βAlways used this cattery for our 2 moggies, nothing is too much trouble for the owner & drop off/ pick up times are very flexible, the boarding prices are also very reasonable to. Our cats are always well looked after there & always look well when they have been on their hols lol!β
βAn old convent building retaining much of the original character near the center of Leek. Run by Emma and Nick a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast was delicious and service spot on. Highly recommended and we'll return to the Peak Weavers some time soonβ
βA beautiful place to temporarily "home" your dog. He/she will be well looked after, loved and cared for as my best friend was. In other words totally pampered. You will have nothing to worry or fret about while you are parted from your friend. It is a professionally run business run by normal people who care. I'm already looking forward to booking my furry friend in for next year.β
βWe stayed here on our family holiday and the location is absolutely stunning with plenty of beautiful countryside to explore. The site has a nice small family swimming pool operating a booking system for all the apartments on site which allows you 1-2 hours use each day. There is also a sports court that can be used for various activities and a toddlers play area both of which also need to be booked hourly. The apartment we stayed in was for up to 10 people and had plenty of room including a nice sized lounge, dining room and a snug that the kids enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked with all the usual refinements you might need during your stay including a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and two full size ovens. The property has some nice quirks which always makes for an interesting stay. If we are ever back in the area I would gladly stay again.β
βThe accomodation was excellent. We had a converted outbuilding to ourselves with a choice of bedrooms, a small kitchen, lounge and conservatory. A friendly welcome from Eileen together with a couple of generous slices of cake was a perfect start to the stay at the farm. There was plenty of toiletries, tea, coffee, milk etc and the kitchen was well appointed with immaculate and modern appliances. The owners have got a Labrador puppy named Harper who was absolutely adorable. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return to this idyllic and peaceful location with stunning views of the countryside. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. We ended up having a curry in a restaurant called "New royal balti" in Audley which was superb. Being non licensed we took a bottle of wine there from the Tesco store a few doors away.β
βOur friends held their Wedding here and it was lovely. The staff were excellent and the food was awesome. we were lucky to have one of the hottest days of the year, so spent most time in the Garden which was also beautiful. Great day and what a fantastic wedding cake!β
βThis delightful hotel set in stunning countryside provide lovely comfortable rooms. The whole atmosphere of the place is peaceful and "countryfied" well suited to its rural setting. The restaurant has a goiod choice of food and both our choices were delicious and good value for money. Great real ale too served in the cosy bar area. First class.β
βWe took the children to Alton Towers this half term and we wanted to stay in a nice place for the night. I am telling you it doesnβt disappoint ! The rooms, the food the staff is 5 stars! A gem of the area! Love love loveβ
βFabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.β
βGreat place to stop with the caravan just round the corner from the theme park shower and toilet block was clean washing up facilities great, we parked on the grass and tou need plenty level blocks etc to get set up but we had a lovely spot , staff very friendly and easy to deal with, kids loved the park !lovely field up the top for dog walkingβ
βEnjoyed a lovely meal with my husband and two friends. Great choices available on the menu, tasty food and excellent friendly service. Our first visit and we'll definitely be back. NB The upcoming festive menu looks great.β
βOnly went for Xmas lunch in the Cellar Restaurant but the food and service were excellent. The restaurant itself was really nice, well laid out and great decor with two log fires roaring away. It was busy when we went but didn't have to wait long at all for the meal.β
βA beautiful little Place right in the heart of Leek. Easy booking and check in process. We was given codes for entry/access to our accommodation when tea rooms are closed. Plenty of parking locally, reasonably cheap and free after 15.30 on Saturday and free all day Sunday. We found our room very clean and was provided everything for a lovely stay. Bed was comfortable, towels good quality and complimentary showering miniatures. Only slight issue was the TV signal wasn't great, channels not watchable but not a big issue. Staff were all helpful and welcoming in the cosy tea room. We ordered breakfast which was very nice and was pleasantly surprised when told it was in with the cost of the room as we was unaware, nice bonus. Overall we had a lovely pleasant stay and will definitely return. We have since found out they have dog friendly rooms so will be back with our little one.β
βWell established dog rescue & boarding centre I had used twice since 2014. I would highly recommend a visit if you looking to rehoming a companion for life... The staff are friendly and helpful too..!!β
βWe booked this as a stop gap after a wedding... and omg what an amazing choice it was... The staff was amazing and polite. The location and parking great. The room was fantastic and clean. Free complimentary breakfast in room. I can only say our stay was 100% lovelyβ
βWe recently visited while staying over at Alton Towers and didnt want to eat the mass produced food so went here as its quite local and had decent reviews. We were not disappointed with our choice either, what a fabulous little place! The pub part was busy, but service was quick and there was a nice range of local craft ales. The Thai food was fabulous, one of the best red curries I've had for a long time and the family were all pleased with their choices too. Definitely would recommended if your staying in the area, it's well worth a visit.β
βI just want to say a big thank you to Margaret the owner of Peakstones inn everything was great. The beds were so comfortable to sleep. I had the most amazing sleep in my kids wake up in the morning. First thing they said it was this beds are amazing hah the service was 100%. Food was amazing The stuff was great. It made you feel like you're back a home. Big thank you to everyone. We will love to come back and stay again. Thank you so much Margaret and your staff for being so kind and make us feel welcome Thank you so so much My kind of regards Cristina Moniz and from my twins thank you again xβ
