“Our steaks were out of this world. Shoana was absolutely lovely and made us feel well looked after. One of our new favourite places to eat. Superb!”
“Excellent atmosphere. The staff helpful and friendly the bar owner a real gentleman. I'd recommend this bar to anyone. The pints are also excellent.”
“Excelent location..great food and drinks in exclent location for party nights in glasgow highly recomended this place please visite this place...”
“Went to Scotland to visit family and decided to stay at the Innkeeper’s Lodge in Strathclyde Park. We only booked for a one night stay but enjoyed it so much we decided to stay another night and luckily the room we stayed in was available for our second night so didn’t hesitate to book it. We stayed in the accessible room which was large enough for wheelchair access, the bed was really comfortable and it had a lovely wet room…we stayed on the bed and breakfast basis and each morning there is unlimited cooked breakfast with tea and coffee. It is very close to the Raith Interchange/M74 - A725 split but you don’t hear any traffic noise at all. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the need arises and would recommend it to anyone. The staff are lovely and really helpful and nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything.”
“We spent two nights here as we were attending a wedding in the area. The room was a great size with lots of space for getting ready and relaxing. The bathroom was lovely and spotless! Breakfast was delicious and all staff were friendly and helpful. One issue we had was no remote for the television. We asked about this at reception and were given one that didn't work. This was annoying as we were too tired to go down and ask for a second time so just done without television for our stay.”
“Perfect place to stay for flying out the next day. Smoking areas outside, as they all are these days, but more than just one. Plus there is a sheltered area just a short 50yard walk towards the airport where you can smoke without getting rained on! They allow you to get deliveroo etc and will call the room when its there. Never had dinner there so can't comment, but menu looks pretty decent. You can hear the planes taking off, but then you're next to an airport... the noise is minimal with the triple glazing. Blackout curtains. My wife and I had a great night's sleep.”
“Had our wedding here and service was fantastic. Linzi in particular went above and beyond and really made it special. Callum, Chris, Emma, Mason and Sophie looked after us really well too”
“Rooms: I stayed in two separate 4-bed dorms and they were clean, well provisioned, towels and shower gel included. No lockers in either room (apparently they're being changed out for new ones across the building), but staff were very helpful storing my bag in a dedicated luggage storage room downstairs. The hostel was full in terms of bookings but you wouldn't know it - it wasn't heaving or loud, very peaceful actually. Service: quick, friendly, efficient, with a smile - can't ask for more in a busy hostel! Location: very central, right by St Enoch subway and a short walk from either of the main stations. Not a 5* hotel, but as hostels go, a wonderful experience and one I'll happily stay in again.”
“always had the best nights there, the staff is amazing and the bouncers are the nicest people, can have a good wee laugh with them”
“Lovely staff, helpful security guards, the music was a good vibe (if you like white girl music), people were also very fun to hangout and dance with (young population mostly ranging from 18-25), would definitely recommend as I will be returning on my next night out !!”
“If you do nothing else in Glasgow, do this tour! Madeline was so well versed in all things Glasgow, history, food, and especially art. It was a special in-depth treat to spend the afternoon with her. We knew we were in for a special treat when she took us off the beaten path and handed us a train ticket! Why see touristy areas, when you can eat and see all the beautiful things of Glasgow. We had picky teenagers with us, and Madeline was quick to pivot and accommodate their diversion to all things seafood and haggis (there was even a vegetarian version to try!). We appreciated this day so much, and I believe she even sparked the desire to attend Glasgow university with our teenager and wealth of art, history, and social information of this area. Thank you!”
“Amazing place!!. It was truly a pleasant surprise to go to this restaurant and find authentic Italian food . Everything we tried was amazing, the owner and the staff in general were great, everybody make you feel welcome and the food is the best we have tried in Glasgow, we will definitely come back.”
“Went looking for a decent whiskey bar while in Glasgow city centre for a couple of nights and found an excellent one. I know a decent amount about whiskey and have a collection of around 40 bottles, so I asked the staff to recommend me something. I told them I had no preference as long as they're smooth on the way down. The lady brought me 4 whiskies to choose from and explained them all. I couldn't decide which to try so I bought all 4, and I wasn't disappointed. All 4 were new to me and I was delighted with the recommendations. Great decor and feel. Great atmosphere. Hundreds of bottles to try. Knowledgeable staff who know their drams.”
“We held a special christening lunch here and everybody raved about the food. Smiths were excellent at dealing with our dietary requirements and gave us ample space in the restaurant for comfortable eating as we had two babies in prams. Delighted we chose to spend our special day here and will return.”
“Brilliant visit. Went to a wine and cheese night with Anthony. A really enjoyable night as always will be back. We have great experiences welcoming everyone, even our older relatives.”
“Never ordered any food so I can't comment. We were there for a night out, drinks and chat. Great bar, great music, great staff. There are also tables outside, which is nice when it's sunny in Glasgow”
“Brilliant pub especially if you are a Rangers supporter”
“Visited for lunch and the food was fantastic. Massive portions and all very tasty. Staff were friendly and very helpful”
“Very popular eating establishment. Great menu choice, huge portions and good quality. Update: Just had the festive menu. Excellent value, service a tad slow but they were very busy. Note to chef though: the Xmas pudding is advertised as accompanied by brandy sauce, not the custard you served me. That said the food was excellent.”
“Food was great, good atmosphere to sit in,,service was good but wee bit slow btween our main & deserts. Restaurant was busy though.”
“We were booked as a group of 8 for drinks only in Jacks Bar. Excellent service from the bar staff with great cocktails to choose from. One of our party is a wheelchair user and everything was very accessible for him and staff were very attentive to move his chair into storage when not required . It got a bit chilly with the air con at one point but staff kindly turned it down on request.”
“I came into Black Sheep coffee for a Monday morning does of caffeine, the coffee shop was clean and had all food items fresh, warm and available to customer. Atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming. Euan working behind the till was friendly, welcoming and approachable, able to answer any questions regarding dietaries for food and drink options. Overall, fantastic service and highly recommend there iced Carmel lattes! Thank you ☺️”
“neat casual cafe, very welcoming and hospitable staff. I ordered crab Benedict with chilli and lime as it was on special. I was intrigued by chilli and lime in a breakfast dish so thought to give it a try. Flavours were so subtle and well balanced , it was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyed it with Cappuccino. ThankYou”
“Went in yesterday with a mate, and got asked if we wanted a sausage sandwich off the barmaid which we gladly said yes. It was delicious and so kind of the girl to offer us a free butty.”
