“Kajiya Teppanyaki is more than just a meal—it’s a spectacular culinary performance that leaves you in awe! Our recent visit as a family of seven to celebrate a 40th birthday was nothing short of extraordinary. What made this experience truly special was how personal and intimate it felt. You are the only table in this small, cozy restaurant, creating an exclusive atmosphere that lets you fully immerse yourself in the artistry of teppanyaki. From the moment we were seated around the sizzling grill, it was clear that this wasn’t just dining—it was an experience tailored just for us. The chef was a true master of his craft, blending precision, artistry, and a touch of humor to create an engaging and unforgettable performance. Every flick of his spatula and sizzle on the grill showcased his incredible skill, and he made sure to involve everyone at the table, creating an atmosphere of laughter and excitement. The food was absolutely divine. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with vibrant flavors that delighted the palate. From the tender, juicy meats to the fresh, perfectly seasoned vegetables, every bite was a testament to the quality and care put into the preparation. The chef even added personal touches, like customizing the level of seasoning and heat to match each guest’s preferences. The staff was attentive and welcoming, ensuring that the celebration felt special. They even brought out a beautifully presented dessert to honor the birthday milestone, complete with a heartfelt cheer from everyone around. Kajiya Teppanyaki provided not just a meal but a memory we’ll cherish forever. It’s the perfect spot for family gatherings, celebrations, or anyone looking for a unique and interactive dining experience. Highly recommended!”
“What an absolute gem of a place this is. Went for my partner's birthday and was delighted by the food on offer, everything explained clearly to us and the whole place was run with so much love and attention to detail. Will definitely be making a return visit!”
“Fantastic breakfast here we come every Sunday with the kids before shopping. Kelsie and the girls are always welcoming and can't do enough to make sure all your needs are met”
“Wow. They just get better and better. Tried a new one tonight, Chicken Lahori Masala. Packed with chicken that melts in the mouth, followed up by a sauce that has a bit of a kick, but not overpowering. Then the sweetness of the caramelised onions and condensed milk comes through. Definitely a new favourite of mine. Kids had their usual favourite of chicken korma. Again, packed with tender chicken and creamy sauce. Absolutely the best takeaway around.”
“The restaurant was recommended by a friend and we wanted to see for ourselves if it really deserves a 5 star review. I can definitely say that it trellis deserves more than that: from the cosy atmosphere to delicious food and excellent care from the staff, a very delightful evening was at hand.”
“Went for Sunday lunch, but I chose from an extensive menu my partner had scampy. I had Scilian chicken, both were delicious and nicely presented at a very reasonable cost. Nice environment and friendly helpful staff. Can definitely recommend”
“I went there for Sunday lunch with my family. I’ll cut to the chase - book it and go, if there’s actually any space left. The value is unbelievable for the quality of food. This would cost at least double in London and at least 50% more in a neighbouring city. What comes out of that small kitchen is impressive. A deft touch, precise cooking and extremely well judged seasoning. Support this restaurant. If you live in Newark then you have to go. If you live within an hours drive you should absolutely go. If you’re driving up the A1, you need to pop in. I’ve been eating all over the world this year (and previous ones), and this gem was on my doorstep all along.”
“This is by far the best independent deli in Sheffield. The stock is wonderfully and thoughtfully thought out. I had a ciabatta sandwich and just asked the gentleman behind their kiosk to put in what he thought would work and boy did it! Also the espresso was perfect. It’s obviously run by someone who is passionate about Italy and it shows in the products and the passion which they are enthusiastically served. Sheffield is lucky to have La Coppola.”
“What a beautiful place Friendly and efficient Good honest food I will be back”
“Very very tasty bhajis. We ordered a big pile with chutneys for our wedding reception and everyone loved them. Great curries and wraps too and excellent for vegans.”
“A slice of Naples in Sheffield! Colorful place, welcoming staff and delicious pizza and starters. High quality ingredientes, customised recipes and high hydrated dough make Napoli Centro pizza the best I have ever eaten in UK (and even much better than many I tried in Italy). Well done!”
“Friendly and attentive staff, amazing tasting food and not hard to get to. Would highly recommend. We ordered: Starters - Tzakziki, Hummus (both come with traditional Iranian bread) & Dolmeh Mains - Chenjeh (with skin on fries to share) & Spring Chicken (with Zeresk Polo Rice to share) Recommend saving some of the dips from the starter to enjoy with your mains! We went just after Sheffield Wednesday finished their game (it is next to Hillsborough Stadium), but found no issue with transport as it is close to the tram stop. Overall, a great experience!”
“We had a wonderful dinner. We enjoyed the 10 course tasting menu an appreciated the hospitality of the staff and attention to detail of the food. Everything was excellent and would highly recommend. If I visit Sheffield again, I will definitely be back.”

