“Attended here on Sunday 13th October. First of all a massive shout out to the amazing staff you have here. Every single person we interacted with on our visit was fantastic. So friendly, attentive and overall great. Amazing to get this level of customer service. Thank you. Secondly this place is amazing. Me and my family and friends had such an amazing hour or so here. Everything was brilliant. We will definitely be back. My 6 and 9 year old loved their experience and the adults did too. Easy to find and amazing scenery.”

“Lovely, chic and beautifully decorated b&b! The host was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very big, modern and most importantly - with a comfortable, big bed. It's in excellent location for the beach and with excellent public transport links to Edinburgh city centre. A must visit! Thank you Angela!”

“There is an outdoor sports building for different watersports plus special types of bikes that can be hired to allow able bodied people carry people with different types of disabilities around the park. The building also has its own car park with blue badge spaces and a new mobile home parking area with facilities. There is another building with a cafe and toilets, plus meeting rooms for private hire. There blue badge parking in front of the entrance to this building. Plus a very large car park nearby. There is a gravel path around the water. There is also mountain bike trails in certain areas of the park. There is a riding stables nearby, but it was closed to public use since before lockdown. There are 3 car park entrances around Lochore Meadows Country Park. The main one from the village of Lochore. The other 2 are accessed from the Kelty side of the park. I have been told that a holiday caravan park is being constructed on the Kelty side of the park. When that will be opened I don't know.”

“Beautiful park in amazing situation. Visitor centre is high on hill, with brilliant views north, east, and south. Cafe provides good food, and staff are helpful and friendly. Variety of woodland walks for all ages and abilities. Just beautifully kept, with clear signs marking the routes. Al in all ... a great place!!”

“We had a great trip to Kielder Forest. The stick man trail was fun. It was quite a distance for wee legs and when you make it back to the car park, you're half way done. Pack juice and snacks as there are lots of seats and benches to relax.”

“Visited today & wow what an amazing place. Looks fantastic at night when there all lite up. Nice canal walk next to it aswell. Toilets open 24 hours & parking free in winter. Will come back again. Plenty of parking too.”

“This garden has lovely scenery, under the Edinburgh castle. Come here for an escape from the city. It is well maintained and perfect for walks, and picnics. Lots of benches to sit and relax. There is a very good playground for the kids and a beautiful fountain”

“Beautiful park, great for kids and adults, bring some nuts as the resident squirrels eat them right out of your hand, The parking is free, disabled parking is next to the bandstand, drive through the first parking lot and follow the road through, You could also park in the main street and get access to the front entry of the park, just be mindful of any parking fees or time limits, it is easier to park in the parks, parking lot, There is an old church with an old cemetery, look up to the big square tower of the church and see king Bruce, carved at the top, im not entirely sure but there is a connection to robert the Bruce, from the cemetery the views are absolutely stunning u can see the 3 bridges over the firth of forth Next to this church is the ruins of dunfermline abbey its stunning i prefer ruins, it is free to visit both the church and abbey but for the Abbey they said u had to go online and book your ticket and show the arcade to the staff member You don't need to go into the Abbey grounds to appreciate it, u can look down on it from the cemetery, dogs are allowed into the Abbey but not the church, it is worth going into the church its beautiful beyond words inside A wander around to the glasshouse its full of exotic plants from around the world there is also formal gardens right next to the glasshouse, a bit further up the path heading towards the peacock cafe is a sunken Japanese garden it sadly is a bit over grown and the pagoda thing is falling to bits, its still worth going down there though, Near the cafe, which seemed popular on the day I visited, you will find the peacocks wandering around freely, so its best to keep your dog on a lead in this area, from the cafe its only a short walk back to your car, Overall this park is a must visit especially if you are a history enthusiast, all around the park is hidden remnants of historical buildings My only problem with this park is the chronic lack of signs telling you where to find certain areas, so its just a matter of wandering around until you stumble along something historical There are some pretty steep hills and steep paths made of rocks, but most of the main paths are in good condition but not really suitable for someone in a wheelchair There is an old train engine that kids can climb on, as well as a few large kids play parks There is loads of benches or grassy bits to stop and have a picnic, just keep an eye out for rogue squirrels they really aren't afraid of humans The park is big, around 75 acres if I remember but u can do a short or long walk depending on your fitness Stepping into this park feels like u have stepped back in time, u can feel and imagine how it was like back then, take your time and enjoy the atmosphere of this park xx”

“Corstorphine hill nature reserve, situated beside the Edinburgh zoo, is a peaceful retreat with beautiful greenery and some wildlife. It has nice trails and spots for picnics. It is a perfect place for a relaxing day outdoors.”

