“Sat here now. Really good food. Just had the all you can eat tapas (Thursday). Think it’s £15.95 per person. Staff have been great. Food has been lovely. Feeling very full and will be coming here again.”

“My first time visiting for an 80th birthday party the other day, we had a lovely time. The food was very good, and the service was friendly, accomodating and amazing all-round . Our server, Jackie, went above and beyond for everyone there and she was absolutely fab. The chocolate orange martini also went down a treat as well!”

“Really nice gem of a cafe in Stanley Park. Plenty of seating space available. Staff are very friendly and on top of clearing tables and cleaning up the cafe as the day goes. Prices were very reasonable and the portion size was more than adequate. The steak and onion ciabatta was delicious, I would happily order that again. 5 stars, would definitely recommend.”

“This restaurant may look small from the front, but it offers plenty of seating inside. The interior design is simple yet appealing, with a cosy atmosphere complemented by background music. There are many outstanding aspects of this place: the portions are satisfying for the price, and the food is incredibly flavourful. There is also a wide variety of menu options to choose from. The service is friendly as well.”

“Lazeez is always banging food! With great service & ultimate pricing! I love ordering the lamb Quzi... Its always served very quickly and tastes delicious! A big plate of tasty rice, a whole naan, salad, a choice of sides (I like the aubergine the most) and a tender succulent bowl of lamb. I don't know why I'm not here every day! Your always greeted with a complimentary soup too which tastes delicious!”

“What a find just along from Penny Lane. A real hidden gem of a restaurant. Unassuming from the outside but tastefully done on the inside. Very well themed very clean and a very pleasant setting for an afternoon tea and cake, glass of wine or cocktail, small plates, or in fact an excellent range of starters, main courses, and deserts. All good portions, well presented, and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, offering an excellent service. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommended.”

“Finally booked for Sunday dinner as few people had said they were lovely. omg would highly recommend it was delicious we as a couple are quite fussy, it’s the roast potatoes for me and wow they were perfect, we went for the beef roast dinner and 100% be back again! The only thing I could criticise is were we sat it was a bit cold so had to sit with our jackets on whilst eating. But still wouldn’t put me off from booking again.”

“We just had a takeaway from here and it was absolutely delish. Particularly recommend the Peshwari naan and the lansuni lamb (had a nice kick). I had the Bhutwa chicken and was also delicious. Good portions and the meat was beautifully cooked. The seasoning really made the food stand out, really well blended and chosen spices. We will definitely be ordering again.”

“Such a nice chill vibe but not uncomfortable quiet! Food was delish and very reasonable price! Ended up ordering a lot even though I was supposed to be a light snack! Get ready for a cosy autumnal afternoon! Lentil soup was £4! No overpowering flavours just wholesome! I would have personally enjoyed some more seasoning with the Hummus maybe sort of molasses drizzle to give it an uplevel! But was still nice! £5 and come with home made pitta breads! The mixed shish wrap £10 comes with chips! Very flavourful and filling! Tacos were really nice! Good flavour!”

“This was me and my sisters first time visiting Liverpool and Byron. The atmosphere and the food was really great. Our server Sienna was so lovely and extremely thorough with our allergies. “As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile and told to sit wherever we fancied. Straight away, the atmosphere felt dead friendly ☺️ Food: The food was bang on. Everything tasted fresh, and the chips? Honestly, the best I’ve had in ages – proper crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Oh, and the peas – proper traditional peas, like they used to be, made with fresh marrowfat. Portions were spot on, and it’s great value for money. I loved the specials like chicken curry and hot pot. They’ve even got calories on the menu, which stood out for me straight away. Service: The service was cracking, especially since it was just one person running the show. She kept everyone updated, saying stuff like, “We’re just waiting on chips for 10 minutes,” and she even apologised for the wait (not that we minded, fresh food is worth it!). Nothing was too much trouble – I even heard someone come in with a “weird” order, and she just sorted it, no stress. She made sure we were happy with our food, which you don’t always get these days. Atmosphere: This is what made it for us. Me and the husband both said it felt proper homely. Even with kids messing about, she handled it brilliantly, explaining how they should behave so no one else got disturbed. When it quietened down, she had a little chat with us, and she was so warm and lovely – made us feel right at home. Cleanliness: The place was spotless. She was constantly wiping tables and washing her hands before touching food. She even explained what she was doing and asked us to give her a minute – proper good communication. Overall: Alison’s is a proper hidden gem. It’s cozy, the food’s amazing, and the sense of community is something special. Honestly, it’s well worth a visit – you won’t regret it. Oh, and the tea? Comes in a proper mug – just like at home.”

“I would recommend booking before arriving for a Sunday roast as this place was absolutely buzzing! The soup of the day was melt in your mouth delicious and flavoured perfectly! We tried the chicken, pork and beef roasts. They were equally amazing. I preferred the chicken as it came with crispy skin. The pork came with wonderful crackling if that's your bag. You cannot leave here without having pudding. The brownie, cheesecake and toffee pudding were out of this world. The kitchen is on point with timing and the wait staff did them proud despite how busy it was. Lovely, warm, welcoming and worth a visit for sure. You won't regret it!”

“What a lovely little quirky gem of a pub. Everything inside has been up-cycled re-cycled and is fascinating. Some comfy seating, some chairs are ex old style cinema and old airplanes seat. The bar staff are so friendly Ben is great! And it's dog friendly. Just a stone throw away from the beach.”

“If only all pizzarias were as good as this. I rarely have pizzas as I feel they are poor value but the one I had here was amazing. Service was friendly and prompt. The base was the best I have ever had and the topping was sumptious. The ingredients were so fresh and good quality I ate it all - I usually take half home because I had got bored with it. Not from this place. Definately going back”

“Excellent food and service here. My wife is coeliac and the staff went above and beyond to ensure the food was gluten free, double checking the ingredients with her. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely return the next time we're in Chester”
