“The staff here are super helpful and kind! I wasn’t sure if my discount code could be used more than once in a day, and my friend was running late. The staff kindly gave me my drink first and let me order again when my friend arrived so we could enjoy together. Really appreciate the great service and understanding. Also, the drink was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!”
“Our wedding reception dinner at The Bonham was splendid. The staff were exceptionally helpful and worked with us beforehand to make sure everything went perfectly. The dinner itself was quite possibly the finest we’ve experienced. The food was delicious, and the service was seamless. Cannot recommend enough, and we will be returning if we’re ever in Edinburgh again.”
“We had the perfect stay. On arrival our room was ready early and we had been upgraded. Every member of staff we met were welcoming and helpful. The Hotel is clean and comfortable. They have everything you need for your stay. Tea/ coffee tray, decent hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Location is perfect for all tourist attractions. Perfect hotel and we had a perfect stay. We can’t thank the staff enough for making our stay so nice.”
“Best night out ever in Edinburgh. Amazing musicians! Has its own unique vibe”
“Very friendly host who offers a warm greeting. The room was lovely. The think I really enjoyed was how quiet everything was, I rarely heard folks in other rooms which I really appreciated. The bed was comfy and the food was good, can’t ask for much more.”
“Really good pizza and so many vegan options! We recommend the vegan parmigiana!”
“First time here and I'm so pleased with the food and service! We were unaware that they had a limited menu for lunch, so we chose from what was available. Yet, the service size and flavors did not disappoint! My husband and I both chose the same dish. I can’t eat potatoes and asked if they could change them for one of the side dishes, and they did at no extra charge. I was very pleased with the flavors, my husband too, and the overall experience. The prices are very reasonable! The building inside is pretty with some rock walls (they seem to be real rocks) and they simple yet nice decoration. The two boys working today were very attentive and always checking that things were okay. They advised my husband on a drink he wanted to have, too. We would be happy to go back when in Edinburgh again. We would try to go for dinner, though, so we could try different dishes.”
“Ended up here for a meal one evening, our waiter Max was very dedicated, friendly & provided a professional service throughout our meal which was nice to see. Overall the service was prompt, the food took a bit longer than expected however, it was definitely worth the wait upon service. Parking facilities are available on site for free which is ideal and hygiene is followed at a high level which was evident around the restaurant - would recommend!”
“A really nice place, a kind of stylish but also rustic. And the food is really delicious, the lunch menu allows a selection of various options. Especiallly the starter (lion‘s mane) and the dessert made me happy. A really nice fine dining option in Edinburgh.”
“This was a last minute, we are hungry, get out of our way kind of stop. But you know what? This was really good. We had our first experience with haggis I liked it a lot. , and everything was really good. We all also had an old fashioned with Scotch whiskey. Really nice!”
“First time in Edinburgh and first time eating at Teuchters Landing. Reservations cannot be made, you just walk up to see if they have space, which they did in our case. We were a party of 8. You order and pay all your food and drinks through an app. It’s also possible to order and pay at the bar. Food was brought out pretty quickly and the service was friendly. All in all a very good experience.”
“Place: It’s a bit on the small side, and seating can feel a little tight, but overall it’s a pleasant and cozy spot. Service: The staff were genuinely lovely — super friendly and really accommodating. Everyone in our group mentioned how kind and attentive the servers were. Food: The halloumi and avocado salad was fantastic — fresh and full of flavour. I tried the Korean filthy chips, which turned out to be more like thick potato wedges. They weren’t bad, just not quite what I expected. Prices: Very fair pricing for both the quality and portion sizes. Conclusion: A great little place that I’d happily visit again.”
“The best real whisky bar in Edinburgh as far as we're concerned. The tap beer selection is also incredibly varied, leading to some difficult order decisions! Been coming here for all least 15 years, and it just gets better and better. Dog friendly, which wasn't as common back in the day. The staff fussed over our elderly pug, which was lovely. We will keep coming back!”
