βCheck website to see what's open\on. Large free car park, woods, play area, walk to see the sea (careful as erosion at the edge) there's a land train too. Interesting walk round the hall, a zoo with rescued coatis, pigs, birds etc nice cafe too after walking round the gardens. Great day out!β
βWeβve recently visited your beautiful castle for Christmas and it was absolutely beautiful and stunning. We were very excited about it and we definitely were not disappointed. Thank you for all the hard work and love you have all put into this experience. Looking forward to next time xxβ
βVisited with my Granddaughter who's 4 and had a lovely time. Staff very helpful, plenty to do and the food for this type of attraction was the best I've had. Never known my Granddaughter to finish a burger and fries and not leave any, usually just ends up playing with the food. Book a table, it's pretty busy across lunchtime and although you can take a picnic, the food in the cafe is fab.β
βJust a great place for nature lovers in general, birders in particular. If you just want a quiet walk then it is ideal as well. People using it all seem respectful of the area and wildlife. Ample parking and there is the fantastic Butty Bus. Brilliant owner and staff, the food and drinks are top notch and well priced. Even on a rainy day there are a number of well maintained hides and a covered picnic area. I've seen it developed over the years and it's a real hidden gem. Perfect for individuals, families or even larger groups. Dogs are ok on the main thoroughfare but not around the lakes for obvious reasons.β
βA truly beautiful afternoon tea. Upgraded to champagne and so glad we did ~ itβs delicious. Seated in the Bloomsbury Room with gorgeous views, we were made welcome and were very well looked after by the lovely staff. The food was served on exquisite hand painted china with a matching tea set for the choice of tea. Everything was delicious and we had several fresh pots of tea offered to us ~ we did not feel rushed at any point. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning soon. Thank you all for making it so special.β
βWe have just enjoyed a takeaway meal for my Grandsons 16th birthday. We all chose different appetisers , main courses and a variety of Rice. We had the smaller portions which were perfect. We all swapped tasters and a great time was had by all. Every mouthful of every dish was absolutely superb and we certainly will use Atiyas for our next celebratory takeaway.β
βHad a fantastic evening here with friends. The food was spot on, although one criticism was the lack of brie and cranberry in the pie, but the wife loves that stuff. Everyone else loved the food, the staff were great and we enjoyed having a laugh with them. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.β
βReally lovely beach, great for long walks and dog walking. Quiet and spacious , lovely tea rooms by the main car park was a nice find also.β
βLovely place to visit, plenty of wildlife to see, particularly enjoyed the nature walk, along with the foxgloves and many robins and sculptures through that part.β
Orient Hair Design is a hair salon offering attentive service in a relaxed setting. Services include precise haircuts and beard trims with skin fades available. A friendly manner helps make each visit straightforward.
βAmazingly managed spaces. The best part is - if you visit for once - the ticket usually remains valid for a year; i e. you can visit as many times as you want for a year with a single ticket for once. It is very well maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.β
βThis is a fantastic place with some arresting art. I enjoyed my visit and it is free. Definitely go here when in Hull.β
βWarm, clean, comfortable pub. Friendly, professional staff. Good food ... properly cooked ... not run of the mill pub food - portions warmed up in the microwave. Would definitely go again.β
βLovely walk along the riverside. Ice cream van there if you fancy a treat and it's great to see the amazing Humber Bridge up close. I also recommend a walk through the country park too.β
βGiant yorkshire pudding highly recommend. Stunning food and reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Can't fault it. Highly recommend trying this place if your in the area. You are in for a treat.β
βWhy did it take us so long to try the restaurant I have no idea and no excuses, however from entering the restaurant with its authentic ambience, and attentive server, we could only talk about how good the food and service was, it was plentiful, tasty, and well presented, to top it all we were presented with a kindly gesture of a beautiful sweet in recognition of our 25th wedding anniversary, how very kind, I am not one to write a review but I just had to, this was so so good, the staff and food were worth letting everyone know how good this place is, don't leave it too long, try it you won't be disappointed Thank you Fez we had a wonderful evening Mark and Lindsay Vausβ
βWe stayed in the hotel whilst visiting a family member who was in hospital. The room was very clean and cosey and the staff were exceptional! They were always friendly and went out of their way to help us and solve any problems we had, including posting our spare car keys to us after we left them behind. The hotel is close to the town centre without being too close and parking is no problem.β
βReally nice and good food. Very tasty. Very nice staff. Everything was really good.β
βReally outstanding experience. So much fun incorporated into this project. Fantastic experience, set around a prehistoric Jurassic scene with an innovative golf course. Two very designed and detailed golf courses, able to choose between two games or the complete experience involving two golf course together. Easily spend an entire day here and go back for more and repeat. Itβs fun and educational healthy atmosphere. Staff are polite very well presented, and approachable whether youβre a pro or a novice itβs for everyone, families, couples, singles etc very disability accessible and friendly. Eating area perfectly arranged with customer bringing their own food and snacks, can also purchase drink and light snacks at the bar area. Really interactive experience with a relaxed atmosphere can walk through the golf courses with a beverage, or sit down on chairs for a little rest during the gamesβ
