βLovely place for a pint or two. The staff are so lovely and it is very kid friendly. Definitely recommend this place to anyoneβ
βLovely restaurant in a fantastic hotel. Our only meal here was breakfast and our full Scottish breakfast is excellent. Breakfast was also well done. In the evening the restaurant and bar are packed. This is obviously a place to go. Prices good. Attentive and professional staff.β
βWe were gifted a voucher for Dinner Bed &Breakfast as we decided to stay Sunday to Monday we opted for Sunday late lunch and the Bed & Breakfast. From when we arrived we had a very friendly welcome from the reception staff, we were given all the information details. The room was very clean with everything needed for our stay . We had a 3 course lunch which was excellent and the best Sunday lunch we have had in a very long time. As it was an anniversary we had complementary Champagne, the service was exceptional with at least 3 different staff attending us nothing was too much trouble and at the end of the meal we were given a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate with Turkish delight and chocolates very nice touch. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and again excellent service would like to thank Kirsty and all the staff we will definitely come back. Ann and Andy Brownβ
βI didn't stay at the hotel but visited the bistro for food. The mussels are incredible, fresh, full of flavour and the bread on the side was epic. The family had various other items and thoroughly enjoyed theirs. Will 100% be back when next in town.β
βIt may seem like a cold place, but the services, rooms, and cuisine make it wonderful. Unfortunately the town has no interesting sites to offer, but the hotel is absolutely excellent. The cuisine is also spectacular: top-notch!β
βVery friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the city, but not too busy of a spot, so no loud noises waking you up. Rooms are very comfortable, bed was soft and cushioned but supportive, very comfortable. We had room service the first night since we got in kind of late. Food was pretty good. Would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.β
βwas not a guest at the hotel but came by for dinner at the court, and was perhaps the best meal of my whole time in edinburgh. the staff were all lovely and attentive, without being overbearing. we had the tasting menu, and the food was all so delicious, the wine pairings absolutely perfect. will definitely be back to try the signature dishes. i would recommend highly to stop by on any visit or special occasion, the space is exceptional and the service was top notch. a special shoutout to elena too for taking care of us all night and making our evening so wonderful, she was exceptional all night making all the right touches that gave for the most wonderful time. thank you all, look forward to visiting again soon!β
βReally nice hotel, staff were very professional, Tomasz on the front desk was super helpful. Room was very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good. The spa was the best part, awesome experience. Hotel has discount parking onsite.β
βThis is the second time I have stayed here. This visit however, was nicer. I was met with very friendly staff as always upon checking in. We were then told that we had been selected for a free upgrade to a suite and was given free parking as well as a welcome drink each and some lovely shortbread for our room. This was such a lovely surprise and made our trip even more special. The hotel is always lovely and clean, not to mention very handy for the tram. I will most definitely come back here. The staff are an asset to the place. You are made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Highly recommend this hotel.β
βOur second stay at the Ibis Styles St. Andrews Square was just as pleasant our first. The staff was friendly and super helpful, calling a taxi, cleaning up breakfast dishes, guiding our dining choices, etc. The rooms are small but very efficiently appointed. The shower worked well, the bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed, even fresh milk to go with the water kettle and tea/coffee. Breakfast was wonderful! It offered everything you could possibly need, and we super enjoyed the nice coffee machine for coffee options. The location was excellent for visiting Edinburgh for a couple of days. Taxi rides were not very expensive, and dinner was walkable. I would say the only frustrating thing about the rooms was the lack of any counter space or hooks for placing clothes and toiletries. In our room, instead of a huge sink basin, a small sink basin with surround counter would not have taken up more space but would have been helpful. Also, the last time we stayed, the dΓ©cor involved cheery, fun pinks and greens with thistle images spread across the walls. I can see where maybe a change was desired, but we really did not prefer the Picasso-esque drawings of distorted naked people and even an orgy over the bed in one of the rooms. The dΓ©cor was a change but not an improvement. It seems maybe Ibis is aiming for a different clientele than in previous years. But we would stay again in a heartbeat.β
βStayed the night as a guest for a wedding that took place at the castle. Gorgeous venue with plenty of history. Spent the evening chatting with other wedding guests in the library bar which was cozy and beautiful. In the morning we went for a stroll out on the grounds which we really enjoyed. Had fun observing the ponies who were grazing in the paddock. Staff were overall very nice. Lovely stay.β
βTop class hotel, they staff are really lovely people, its a credit to management. They were so good with our kids. Breakfast was excellent. Lovely cocktails. Location is really good, 3 min walk to haymarket to get all buses/trams and trains. We used 2 taxi in 4 days. Will definitely recommend again. If youre coming with kids please check out cupapug around corner. A cafe with pug dogs. We loved itβ
βThis was a fantastic hotel in a very great central location to the west end and the main highways. The service was exceptional from all staff, particularly Alexander, who made our visit special. The food, two breakfasts and a dinner, were amazing and the bar was quaint. The room amenities were above board, including drinks, snacks, cleanliness and service. We will definitely stay here again when we return. Five star all the way.β
