Lulu was brilliant, really knowledgeable about no.7 products and very kind and patient with my (indecisive) daughter. Thank you Lulu... we had a perfect customer experience today.”

“Always clean and well designed. Friendly staff when you can find one. I have given up on self scan and scan your self. I seem to get picked for check or red light of doom. Much prefer normal tills with humans. I can't be standing there waiting for somebody to fix the machines. Plus why are they so loud I'm not death.”

“The building is showing some signs of needing conservation but it is a pleasing environment in the bar/restaurant. The bedrooms are well laid out with modern decoration with impressive en-suites. The food is very good with a varied menu and good wine list.”

“Dunston Hall Hotel is a grade 2 listed manor house which is stunning inside and out. Myself and my mum stayed here for business and leisure had a lovely girly weekend and used all the spa and health club facilities. Our massages and facials were top notch and the staff at the spa are very lovely people. We had a meal in the Garden Terrace both nights. The food took a while to come out but I do not mind waiting as I know what pressure is put on the hospitality staff. Couldn't fault the food. It was very tasty and good portion size. I have to mention our waiter Will. Will looked after us and gave us regular updates on the food times. He was very polite, pleasure to talk to and a very hard worker. I hope he gets the acknowledgement he deserves. I've been in your shoes and know how customers treat us. Me and mum wanted to tip you but I knew all tips go to everyone and we wanted to you to have it. So instead I hope this message reaches you. Thank you for making our evenings, that little bit more special. The only downfall of this hotel is that its children friendly. When you look at this building you wouldn't think children are allowed here because this is a Elizabethan manor house & golf club. In my opinion this automatically gives off a regal and dignified atmosphere. Some families had well behaved children and they were no problems. However when in the restaurant and in the health club, there were kids screaming, miss behaving and the parents nor staff were doing anything about this. I don't mind it being a child friendly hotel, but there needs to be some respect for the people that want a relaxing weekend. Other than this, me and my mum had a lovely weekend stay.”

“A 2 night stay with my wife for a weekend away. We had chosen a suite which is located away from the main hotel building. This offers a spacious accomodation comprising a large lounge area with mini fridge, a separate bedroom and a bathroom. This is the second time we had stayed at this particular Hotel in Norwich. The staff are attentive, professional but remain friendly and approacable. Breakfast is good, although I did not dine at the Hotel, booking would be recommended. The Hotel itself is approx 2 miles from Norwich centre so a walkable distance with the train station much closer, with suitcases it would only be a short taxi ride. Oaklands is certainly my preferred Hotel when staying in Norwich”

“First time staying over in Norwich - we've visited before but only while staying in Norfolk. We tried this hotel based on reviews and Booking.com It is in a nice part of town - St Giles - some distance from Cathedral (15 mins), Castle (10 mins) and Station (about 15 mins). But it is a nice neighbourhood with good restaurants. Quite a bit of Norwich is roughish, rogueish, riffish and raffish sadly, as I have found in a lot of English towns. It is a variable feast, but there's plenty to see and do especially if you are young and enjoy smoking pot. The hotel is very grand (common parts) as it was I think an insurance company HQ back in the day. The rooms are OK - large, but bathrooms are rather dated, and towels not fluffy enough for me. The staff are very friendly and helpful indeed. The bar is well-stocked and run. The common parts living room was nice too The breakfast was really nicely done. Overall, it is pricier than some places, but it has charm, character, is welcoming and does much well. I would go back. Some charming photos to help you decide whether to go to Norwich or Not(wich).”

“I was a single traveler from Alabama who stayed at this hotel for 13 nights while visiting friends in the area. The room was warm, clean and practical. The single bed with ensuite included everything I needed, including a comfy single bed with 2 pillows and a fluffy duvet, USB ports, and kettle with a generous selection of teas and coffee. The room came with hand soap and hand lotion (both in a pump), and the shower was equipped with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The armoire in the room is worth mentioning, as it was highly functional with different compartments where you can arrange your clothing and shoes in the shelves provided on once side of the closet. On the other side, I was able to place a small clothes hamper under my hanging clothes (hangars are provided) within the armoire. I appreciated having a place to tidily store my things! I was also able to easily adjust the radiator in the room (there is another in the bathroom). It works great and the room gets warm very quickly when needed. There was a little noise at night from the street outside, but I slept well every night and didn’t need to use my earplugs. On to the hotel service… I can't commend Emma and the team enough. All members of staff were courteous, helpful and extremely polite. I appreciate the attention to detail. For example, I like milk with my coffee, so housekeeping noticed and provided me with ample milk pods and coffee sachets each time they serviced the room- without me having to ask. Each time I had a question about the area or needed something (like a hairdryer, which they happily provided), I was greeted with warmth and enthusiastic service. On this trip to the UK, I was looking for a budget hotel so I could stay a bit longer and still enjoy the basic amenities that hotels provide. What I received was much more that that- a good room with those amenities, yes, but also 5-star service that made me feel I was coming “home” each night, being greeted like family every time I returned. Emma and team, thank you for a wonderful experience. I heartily recommend the Central Hotel Norwich.”

“What a beautiful charming house in the Norfolk countryside. We loved it so much it took us forever to get out the door in the mornings. The kitchen is incredible. 3 sinks, 2 dishwashers, huge fridge, 2 ovens. A real entertaining kitchen. The bedrooms and bathroom were just as excellent.”

On more than one occasion now this pharmacy has been able to fill a prescription for me the same day after the other one nearby repeatedly said they couldn't get any stock from anywhere, will be making this our go-to pharmacy from now on as is much more reliable and the staff seem very genuinely keen to help”
