very attentive and always checking that things were okay. They advised my husband on a drink he wanted to have, too. We would be happy to go back when in Edinburgh again. We would try to go for dinner, though, so we could try different dishes.”

“Ended up here for a meal one evening, our waiter Max was very dedicated, friendly & provided a professional service throughout our meal which was nice to see. Overall the service was prompt, the food took a bit longer than expected however, it was definitely worth the wait upon service. Parking facilities are available on site for free which is ideal and hygiene is followed at a high level which was evident around the restaurant - would recommend!”

“A really nice place, a kind of stylish but also rustic. And the food is really delicious, the lunch menu allows a selection of various options. Especiallly the starter (lion‘s mane) and the dessert made me happy. A really nice fine dining option in Edinburgh.”

“First time in Edinburgh and first time eating at Teuchters Landing. Reservations cannot be made, you just walk up to see if they have space, which they did in our case. We were a party of 8. You order and pay all your food and drinks through an app. It’s also possible to order and pay at the bar. Food was brought out pretty quickly and the service was friendly. All in all a very good experience.”

“Place: It’s a bit on the small side, and seating can feel a little tight, but overall it’s a pleasant and cozy spot. Service: The staff were genuinely lovely — super friendly and really accommodating. Everyone in our group mentioned how kind and attentive the servers were. Food: The halloumi and avocado salad was fantastic — fresh and full of flavour. I tried the Korean filthy chips, which turned out to be more like thick potato wedges. They weren’t bad, just not quite what I expected. Prices: Very fair pricing for both the quality and portion sizes. Conclusion: A great little place that I’d happily visit again.”

The selection of beers was impressive, and the overall vibe of the place was perfect for a relaxed night out.