“This is a fun old pub. Interior is classic and rustic with tons of history which you can see on the walls, on the floors, on the bar. Solid cask ale selection and some tasty haggis bonbons. There's a second room in the back but it was pretty quiet in the main room when I visited. Some folks started trickling in after I arrived and quite a diverse range of ages. A classic pub a bit hidden by the construction but these are the places that you remember and hope to never disappear.”
“A gorgeous and quiet bar with exceptionally kind staff who were happy to walk us through their wine and whisky lists. A great spot to try some local whisky and a nice range of wines, with some great food too. Would really recommend stopping by and asking lots about the menus. We learned a lot about the local distilleries and the history behind various whiskies. The staff were lovely!”
“Malt & Hops is a fantastic pub with a wonderful atmosphere. The crowd was friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The selection of beers was impressive, and the overall vibe of the place was perfect for a relaxed night out. We really enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great pub experience in Edinburgh!”
“The Abbey is the perfect pub for us! The service was fast and super-welcoming, the food is amazing and the pub is the nicest! Will definitely come back when visiting Edinburgh again!”
“We stumbled on this place just out exploring. Unique menu, ambiance and excellent service”
“Such a cute place. The stuff was really friendly and the mulled gin amazing”
“A lovely cosy pub off the main road, hidden down a little alley way. We loved it here, the staff were very knowledgeable about the beers, and more than happy to help my partner out with his drink choice. The atmosphere was great, as the bar staff were chatty towards everyone and extremely polite. It’s an old school type of pub, with a cosy fire too. We loved it here!”
“I was on soup kick while visiting Edinburgh and The Bailie Bar did the city proud! The soup of the day was Butternut and Coriander with a slice of focaccia. I was worried because butternut can be a bit sweet, but the coriander and hint of red chili balanced it perfectly. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere warm.”
“Amazing service. First Edinburgh experience and it as so welcoming! Great bartender.”
“We told some of our friends that we wanted to try good haggis, and this was a recommendation. It tends to get busy after lunch and into dinner so I recommend you make reservations. The staff is incredibly helpful and can answer any questions about the menu and great drinks. The food was incredibly flavorful and filling.”
“My husband and I loved this pub!! We randomly stumbled in for drinks one afternoon because my husband had to use the bathroom and it quickly became our favorite pub! We are Americans and were expecting people to be snarky to us because, ya know, but Karyn (our bartender) was incredibly friendly and we had a great chat. She told us about their open mic night on tuesdays and it was great- everyone was talented! Then we came back later on during the week for lunch and it was delicious. The owner, Kym, is lovely! Great service, environment and food- what more can you ask for?!”
“Been told forever to visit here. I finally came and I was NOT disappointed. Very nice establishment. Cosy and warm. The staff were friendly and attentive. Menu had plenty of choice. The beer is was slightly flat, but not horrific. Food was very tasty, and my Polish in-laws loved it. Would definitely come back here again. Great location!”
“The best comedy venue in Scotland. Great vibes, better jokes and atmosphere. A must see if you want to experience classic Scottish standup. During the fringe it gets some of the best acts.”
“Loved the place unreservedly! The service was not only friendly the waiter was very knowledgeable and mastered the answers to all our questions about the beers, wines, their bread and of course their meats. Not only did he speak about the products but also about the purveyors past and present! And best of all the food was delicious and great wine selection. I also enjoyed the design of the place. Overall top notch.”
“Full respect to the chefs and whole team, thank you. Great food was very tasty, appreciate all little details on each plate. Very enjoyed today Christmas lunch. Nice choice of wine too.”
“Went on a Thursday with no booking and, although there was an hour wait outside, the queue moved quicker than expected. Once inside, the atmosphere was Christmassy, warm, and festive. Service was excellent, and our waitress Cecile was fantastic - attentive, friendly, and checked in on us throughout. A lovely experience overall.”
“Food was delicious, we ordered the Cullen Skink and the Lager Battered Haddock, both were exquisite. Vincent’s service was also really good too, he recommended us the Cullen Skink and he couldn’t have been more accurate!”
