“First time visiting this establishment, whilst on the higher side cost wise, the food was faultless. The steak was cooked exactly as requested, the staff were pleasant and attentive, so much so we went back for lunch the next day. The "wedge" is an interesting answer to the question "How do you sell people 1/8th of an iceberg lettuce" , and to be honest, it's genius. The onion loaf was, fantastic, and the vegetable medly certainly played exactly the right tune on the taste buds. If up this way again, this will be the first choice.”

“Shout out to Amy C. She always makes our experience at zizzi very pleasant and comfortable. She keeps checking if we need anything, and she's fast. When I'm coming into the restaurant I scan the place looking for her hoping she's there coz she's very welcoming and treats everyone equally. I'm saying that because I have a bad experience with another old lady at this restaurant, and when I see her I leave immediately because she is discriminating and I had a few bad experiences with her. Apart from that, your food is amazing and we tried many places but we always regret cheating on zizzi. My favourite is pinoli pizza and fonduta. Your desserts are also brilliant. Best of luck.”

“Great atmosphere in an old building in the heart of Sheffield. Huge selection of beers and ciders. We were there on a quiet Monday evening but they still put on live music - a three-piece jazz/blues band. Highly recommend if you're in the city centre and fancy tasting some unusual brews.”

“Went in on a Friday night, nobody in, no takeaways cooking and was very worried but had read the good reviews on google. Glad I went in as the takeaway was the best I have had in years. Fresh and tasty food that doesn’t taste laden with MSG! Will definitely be returning!!”

We always start with the camembert, and honestly, it’s unbeatable. For mains, we can’t resist the chicken burger. It’s consistently amazing. You can tell the kitchen really cares about quality. The service is always outstanding too. The staff are so friendly, attentive, and genuinely make you feel welcome. Add in the gorgeous atmosphere and it’s just the perfect place to relax and enjoy great food.”

“I visited here over the weekend, was extremely busy, and waited approximately 20 mins. It was 100% worth it, staff were very friendly, greeted with a warm smile upon entrance. Food was exceptional and the waiting staff were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone that's not been in a while. Food was 10/10.”

Seated quickly food was hot and fresh and service was great, it was very quiet which was a surprise and at first it looked like they only had one lovely member of staff working and she looked swamped bless her but she did an amazing job! By the time it was time to get the bill our table had been taken over by another staff member and I didn't get her name unfortunately, food was expensive but the quality was great and for a once in a while treat cant really complain!”

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. ​The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. ​The food quality truly blew me away. “This was a recommendation from a friend and it was worth the hour and a half drive! The story I was told was that the chef was a Michelin star chef working in London, who was sick of the rat race and relocated to Matlock in Derbyshire. My partner and I opted for the 7 course taster menu and what a sensation that was. EVERY dish was an explosion in the mouth of complimentary flavours and textures. With the appetisers, the sour dough bread and the mous bouches , it turned out to be almost 10 courses. Just look at the photos! Unbelievable! The location is beautiful too. The outside terrace overlooks the river and the sounds of the water creates at truly romantic setting. The staff were excellent too and I’m surprised that Stones doesn’t already have a Michelin star! Out of this world and I would recommend everyone that likes food to try it! @ £80 per person, it is an absolute bargain. For food like this you would pay double that in London!”

“There is now a lovely area to sit before your meal where you can enjoy a tasty glass of wine, cocktail or beer. The menu has many small plates to choose from. We had calamari, sardines and pumpkin tortellini. Before trying their larger plates of orechiette pasta and the chicken terrine. Everything had great flavour and served quickly. Will definitely be back again to try even more of the menu!!”

“Delicious food and “just right” service, what more could you ask for? We didn’t need to book (arrived 5:30 Sunday evening) but even on a soggy autumn Sunday it was getting popular before 6:30, so on other days like Friday or Saturday you might want to book.”

“Aww wow! Go here! We go to bawtry most Sundays, So we decided to explore the surrounding villages, this place was amazing. We rocked up after serving time, and the chef ( lovely lovely guy) came out and showed us the menus, and was more than happy to cook for us. The food was outstanding!
