βFood was amazing! I was so shocked at how quiet it was... We did go on a Tuesday evening so wasn't expecting it to be rammed. Food came very quickly and was delicious! Big portions too!β
βCalled in for food and drinks on Saturday afternoon with plenty of parking we accessed via a ramp and footbridge bridge over to the pub where we received a friendly welcome with choice of seating from bar area or dining area, dog friendly if you're walking past with your furry friend. We enjoyed a tasty vegan burger with hand made chips and also a great beef bourguignon, room for pudding was filled with a Bakewell tart with ice cream and a real treat of a honey and whiskey panna cotta. Both were well presented and another empty plate was left, definitely will be calling again to watch the canal boats and walkers passing byβ
βExcellent pub on the banks of the canal with moorings. Large beer garden with plenty of tables some under cover. Pub with conservatory and room overlooking the canal. Good bar area and Timothy Taylorβs Landlord on draught and very well kept served in a real jug not a straight glass. Food smelt good and menu looked good also. Will be back for dinner one evening.β
βWhat a fabulous pub. Great, friendly service and great beer. Itβs such a welcoming pub and thereβs a buzz around the place. The selection of craft beers is extensive and theyβre all brilliant. We also order the tikka pie which was great. Possibly my top pub in Nantwich.β
βBrilliant pub with amazing service and very reasonable prices! Staff are extremely friendly and chatty, Josh being a great guy who takes pride in the pub. We've been a number of times now and always have fun. They often have a DJ at the weekends, and Thursday night is their pub quiz. The prices are very reasonable, had a double hendrix and slimline with a large white wine for around Β£15. We haven't tried the food yet but are planning to do so, as we've seen others have it, and it looks good. Prices are again very reasonable. Overall, it's a great pub that's well worth a visit!β
βTen of us went for dinner at the Farmers Arms last night. Both the service and food were absolutely fantastic!! I had sweet chilli chicken sizzler, with wraps, dips and rice and it was fabulous! I was trying to be good and resist the desserts, but when I saw the pavlova, I couldn't resist! Crispy delicious meringue flavoured with vanilla, covered with lovely soft Chantilly cream and thenΒ fruit and sauce on top. I think this is the best dessert I have had in some time. It was marvellous!!β
βVery friendly and welcoming staff. Great clean venue with cosy atmosphere. Food is absolutely amazing no matter what you order. Well presented and served using good catering techniques. Always freshly prepared and quick service. My best place to eat in Stone and beyond. Thank you MOJO's...see u next time.β
βHere for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.β
βWe hired the boat "Molly May" through Waterways Holidays from Norbury Wharf.. We arrived and we met by friendly approachable staff. The Boat was ready to go and was spotless.. We loaded up and Phil showed us all we needed to know, he was very thorough and left us full of confidence for the week ahead. On return we were helped into the boat yard and had to admit to a lost windlass and 2 broken glasses!! The staff were very good about it and didn't charge us and even offered 5% off our next to holiday with them! The cafe and chandlery were also excellent.. Many thanks for a great wk of off grid solitude!!β
βThis is my favourite pub in Eccleshall. Beer is by far the best, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff are friendly. What more could you want?β
βAbsolute beautiful pizza. Nice and hot. Got my order spot on. Would definitely go order again. 2/1/2021 - You can't go wrong with this place. Veg Supreme - perfect... 17/01/2021- Food was spot on again, super fast delivery, I can't complain! It's definitely become one of my favourite regulars for pizza!β
βHad our first takeaway from Wok Stop and enjoyed the food. We had two lots of noodles with chicken and one with prawns and with a variety of extras. The food was delivered a tad earlier than was expected but rather earlier than later! The food was delicious, piping hot with fresh ingredients.β
βSurely the best fish and chips in town and probably one of the best in UK. Food and service ks second to none. Staff is always smiling and available to help. The place is super clean and well organisedβ
βAmazing food amazing people. What more could you ask for. Prices are fair too.β
βAmazing service. With very picky eaters they were more than happy to change the dishes to cater to our needs. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Thank you.β
βWent today 6/7:2025 . Food was delicious and very good value for money . There were 7 in our party 4 adults a teen & 2 toddlers . Plenty of choice for the kids and the food was a good portion for them . Excellent service and the girl who served us was lovely. Will definitely be returning soon..β
βAt last! A proper pub with proper beer, where you can have a proper conversation without intrusive TV screens and not given over to diners rather than drinkers. The Shrewsbury Arms has been completely and tastefully redecorated, with William Morris pattern wallpapers throughout. We (two couples) went on a Wednesday evening where a generous selection of cheese, pate and salami + biscuits was available - all free! There were plenty of customers there, although like many 'wet' pubs I can imagine it could be pretty quiet at times. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back. PS: Did I mention that the beer was excellent? I can recommend Pig On The Wall... Edit: Typoβ