“First time exploring Cammo Estate and what a lovely serene place it was. Meandering meadows and woodland walks, dotted with ruins and a wee lake. It's quite small but perfect for an afternoon exploring. Toilets were open nearby the Leaf and Bean coffee van (on a Sunday, check opening times as I think they vary). Will definitely come back!”

“I love walking here and it handy it's right outside my door so many walks you can do and enjoy feeding the ducks if you fancy it”

“Nice wander up past the Royal Observatory, and you get some fabulous views over Edinburgh.”

“1 mile walk to the island over a somewhat slippy path. Beautiful views of the ocean and beach. Beware of tide times they're faster than you think”

“Very friendly and helpful. Good knowledge of area and places to go. Facilities were excellent, level ground to park on. We were very pleased and will book the site again and let friends and family how good the place is.”

“Lovely park, with plenty of space to walk your dog. Will definitely go back. The only sad thing is that still some people throw their rubbish in the park; that's quite disrespectful”

“We visited as a family of 6, ranging in age from 2-70. The park was suitable for everybody to visit. We went for refreshments (overpriced) in a nice cafe onsite. We went on the train round the park, which was good fun and informative. We fed the animals, who are quite tame and interested in people (lovely). We used the trampoline, soft play, go-carts, log swing, sand pit, family bikes, musical forest, big chair and gift shop. The weather was nice and the overall day was very enjoyable”

“Amazing farm in the middle of the woods. Lovely place for a day out with the kids. Lots of farm animals, a lot of nature to enjoy walking around, A new playground, a café, toilets, and picnic tables, some of them prepared to make a BBQ. We loved it! It's for free, only £2 for the parking”

“The waterfalls is lovely. There is a beautiful walkway along the Almond river, took it and reached the beach. It's a perfect short walk!”

“Excellent park. Well kept, clean & tidy! Swings, slides, flying fox etc for the children (Inc bucket swing for extra security) large green area, friendly dogs welcome to run but lifting number 2's essential! Solid path all the way around, perfect for kids biking or a morning run! Car park at gate, free some months of the year, otherwise there is a parking charge. Look out for the beautiful birds kept on premises! :)”

“Huge Park, there are two Playgrounds, one small and one is big. The small playground is few secs away from Primary School. The Pilrig house is awesome, I find it very special. It can gets rly crowded during summer. It’s also very good for dog walkers (just pls clean up after ur dog). This park is just 2-3mins away from Pilrig Church in Leith Walk. I’d also say it’s quite maintained. I recommend this park to everyone , single, couple esp for family walking. I used to walk here almost everyday and one round is like 1k steps, walking 5 rounds can make you 5k steps. There are two bus stops near this Park, so to come here is not a problem as it’s very convenient. Coming here by car is not a problem too as it’s free on-street Parking.”

“We had an amazing stay at The Knight Residence by Mansley. The rooms are quiet and rather well-maintained, and the apartment was spacious enough for a family of four. The apartment comes with a washing machine, which is ideal for those who wish to stay longer here. Although it’s a bit warm at night due to the recent heat wave, the helpful staff supplied us with an electric fan to cool the apartment down.”

“A series of artificial lagoons created from old ash settling ponds, now a vital sanctuary for coastal birds. This industrially reclaimed site is a premier spot for birdwatching, particularly for waders and wildfowl, demonstrating successful habitat creation and environmental management on the Forth estuary.”

“Will rate three stars as never been before but I will be coming in June this year on holiday. So will rate again then. Can you scuba dive here and can the staff take my pool pictures on my go pro? Changed rating to 5 stars as of July 2025. Been almost a month since my last visit. Enjoyed every minute of lot. Enjoyed the shallow pool more because it was so hot.”

“As a fan of a more successful rival who also play in green, this is the best training facility I have seen. As a contractor to many pro clubs, the whole setting and friendliness of these guys is second to none. Beautiful place.”

“Easy to get to from the West. Great pies on sale, staff and members are extremely friendly and helpful. Nice wee place to watch your football.”

“Several really good walks and trails for all ages and fitness levels. There is a visitor center that sells ice cream and juice to keep you going on your walk. There's also a play park area with dedicated areas for BBQ.”

“Park with childrens play area free parking and toilets. Theres a scenic coastal walk to Dysart and easy access to imposing Ravenscraig Castle”
