“We had a lovely Scottish experience with our tour group at Hermann’s restaurant in Sterling. Our guide, a bagpiper from Sterling castle piped us down from the castle to the old town restaurant and we all came inside. He told us stories, played the bagpipes and we had a wonderful meal in the comfortable restaurant. Our Piper presented the haggis, which was absolutely delicious, and addressed the proud haggis with the famous Robbie Burns poem. A Scottish flag waved in the breeze from the open window. It was a lovely experience and as Scottish as you can get in an Austrian restaurant!”

“Despite my odd request, the chefs here were happy to cook my catch of local brown crab. They did a wonderful job and we had a fine and very reasonably priced meal. Service was very friendly. Very happy with the experience.”

“What a wonderful surprise in the heart of Merchant City! I'm a huge fan of Turkiye and Turkish food, and stepping into this place is just like being transported abroad in the best way. The service is characteristically warm and friendly in that way that all Turkish people are, the food is exceptional, the complimentary bread is delicious, and the portions are huge. “Thank you for a lovely special evening for my mums 70th birthday. The food and atmosphere were so nice and the staff were all so lovely and nothing was too much. They sang happy birthday for my mum which was thicing on the cake. Very reasonable priced and will definitely will be back again soon!”

“My daughter had a table booked for us visiting Glasgow. Place was very busy, staff were welcoming and very helpful. We all tried a different burger with a side to share, all really tasty and a good size. Three burgers, one side, three beers £76.... not the cheapest place to grab a snack, but very good. Was a treat when visiting. Would call again and try a different one next time....”

“Excellent dog friendly facilities with towels for mucky paws, blankets for sleeping on, a stack of water bowls and free treats. Really welcoming. Friendly staff and efficient service. Reasonable veggie options with the halloumi flatbread being really tasty. We had a 40% off mains voucher, so our lunch was super cheap, making it absolutely brilliant value. Very clean, even in the doggie area.”

“We did a eat walk food tours in Glasgow and this was one of our first stops. It was in Central Station. It was a perfect spot. The Steak Frites was cooked perfectly — juicy and full of flavor — while the crispy fries were spot on. We paired it with the famous Scottish Irn-Bru, adding a fun local twist. Great food, great service, and a great vibe! Highly recommend”

“1st visit to anchorline for a special occasion. Nice setting , staff were excellent. Decent range on the menu. Soup was superb as were the main courses. Prices in keeping with a posh city centre venue. £130 for 2 people with 2 courses and a couple of drinks”

“Last night, we visited the ever popular Ubiquitous Chip and it was another great dining experience. The Chip (as it's known) is a sister business to Stravaigin (another favourite of ours) and it's recently reopened after a bit of a refurbishment. There are various spaces to enjoy including a pub and bar as well as a large multi level restaurant area. The vaulted glass cieling area is a mix of brick, iron and big green plants. It's softened by interesting artwork, especially the stairway to the bathroom. Staff are always attentive, casual in approach but knowledgable. The atmosphere is always buzzing and the crowd tends to be very local. We enjoyed torched makeral and pigeon to start. Followed by sea trout and venison. To finish our meal, the desserts (chocolate delice and fig & custard) were the highlight. Highly recommend this Ashton Lane stalwart.”

“Had a small (7 person) Christmas lunch on 19th December with work colleagues. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the food. The waitress was fantastic and made sure everyone was attended to. Would recommend for future meals out.”

“So good I don’t even want to review in all honesty, my new favourite peri place absolutely. Just a shame it’s a 40 minute trip for myself but absolute worth it 100% Complete Nando’s feel to it, but done 10x better, doesn’t feel like fake chicken the same way black rooster can feel at times and perfect amount of seats to have a great dining experience. Second time coming here and getting the exact same meal being the ladz loaded box 1- wrap, peri fries and the hot chicken strips. Chicken cooked to perfection fantastic flavour, will happily be back again. And again. Amazing friendly staff too served by Katie and the others. Desert place next door I think is attracted but unfortunately don’t have the calories to try but feel like it’ll be just as good.”

“We went here for my son's birthday, it's great to have such a nice Italian restaurant in our town. We hadn't booked but were welcomed in, and I'll say they could not do enough for us. Genuinely such a warm welcome and my little boy really appreciated it. Food wise my daughter enjoyed her pepperoni pizza, my son loved his cheese pizza, I thought my arrabiata was pretty good and my wife's tagliatelle was okay. I recommend the focaccia which was amazing, although my wife thought her arancini was just fine. I'd probably rate it as a 4 but we left it to the birthday boy who rated it a 5, and I was happy to rate it as a 5 because everyone was so welcoming. They do have a 2 course meal deal between 5 and 6 on certain days so I'd definitely recommend.”

“This was a first time visit and I absolutely adored it. We made an upfront reservation for 5 people and all 5 of us had a 3 course meal (starter, maind and desserrt). As you can see from the pictures everyone had a different meal. We all definitely enjoyed it. The Service was absolutely amazing and very helpful, if there were any questions from the fest. They were very organised as well and everyone was served their meal without waiting to much. I absolutely and highly cyan recommend that place :) and I hope that standard that they have, they'll keep it up that way. I can't wait to come back here, when I'm over for the next holiday again.”

“Came for Valentine's night, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious, we shared a starter of nachos which were tasty, my husband had the fillet steak he said the steak was magic but the peppercorn sauce let it down, it was just like a gravy with peppercorns in it. But he still enjoyed the meal. My hunters chicken was delicious can't fault it at all, too full for dessert, please consider putting cheesecake on your dessert menu lol. We will definitely be back, you are a credit to Hamilton”