“Blown Away by The Garrison, Wickersley! I honestly can't say enough good things about our recent meal at The Garrison, Wickersley. The whole experience was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The restaurant itself is incredibly cosy, and the entire team was just amazing and attentive. A huge shoutout to Joss, who was absolutely brilliant! Due to a last-minute business trip to Sheffield, we needed a table, and he went above and beyond to fit us in and was so helpful in explaining the menu. The food quality truly blew me away. Everything tasted superb, proving the dedication to using fantastic quality local produce. The presentation of every dish was top-notch—real eye candy! If you're looking for an unforgettable meal with incredible service and a warm atmosphere, you have to try The Garrison. We were absolutely delighted and we'll definitely be back soon! Thanks again ! Charlie”

“Best chip shop in the whole of Derbyshire, but went today, and the chips were nothing like what are normally. Don't mind the long wait to get perfect chips, don't know what happened today. Hope it's just a one off”
“Perfect place to eat after a walk in the Peak District! All 4 of us loved our meals with a super friendly team that also welcomed our dog Wilson so he didn’t have to stay in the car! Will definitely be returning! Thank you!”

“Kefi hosted my baby shower and it was absolutely stunning. The charcuterie boards were luxurious and beautifully presented, the cakes were delicious and home made (the brownie is just to die for), the soft warm focaccia bread complimented the grazing table…. It was just all around a beautiful experience and you could tell Kefi had put in an overwhelming amount of effort. The staff ensured everyone had a warm or cold drink, and the afternoon flowed so elegantly as we were looked after so well. One thing that stood out was their catering to dietary requirements, we had celiac, vegan, and pregnant attendees. The owner beautifully segregated all of the boards to suit each diet and labelled everything up whilst still ensuring the presentation was of a high standard! I genuinely recommend hiring Kefi to host your special events as the building is so beautiful and gives such cosy vibes.”
“Lovely cosy sushi restaurant. We dropped in early doors and shared the omakase for 2. It was a great selection of food and served by a knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Would highly recommend a visit. Wish we lived closer to visit again.”
“A lovely little cafe, with amazing food and good coffee! Would definitely recommend... and I'm definitely coming back!”
“Regular visitor to Hay Barn and as always the food, service and atmosphere was excellent. All food freshly cooked and served was delicious. During busy periods might be a wait for a table but the pager system works well. The special event evenings are always worth attending. Employees are always welcoming even when the place is extremely busy.”
“Popped in here trying to find someone to eat quickly, didn’t disappoint / amazing service from start to finish and amazing friendly staff. Having a Laugh and a joke which made the atmosphere very nice and welcoming. Food was well worth the money and we will be back again.”
“Oh, La Trattoria Da Vincenzo! — I must record my impressions before the last taste fades and the memory settles too gently into nostalgia, for never have I encountered a little corner of Italy so full of life and warmth, even amidst the steady drizzle of an English evening. From the instant I crossed its modest threshold, I felt as though I had stumbled into someone’s home — not a restaurant, but a gathering of dear friends who simply happened to be excellent cooks. The light fell softly through the glass, warm and golden, casting a cheerful glow over the tables, each adorned with just enough elegance to suggest refinement, yet never the stiffness that often mars such places.”
“This was a recommendation from a friend and it was worth the hour and a half drive! The story I was told was that the chef was a Michelin star chef working in London, who was sick of the rat race and relocated to Matlock in Derbyshire. My partner and I opted for the 7 course taster menu and what a sensation that was. EVERY dish was an explosion in the mouth of complimentary flavours and textures. With the appetisers, the sour dough bread and the mous bouches , it turned out to be almost 10 courses. Just look at the photos! Unbelievable! The location is beautiful too. The outside terrace overlooks the river and the sounds of the water creates at truly romantic setting. The staff were excellent too and I’m surprised that Stones doesn’t already have a Michelin star! Out of this world and I would recommend everyone that likes food to try it! @ £80 per person, it is an absolute bargain. For food like this you would pay double that in London!”