βFriendliest Cosyiest in Auld Reekie - Edinburgh We recall with emotion the year 1965 when our Founder and Group Chairman Emeritus together with three Scottish friends got together in the very George Hotel in order to found our Catalyst ThinkTank. What was then a vision and mission of unattached independent liberal minds is today a success story throughout the world. The George Hotel is also amongst us welcoming and obliging more than ever particularly during these trying times for all. A vibrant Vote of Thanks indeed, to everyone ever so welcoming, courteous, supportive and always obliging to our members, colleagues and friends from all over the world when in Auld Reekie at the George. From breakfast to dinner all is destined to please and is excelling. Whenever we entertain friends, guests or colleagues the warm, friendly courteous and obliging members of staff nowadays are ever so wonderful. Bless your Hearts.! Very much Commended.β
βWe enjoyed a wonderful tea in the bistro today following my mother's funeral. We received so many comments on the generosity of portions and lovely fresh food on offer from everyone who attended the tea. The food was delicious and obviously lovingly prepared and the serving staff were very attentive and very friendly. Well done to all!!!β
βStopped here for some food. Service was brilliant and food was top notch!β
βWow this place is just fantastic. A hidden gem. The food and service were excellent. Such a beautiful location, good parking and baby facilities. Family friendly. Definitely will be back.β
βWhat an absolutely lovely couple. We felt welcome from the time that my husband and I walked into the Guest House. I celebrated my 50th birthday there and they made it even more special with a lovely bottle of champagne waiting for us in our room on our return from breakfast. I would thoroughly recommend their guest house, it is clean and modern and not far at all from the local amenities. There is a bus stop just to the right of the guest house and the buses are very regular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Ted and Dot they helped make our time in Edinburgh even more special.β
βWe stayed here with our 5 children (one of which is a baby). The 3 bedroom apartment was fantastic - clean, spacious, modern, basically a 'home from home'. As we travelled up by train it was very conveniently located (just a few minutes walk around the corner from haymarket station). Also a min walk up the street to a supermarket for our food shopping during our stay was perfect. There were plenty of places to eat out literally at your doorstep. We walked to Prince street & the Old town/castle every day & it only takes around 10 minutes (there are also lots of buses & tram stops close by too). Theses apartments are in a superb location & we will definitely stay here again the next time we're going to Edinburgh. 100% recommend.β
βJayne at Trailfinders was amazing! So helpful, patient, and accommodating with all our honeymoon requests. She made the whole process stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend!β
βAn amazing service. I was very nervous leaving my cat while I went away but after I met Angela in the pre house visit I was put at ease. It is clear how much she loves animals and my usually timid cat went to her straight away...even climbed on her back. My cat was taking medication which was no problem for Angela and they sent me daily updates including pictures. I would not trust any other company to look after my girl! A***β
βMy boy loves his holidays with Alison and John. They are extremely friendly and the care my boy gets from them is nothing but the best. I would highly recommendβ

βPerfect getaway place very close to Edinburgh. Nature walks in proximity, big spacious room. Would come back again!β
βAbsolutely loved my stay at Seabreeze B&B! Beautiful rooms with fantastic sea views. Salma was a wonderful host - even made sure that she had vegan items in for my breakfasts. She was very easy going and made sure I had everything I needed, whilst letting me feel at home. The decor and facilities are very well done to ensure a lovely, comfortable stay. I loved walking along Portobello beach, and the bus stop is super convenient next door to head into the city centre with no trouble. Would definitely stay here again!β
βVery nice space for a holiday. Close to Edinburg Castle and shops. Apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival! Would definitely stay again.β
βWe arrived Thursday 06/11/25 for a wedding on 07/11/25 departing Saturday 08/11/25 we arrived about 2.30pm and check in was so easy and receptions very helpful I have mobility issues and when I asked if I could get assistance with my luggage up to our room it was not a problem. We had a late brunch and it was excellent the turnip soup was excellent as was the Brie cheese, my granddaughter joined us for dinner at 7pm and again all meals were excellent served piping hot I can highly recommend the Thai vegetable curry, all the staff were very attentive and polite nothing was to much bother this service continued to our departure. We were in room 7 it was large with a king size bed and a modern bathroom. I would highly recommend a stay at The Stair Arms hotel. Thanks to everyoneβ
βWe stayed here in July and had a gorgeous room overlooking the pocket park and garden across the street. Parking was easy, there were 2 restaurants, and the bathtub was ample. All this would have led to a positive review but hotel staff went above and beyond. I left a valuable piece of jewelry behind and they shipped it overseas for me. Excellent service - highly recommend!β
βI had a fantastic stay at this hotel in North Queensferry. The room was amazing β spacious, clean, and incredibly comfortable, with a bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The restaurant was another highlight; the food was truly top-notch and worth every bite. If you can, definitely choose a room with a view of the bridge. Itβs absolutely stunning and adds something special to the whole experience. Parking is available, but finding a spot on the weekends can be a bit challenging, so itβs worth keeping that in mind. Aside from that, the staff and service were exactly what youβd expect from a hotel of this brand: professional, attentive, and consistently helpful. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.β
βWe had our end of season dinner there and the staff at the Tweeddale were fantastic and accommodating to our requirements. Food was great and weβll definitely be back.β