βCame for a helicopter ride with Adventure 001. The location is not sign posted so we went to another farm first, but they share the same postcode. What an amazing hidden Gem. Staff at 001 were amazing, Nicole on the desk was so lovely and the flight team were brilliant. Thank you especially to Dave for putting our minds at ease before the flight as he knew we were terrified as never been off the ground before. Champagne after the flight was a lovely touch. I've seen reviews saying but no glass... you are told by the crew to ask at the cafe counter for glasses. It's not an experience I ever thought I'd have, but honestly even if you're scared of heights or flying or generally suffering from anxiety, this team will make you feel completely at ease. Many thanks to our pilot and the entire team at adventure 001 β€οΈβ
βIf you want an escape, a feel like home, mamaβs breakfast not commercialised one, a nice garden and quiet countryside this is a place for you! Bath/shower/toilets very clean and comfortable bed. I enjoyed my week stay and coming back for another. The host is a super human and she is very friendlyβ
βA quintessentially British and cosy B&B. Breakfast was superb and the pool a nice bonus.β
βMy cat was well looked after and I had updates with some photos when she had settled in. Communication was great. A lovely place for cats to stay based in lovely surroundings. Also I had got her in with very quite short notice so I was very thankful that they could help. I would highly recommend.β
βI would like to thank Craig & Nikki and a BIG thank you to Karen, for looking after Billy. We received videos & pictures every day of Billy. We were away on holiday, this was fantastic for us to know Billy was having a brilliant time & very safe with Karen. Billy will definitely be going back to Home2Home4Dogs (he would go back now if he had a choice) Thank you all for looking after him. See you very soon. All the very best to you all Steveβ
βIβve been taking my dog, Mr. T, to Leafields Retreat since he was a puppy in 2022, and I honestly couldnβt be happier with the care and service he receives every time. Iβm really (possibly overly) protective of my dog and couldnβt trust this daycare more, he wouldnβt be going anywhere else. The staff at Leafields are amazing with him, welcoming, and you can tell care for each and every dog. It gives me such peace of mind knowing that heβs not just being watched, but is genuinely being looked after and loved during his time there. The facilities are amazing including Barkbados which Mr T loves (image included). I trust them completely with Mr. T and feel safe having him board with them whilst we go away. Heβs always excited to go and drags me to the door. The facility itself is clean, safe, and full of space for him to play and socialise, which is a huge plus. Overall, I couldnβt recommend Leafields enough. Thanks to Leafields, Mr. T has had nothing but positive experiences and we could never take him anywhere else.β
βShort version: Fantastic B&B to which we'd happily return. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and personable and were very happy to help us out wherever they could; in my case, using the warm, dry, shed to replace a tubless bicycle tyre which had given up on the idea of retaining air inside it. The room was great and everything felt 'just so'. It's unashamedly at the more premium feeling end of the market and worth every penny of our stay there. Special mention must be made of the breakfasts which were spectacular. The continental breakfast was vast and included fruit juice, cereal, croissants, fresh fruit and toast. There is also the (additional charge) option of a Full English which is fabulous, although it may mean you don't eat very much until rather later in the day...there isn't a huge amount of plate showing between the food. Bonus points must also be awarded to the choice of putting peppercorns on the mushrooms. Pro tip 1: if you're after a cooked breakfast (and I'd urge you to at least try it once), it's a good idea to let someone know the night before so they can be prepared. Pro tip 2: Steve and Andy's local knowledge is excellent, both in terms of the eateries, but also the small roads to avoid so I'd recommend taking advantage. I did a Google check on one of them and it'd be ... interesting ... to take a car down there, especially as you're highly likely to meet a tractor coming the other way.β
βSharon always looks after our pigs really well. They get pampered. There are outdoor runs for when the weather is good, and decent sized indoor hutches for when the weather is poor. The rabbit runs/enclosures look massive. Here is the only place we have found that we really trust to care for our pets.β
βI recently had the pleasure of staying at the newly restored Ashleigh Buxton in Buxton, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. The self-catering hotel is set in a charming building in the heart of the historic town, and the attention to detail in the renovation is apparent from the moment you walk through the door. The interior dΓ©cor is a wonderful blend of modern amenities and traditional charm, with elegant furnishings and stylish accents throughout. The self-catering apartments are spacious, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere for guests. The staff at Ashleigh Buxton were friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and excellent service. The location of Ashleigh Buxton is also a major selling point. Situated in the heart of Buxton, the hotel is just a short walk from the town's shops, restaurants, and attractions, making it the perfect base for exploring everything that the area has to offer. Overall, I would highly recommend Ashleigh Buxton to anyone looking for a beautifully restored self-catering hotel in Buxton. The combination of stylish accommodation, excellent service, and convenient location make it the perfect choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in this charming town.β
βGreat simple booking process on the website, deposit on booking and final payment at the property which was nice. The wonderful host "Elaine" greeted us personally, even putting our names on our private entrance! Great local knowledge and web links for local restaurants. We will be back to enjoy the great bedroom, private bathroom, private entrance, ample parking and exquisite breakfast.β
Lodley Cattery is a world-class cat hotel situated in the peaceful surroundings of Hassall, Sandbach. This facility offers a safe and luxurious environment for cats while their owners are away. The core services include high-quality boarding, daily feeding, and personalized attention for every feline guest. The facilities are designed to be clean, content, and relaxing, catering to both active and nervous cats.
βRecently got married here and we had a perfect day. Carol was very involved with organising but was never in the way. Nothing we wanted was ever any trouble and the planning process was smooth thanks to the staff. Brett who runs the marquees and wedding side of the business was incredible and again very accommodating. Lovely family and great place. Would definitely recommend staying here for a holiday as well as a wedding as the house is incredible and has everything you could ever need.β