βVisited here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is very small so we only booked for a 4 hour session, worrying we might get bored. However, the time absolutely flew by and we wished we had longer! We had the mill wheel back massage, which was excellent. We also booked in for afternoon tea, which was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.β
βAmazing food and friendly service, not badly priced but the atmosphere could be improved slightly. It's very well decorated and has a nice vibe but the lighting is really bright, it could feel a lot cosier if it was a little softer with the lights. A great place to eat though.β
βI have been going to Montyβs Fish and Chip Shop in Leek Market Square for over 15 years, and I can say with complete sincerity that it is one of the best fish and chip shops in the world. From the very first time I discovered Montyβs, I knew it was something special. The quality of the fish and chips is consistently exceptionalβthe fish is always unbelievably fresh, encased in perfectly crisp, golden batter that is never greasy. The chips are spot on every time: fluffy inside, just the right amount of crunch outside. Over the years, Iβve brought countless family members, friends, and even my students here. Every single person has agreed: these are the best fish and chips theyβve ever tasted. What makes Montyβs truly stand out is not just the food, but the genuine care and passion of the owner, Keith, who takes enormous pride in his restaurant. Whether youβre sitting down for a proper meal or grabbing a takeaway, youβre treated with warmth and excellent service. Iβve sampled fish and chips all over Englandβincluding many famous seaside spotsβbut nothing comes close to Montyβs. In my opinion, it is perfection in every way. If you try it yourself, I am certain you will not disagree. This place is a true gem, and I feel lucky to have enjoyed it for so many years. Highly recommended.β
βThe best chippy outside Scarborough for me ! I travel all the way from alderley edge to leek just to get fish and chips. Curry and peas are gorgeous as well. Insane value, used to get the 5 quid haddock deal but sadly no longer as prices have gone up but still reasonable compared to other rip off chippys trying to charge a tenner for cod. Love this place !β
βThree of us went for food and to watch the line music. Nothing disappointed us. Friendly accommodating staff, great music, delicious, piping hot food. Two of us had steak & ale pie. Suet pastry topped bowl, loads of tasty meat and gravy. No need for an extra jug. One of us had their beef burger, so big it had to be dismantled! Lots of chips and fresh veg, we had 2 extra veg sides too. Nothing to complain about, just wholly recommend. Meals around Β£15 each. Sides about Β£3 each. Will certainly be going back for more!β
βLocated about 15 minutes walk from the town centre this is a modern premier Inn with Aircon and plenty of parking (payable) as there is extra parking underneath and behind it. Friendly helpful staff, well run restaurant for breakfast and evening meal if wanted, but also lots of restaurants within walking or short drive distance. Buxton is well located for visitors to the Peak district.β
βWe stopped here for lunch on a whim - really glad we did so as it is a gem. Good service and atmosphere, clean and just a really nice place to stop at. The icing on the cake for me was the fact the menu had many gluten free choices, one of which was a pie. Such a rare treat to find gf pie on a menu anywhere. It was delicious. My husband had the ordinary pie and was likewise impressed. Unfortunately for us we found this Inn on our last day in the area, so we weren't able to return, but I'd willingly recommend it to others.β
βWhat a gem! I don't know if I got lucky with room 10 or just due to booking early, but all I can say is wow! Very spacious, double aspect twin room. The views of the lake were breath taking and perfecr for people watching. Large bathroom with bath and shower which was a lovely suprise, all looked to have been freshly decorated. The breakfaat was delicious, with a large choice of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries and full english on offer. Staff were very pleasant, private carpark was very handy aa parking would have been difficult in Buxton itself. Hotel location waa ideal, lovely walk through the park to the shops, cafes, resturants and opera house. Or walking the opposite direction to pooles cavern and national park for a day out walking. Great value for money and will definitley be returningβ
βSpent 2 days in Buxton and we were lucky to have chosen this restaurant for one of our dinnersβ
βFriendly staff, good sized free car park. Well stocked shelves. A good vegan choice here too. One way system in place for safety.β
βWe booked a table for 4, for a celebratory meal for our daughter who'd smashed her GCSE's. It was a pleasant environment to be in, the staff were friendly and professional. The main courses were very good, just one little criticism we ordered 2 Lasagne's and found it to be a little too salty, but we don't use salt much anyway. The other 2 mains were fab. Well, what can I say about the desert they were amazing and generous portions, you couldn't fault them. We will definitely go back there. Hats off to them.β
βStopped by after visiting RAF Cosford with my 2 kids. Lady that served us was so friendly and polite. Food was good and amazing value for money. 3 meals, 3 drink, 5 slices of bread and a battered sausage, Β£32. Great quality too. Thanks againβ
βHad a brilliant time at RnB brunch event lastnight. Atmosphere was fantastic, music, food, cocktails and service. Can't fault a thing! Thank you so much!β
