“We went for Christmas dinner yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much bother for them. The staff were all in a great Christmas spirit. The manager Julie came over to personally check if everything was ok and if we needed anything and even managed a little chat with us. The portions were very generous and all very delicious. “Brought my parents for lunch. One of the staff in particular (Emma?) was really helpful. She sorted a table for us with extra space by the window and looked after my elderly mum at the carvery. The food was good and reasonably priced and the views are fabulous.”

“Superb service, especially on match days. They put enough staff on, and no matter how busy it is you will always get served quickly, so long as you don't join the queue which seems to form whenever there are young ones around. Just stand near the bar and "jostle" your way to to the front, and you will inevitably get served in turn and quickly”

“Stopped by to feed the kids while waiting for a train at Lime Street. Excellent value for money and decent sized portions. We ordered via the app and the food came quickly. The kitchen ran out of ice cream but the server was polite and explained the other options we could have instead.”

“We come every Monday night for Wayne’s fantastic quiz night! Brilliant pen and paper quiz with questions for everyone ☺️ The restaurant/pub has recently been taken over by new management and since then the food has been to die for! Fresh food at great prices! We have ordered various different menu items and each one can not be faulted. The staff are amazing too and cannot do enough for you with pleasant attitudes 100% of the time. The cleanliness of the pub is remarkable as-well and we will continue to enjoy our weekly visits!☺️”

“We loved every single moment . The staff made christmas delightful without the stresses of cooking and dishes . It was our 1st time eating out on christmas day and will for sure 100% be back next year ! We didn't have any issues, though, a few comments to be made regarding choices for the gluten-free menu, which I have raised already with GK, though it didn't dampen our days . The 0% was a delightful treat, and we were so glad we felt like we were 100% enjoying the christmas spirits . All snr staff were happy and delightful as always . Id 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and especially if you're thinking of eating out christmas day !”

“This is the best Greene King I’ve been to. It’s just had a massive refurb and looks very modern. It has a big TV wall with the match on the big screen. Next to it on the smaller TVs next to it with sky sports news so you can monitor the other matches at the same time. It has a fab dart board also that adds up your scores automatically. Toilets are spotless. My first meal here was burger and chips and it was fresh with some lovely sea salt on my chips. I was on lemonade and it was nice and tasty! Fully recommend this place and it has a nice size car park to make it easy to drive there. Monday nights is Speed Quizzing which is great fun, free to play and you can win a gift card as well.”

“Came in Tuesday night, I ordered fish and chips and it was lovely. Service was excellent and efficient. The vibe in the pub is really nice, the decor is classy and modern but still feels like an homely pub. Overall, my experience here was amazing. Will definitely be coming back. Big up the staff, they added the extra pizazz that really made the experience.”

“We stopped here on a journey down the M6 instead of using the motorway service area. It's a massive pub that has the normal great Wetherspoons menu with something for everyone. The pub was clean and tidy, and food came quickly, especially when ordering on the app. Everyth was hot and well cooked.”

“I never normally leave reviews but felt this place deserves a glowing review. We arranged for our end of season golf presentation to be held here (24 of us) and from the minute we arrived it was so welcoming and friendly. Tina and the team have this place running brilliant and with great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food and drinks were flowing. The place is a mix of young and older people but all in very high spirits.”

“A good place to stop halfway around the shops… This Pret is a nice spacious cafe with super comfortable seats and a good choice of food and drinks. We came in here initially hoping to get a nice refreshing iced tea but unfortunately couldn’t see any on the menu (so assumed that iced tea isn’t an option in Pret, as we’ve never been to one before) there were bottles of green tea in the fridge but it wasn’t quite what we were looking for. The cake selection was brilliant and all of them looked great, my partner chose a chocolate croissant - she said it was delicious and one of the best ones she’s ever had, it was nice and light pastry with plenty of chocolate filling/flavour. We had a bottle of peach tea from the fridge which was ok but nothing amazing. The leather seats in here are very comfortable and you’ll just sink into them, I honestly could have sat there for hours. The staff were very friendly, at least the gentleman who served us was - he was very chatty and had a smile on his face which just made the whole transaction a better experience.”

“Started the day here for a friend's 50th birthday and watch the rugby. Very clean, comfy place, lots of room and seating. Friendly staff and great range of drinks, even quality whisky, bonus for me and would definitely visit again Did eat here so can't comment on the food”

“Went in on probably one of the busiest days. The first pint of Boltmaker was a bit cloudy,but the barman quickly poured another for me and the rest were delicious. Considering the crowds, the food service was quick and the food nice. No problem getting serviced either at the bar.”

“This was a superb pub for drinking, with a bright and well styled interior! The pillars and boxed seating in some areas are really nice, counter is well-presented too. Christmas decorations are pretty and toilets were fine, cleanliness as a whole is consistent. I had a tasty Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and seating is comfortable, table was well kept too!”

“Ordered for the first time today - tried the lamb ribs and the Bosnian kebab, both were absolutely delicious! Great salad and really tasty rice and fresh bread too. Can't wait to try more off the menu, all looks so good. Will definitely visit again, highly recommend! Hope that there will be option to order online/on the phone soon too.”
