“Food is always good except for the puddings. Had chicken satay with boiled rice which was lovely and good portions. Had sticky toffee pudding as desert which was an over microwaved syrup sponge so was crispy & hard.”

They serve Scottish, Italian and Indian cuisine. Food is all excellent, as is service and ambiance .A tad early perhaps with Xmas Deccy's but nice nonetheless. They don't open very late so don't plan an evening feast.”

“Nice wee place, italian restaurant / chippy. Portions were big, pizza was delicious although bit hard to eat because of amount of cheese on it as the base is lovely and thin so had to fold it to eat it as was soggy and floppy but very tasty. Partners pasta Ragu was delicious, again a big portion. Staff were nice, wine was lovely and ideal position on Byres Road as we were going to Oran Mor for a gig.”

“We booked a special birthday meal last Sunday afternoon for a party of 8 adults & 5 children. We were made very welcome by all the staff. Cava has a lovely atmosphere, good background music ( not too loud ) and delicious food. We picked Cava as it serves vegetarian & gluten free food. Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and a special thank you to our young waiter who was very patient and we never felt rushed.”

“Food is delicious with good sized portions. My friend and I have visited it a few times. The 1st time we went we ordered starters, we were so full up that we didn't have room for the main. We now order mixed starters and then go to deserts. Great value, staff are nice especially the young lad, sorry forget his name. Recommend”

“A lovely place on a wet and dull day - can imagine how it would be on a lovely summer day with the pond. Food and service was great. Nice and clean venue well laid out and not cramped. Also noted as extremely dog friendly. When I pulled into the parking on the main road I didn't see a sign for the Boathouse but assumed it was that building (which it was!)”

Great Rock music in the background, and unlike other hard rock cafes I've been in other cities around the world, this Glasgow one actually features rock music, and not pop or commercial artists. Food was undoubtedly delicious, pretty good selection of dishes, all finger-licking. Staff was absolutely wonderful and had the chance to be looked after by the manager himself who was the kindest and coolest person ever. Offered to place a request for music songs that we wanted. Great experience, would definitely recommend, and be coming again. Be prepared for prices a bit high, it's hard Rock Cafe after all, their stuff won't be very cheap.”

“I was spending the weekend in Loch Lomond and wanted to try a local restaurant, after looking on Google I noticed that The Stables came out on top with the best reviews, so after a quick phone call we left our hotel and headed into Balloch, they are located in the city centre and have on site parking available which does get quite busy. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating available, the staff are so friendly and down to earth willing to answer any question and go the extra mile. Myself & my Girlfriend ordered the chicken goujons, which is usually a go to for us when we see it on a menu. It was really busy but the food was served in no time at all and tasted delicious, no meal is complete without desert, so a banana boat & a chocolate fudge cake sounded just what we were after. Once again served in no time at all considering they were really busy. All in all our experience was great: from the food to the really friendly staff it will definitely make us go back for more!”

“Came here by chance whilst walking through shettleston with my partner and i think it’s safe to say i have been thinking about coming back ever since. The food was great (a nice pub for pub food) the drinks menu had a nice variety and the bar staff were friendly enough! Will be a go too place to drink/eat for future! :) thank you”

“Redstones Hotel Uddingston is a modern, comfortable hotel, bar & restaurant. From the menu you can choose from either a very generous side order to an extremely tasty main meal with a good choice of desserts. Prices were reasonable & the bar/restaurant area where we dined was immaculate! Covid-19 precautions were inplace throughout, i.e the wearing of face coverings, social distancing & hand sanitiser. The staff were very friendly & helpful, service with a smile! You can just walk-in or if you prefer, you can book in advance, which I would suggest doing so Friday-Sunday. There are spacious washrooms for all abilities. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden with outdoor heating & lighting surrounding the many benches & tables, lovely to Sit outside even in the colder weather. Would recommend a visit, even if just for the hot chocolate!”

“Went in for the 2 courses for £10 lunch menu and wasn’t expecting much but our doubts were absolutely blown out of the water. The food was amazing and so too was the service. Wife said the macaroni cheese was great and I honestly couldn’t fault the soup or the club sandwich. Star of the show was those salt and chilli chips. Absolute top tier. The server was great and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.”

“Dropped in on a busy Sunday lunchtime, we hadn't booked but they managed to fit us in with no bother, Brodies was recommended and didn't disappoint, the hash browns are off the Scale!!! Yeah think they're the best I've had, toastie had loads of filling. Great place to chill and watch the world go by, Back on 8th Oct, we had the Burgers that were excellent, really quiet and chilled place on a Tuesday night. “My wife and I visited here recently. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The decor is classy yet comfortable. We ordered our food, and when it came relatively fast. The food tasted as good as it looked and vegetables were perfectly cooked. The food and drinks were priced adequately, and everything came under 50 pounds. I would recommend visiting this place. We were pleasantly surprised, and I'm sure other people will enjoy it as much as we did.”

“We did the Thai cooking class and it was great fun! We were shown how to make dumplings as well as massaman curry in a really easy way that can be replicated at home. The hostess and chef were very knowledgeable and approachable. Would definitely recommend this experience.”

I wanted to leave a review simply because of the service. The staff were excellent from start to finish. Took the fact my son has a nut allergy seriously and with good grace and were always smiling despite wearing many hats and being busy. We went for the Monday tapas deal, where tapas are only £4 each, and paired it with a couple of cocktails (yes, even at lunch—no regrets!). The pina colada were strong, fruity, and refreshing, and the cocktail menu had loads of tempting options. As for the tapas, some dishes really stood out—especially the baked cheese bread balls.A couple items were a bit over-fried, but overall the flavours were vibrant and satisfying. For the price, it's a solid deal. The staff were lovely—friendly and quick without rushing us. The decor adds to the charm: tropical, colorful, and feels like a mini escape from the city.
