On my very first visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Hassan, the first Pakistani staff member I’ve seen here. From the very beginning, Hassan stood out for his exceptional professionalism, friendly manner, and genuine care in serving customers. One moment that truly impressed me was when I playfully offered him some extra money for his pocket in exchange for free drinks. Without hesitation, he politely declined, saying, “I can’t cheat my boss.” This level of honesty and loyalty is rare and deserves recognition. Hassan consistently treats me with kindness, respect, and warmth — making me feel more like a valued friend than just a guest. I highly recommend all European visitors to include White Swan in their plans, and I look forward to returning in September. Whenever you visit London, make sure to stop by White Swan — it’s worth it!”

He served us drinks with a smile on his face, asked how our day was and seemed interested in our lives. “This hotel is really good, spacious and clean rooms, the food is good here dining and breakfast. I also want to thank Ethan who is one of the staff members who works there he made it felt like i was staying at a 4-5 star hotel with the level of service he was providing to me he went over and beyond and i hope the owner of the hotel sees this review and reward him for his amazing work. The only umfortunate thing i have to say about this is that i probably won't be back as i was attending a work course and live far away but if i did have 2 come back in the future however i would love to stay here again. Thank you Hamlet Larkfield for my stay.”

“This review is for the private rooms. It's a clean, quiet room for an unbeatable price in London. I've stayed here twice on extended layovers in the UK, once in August 2024 and once in June 2025. The sheets and the bed are clean, and I appreciate that they have a full kitchen and ironing services. Respectfully, when looking for budget stays in London you do need to adjust your expectations. I've stayed in a number of budget hotels over the years and this is the only one that didn't have carpet mites or a mildew-y smell. London really is one of those places where it's worth it to upgrade your housing. This isn't a 5* experience by any means, just a safe and clean place to hang your hat when you're rarely going to be in the room anyways. I will say that this time the bathrooms were nowhere near as clean as last time. It was worth it to wait until late morning and use the facilities right after the cleaners. It seemed to me that there was a lot more long term residents there, mostly men, so it didn't have the same vibes as last time. I think it's probably a commentary on the global economic situation than anything else. The staff have always been pleasant, by UK service standards. :) Keep in mind their policies regarding cash that are provided when booking to avoid any phaff.”

“Very helpful staff. It's very nice tasting food. Had the bacon cheese burger and the kids fish bites. Didn't have to wait too long for food or have to wait too long between the main meal and desert. Could do with a menu for younger kids who have less appetite. The breakfast the next morning was lovely. Only downfall to the breakfast was the eggs but that can't be helped when they are in the heated trays.”

“After reading the reviews of the Swan I was in two minds about trying it, but I'm glad I did, staying opposite in the Premier inn and fancied a chinese. Best ribs I've had for years, so tender and tasty, we had quite a big order and to be fair all of it was good, good sized portions and the price was cheaper than at home in London, will definitely be back if in the area just for the ribs.”

Thank you to the Manager ( Andrew). He was sweet and gave us some tips about other things to do while traveling. We really enjoyed there desserts. One is mine... waffles with chocolate & vanilla ice cream, shaved chocolate, and strawberries. The other one is my Husband's ... Banoffee waffles... waffles, banana, toffee/caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream.”
