“Last Friday my husband and I went to George Michael’s and we had a lovely Kleftico meal - the atmosphere was fine - but unfortunately after leaving the restaurant my husband misplaced his footing on the moon shaped steps - l could see he was going to fall and l reached out to save him and we BOTH tumbled down and hit the pavement ! My point is that there were NO rails outside to hold onto - had there been this would never have happened! I broke my glasses which will have to be replaced- banged my forehead on the concrete - and generally we both were very shaken up - two very kind passers by helped me get up ( for which l give them many thanks - names not known) l am nearly 82 - husband 86 ! I think a rail maybe beneficial and may avoid this happening again……but it was a very nice meal ….”

“Absolute must eat here! Fantastic food and drink! The food was great and very authentic. The staff spent time with us to talk, recommend foods and even the owner came out to give us wine recommendations, to which we ended up loving and buying the bottle! Such an authentic Italian with a great family atmosphere great for all occasions. We will be back, I cannot wait to try the pizzas next, the pasta dishes we ordered were perfect, cooked to PERFECTION! Cannot wait to be back!”

“Reserved a table and was seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was inviting with a modern style to it. The staff were friendly and very helpful, but a little slow at times. We were seated in the outside glasses area but I felt somewhat uncomfortable the whole time I was there as the tables were so close, we could hear everyone else's conversations, so felt unable to talk private ourselves. The food arrived very fast and was hot and fairly tasty. Overall, a nice experience, but was room for some improvements. Aside from that, an enjoyable experience.”

“We had this for the first time today with a delivery. The food was delivered by a very pleasant delivery driver and arrived piping hot. The portion sizes are very good. We had chicken curry, chicken passanda and lamb pathia along with onion bahjis and popadoms with pickle tray. Everything was extremely tasty and we will definitely order from here again.”

“Clarks - wow! What an amazing find, worth a trip to Scarborough alone! From the understated exterior to the paired back interior, the focus is on service and food and Clarks delivers both in spades. We had the risotto “the best risotto i’ve ever had” and the Clarks Surf n Turf - an 8oz filet ( m rare ) and a half lobster. The steak was melt in the mouth delicious and the lobster - SO fresh, SO delicious. I think i could eat here every night and never become bored. An awesome place i implore everyone to visit. There’s also a free car park nearby in case Scarboros one Uber driver is busy. Essential 5*”

“Came in for some food and it turns out it was the weekly quiz night. Had lots of fun and some banging food. John and Claire were really attentive too, bringing cutlery out before I’d even finished my order and running me through the different beers on tap.”

They helped in every way possible and really went above and beyond - no question was too big or too small. I would 100% recommend them for any private party and the food was absolutely delicious. “My colleague and I went to Al Porto Italian restaurant on Thursday and were blown away by our food! The restaurant has a really nice, chilled out vibe, but still holds a level of class. I had the duck liver to start followed by the best risotto I've ever tasted. My colleague had the garlic prawns to start and the spaghetti carbonara for his main. All of the food was lovely”

“Visited on a Saturday night for a joint birthday meal for my wife and her brother. A deposit was needed in advance as it was a large table but this was taken off the bill. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious as usual. We had starters and mains and then took our own birthday cakes which the staff were more than happy to prepare and light the candles before bringing over to us. They also provided plates and knives for us to eat the cake.”

“Tried here tonight whilst working away in Hull. A lovely friendly restaurant where i was made to feel very welcome despite it being a quiet Tues night. “We had a beautiful meal at the Millhouse on Wednesday, the food was beautifully presented which was Salmon Omelette with a salad and chips. It wasn’t only the presentation of the food that was lovely, the staff were brilliant too. My friend and I had two assistant dogs, one in training. Normally , when we go out for a meal together we are placed near a cold door or somewhere inconvenient to us as a customer. However, this wasn’t the case at the Millhouse. We were shown to a table by the window and the staff could not have been more helpful. We really enjoyed our meal and will be back.”