βMy son loves walking round the dock and looking at the boats etc. lovely atmosphereβ
βNot a massive fan of Indian food but decided to try Golden Bengal and wow from first contact to the food being eaten, the experience was great and the food was greater, would definitely come backβ
βAfter reading previous reviews and worrying about previous comments, I can honestly say our experience was far more relaxed and positive. Lovely location in a very quiet village. The weekend was fairly quiet even with nearly all the pitches taken. It wasn't rowdy, which if I'm honest I was expecting this from the comments, everyone seemed respectful on our stay. The pub food was amazing value for money and tasted really nice. If your looking for activities you will have to travel away from the campsite to the local towns, we travelled to Goole to the shops and free museum, good for young children. I think if your looking for a site just to relax, this would be the one and if you like to have a drink in the evening and a game of pool they have a small cosey pub on site. Showers are very nice and clean and to be honest the Β£1 per 2 minutes on the machine actually helps keep the queues down at the showers, not once did I need to queue and I showered every morning. It was a bank holiday weekend at the end of April, The Manager was present a lot over the weekend doing general maintenance on the site which definitely shows well as it seemed well kept when we stayed. I honestly wouldn't let the reviews put you off. It's worth at least experiencing once! If you have young children it may be best to bring more activities along with you as my daughter got a little bored but only because other campers went out for the day and she was alone, there is a small children's park for the kids though. I'd say that's the only thing missing is some daytime entertainment at the pub to bring everyone together. However the manager has his reasons for not opening during the day which is understandable. It may be a nice idea to open a small grocery shop on site? Not sure if this has been thought about but would be handy to be able to buy a few bits on site instead of driving out but again probably the cost that would be involved may put the owner off doing so. Again totally understandable. My mum came to stay in the little rooms with ensuites that have availability, which was nice and cosy. So if you have friends who won't camp, it's ideal for them to book a room instead! All in all it was a pleasant stay. We would definitely come back in the near future if we want a relaxing break. Also the pitch we camped on was very well sheltered and the manager said he usually puts tents in this area. On other sites we usually feel the wind on the tent slot but this site we barely felt the tent moving in higher winds because it's very well sheltered! Big bonus and good for first time campers who don't want to be put off.β
βGreat for lovely walk with the dogs or kids. It has a lovely lake, restaurant, sandpit with a small paddling pool.β
βPut simply, outstanding. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere and very clean. The food was amazing, fresh, cooked perfectly and extremely tasty. My daughter had a fresh made pizza (we watched the chef make it), and it's definitely one of the best pizzas I've tasted. She loved it. The salmon and lamb dishes were outstanding. The cheese board, well, I thought it was for sharing it was that big, no, it was an individual serving. It was amazing, along with lemon gellato and Eaton mess, it finished off the meal. All in all, it is very reasonably priced for what you get. I would highly recommend coming here.β
βA lovely comfortable lodge, very clean, in a wonderful peaceful location, miles away from London, which is a real plus as far as I'm concerned. It did appear as if someone may have sat on the couch before but that's what a couch is intended for. We did a little research before booking our stay so we knew what was around before we arrived. I consider it to have been excellent value for money. Of course, what one person considers good value may not be by someone else. Always worth bearing in mind.β
βWe love this place. There's a normal large rectangular pool which gets deeper at one end in the usual way. Then there's a more shallow pool for children at one depth. Then there's a very shallow play area with tipping buckets, water squirters and a small tube slide, it also has seats under the water with bubble jets. Then there's two bigger tube slides accessible up a spiral staircase. It's really great, perfect for families. Make sure to book tickets though because it can get full.β
βStayed in Malton over the weekend, tried a few different places around (with not much success in terms of good food) and really enjoyed El Gringos. Flavourful food, delicious cocktails, steak was properly cooked. βHotβ chimichanga options was vey mild, but I guess it depends on your heat tolerance.β
βHow the young guy at the till kept his cool with a customer insisting an on- line offer should be applied in-store was beyond me. The queue was getting longer and longer and more annoyed that another till opened briefly, then shut again. Manager was called, saying nobody available due to doors being open because of a delivery ( true, I saw the delivery wagon when entering retail park) . My only criticism is surely at near Xmas times that more people should move onto the tills when something like this occurs!! ? And to clarify on its on-line deals. Apart from that, it's generally a fantastic store, well run , well presented and clean . Credit to the young guy on the till on Saturday 16 December.β
βA total British pub experience. An interesting diverse tasty menu. Good rices & fast service. A fantastic ub meal or place to drink & chatβ
βBeen for lunch this week. As good as ever, if not even a bit better. Lovely nicely cooked food and a great atmopsphere. Even made the dog very welcome.β
