βSpent a lovely week in the cow shed very large and comfy rooms well equipped brilliant placeβ
βWe stayed last night. Welcoming host who couldn't do enough to help. Lovely, comfortable bed, super clean and a fabulous breakfast with lots of choice. Really close to town, an easy walk. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend.β
βHighly recommended. Three cats came home well looked after and contented. Will definitely use the Laurels again.β
βFantastic house to rent. Sleeps 12 very comfortably, decorated lovely with added autumn decorations when we were there. Plenty of room with two living areas a big kitchen and great dining room for everyone to gather to eat. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked with equipment including air fryer and slow cooker. Lots of utensils that I usually find lacking when going away. Our only downside was the AGA not working as it would have made cooking for 11 so much easier, but we managed to sort with all other options available. Towels in all rooms, with extras for the hot tub. Host welcoming and helpful. Out in the country but close to lots of places to go out to during the day. Had a great stay and would recommend.β
βGreat value and location for our exhibition weekend. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.β
βThis place is a real gem, Vivian and Derek are very nice and helpfulβ
βWe're just back from picking up our dog, Barry, who's just had a lovely 8 day stay with Hanchurch Kennels. We can tell that he's had a great time and been well looked after. Justin and Kayleigh are great, you can tell that they're real dog lovers. Wonderfully secure premises. We'll be back again soon. βΊοΈβ
βWe were lucky enough to have one night in the top barn, 2 mums & 4 kids. We had a great time. The place was perfect & quirky. Loved having the outdoor stove & campfire area. Amused at some reviews saying no flush toilet- it's an eco friendly compost loo, it was immaculately clean too. The shower was perfectly adequate but you are in old farm buildings, you don't expect the ritz. Can't wait to come back next year. Only tiny negative & no fault of the site was the chickens from next door, they're a menace! Jumped on the outdoor table while we were eating and had no fear of us. We almost brought a dog but 100% glad we didn't because she'd have been going mad.β
βOur dog, Bonnie, loves going. She goes in in the morning very happily and then, when I pick her in the evening, she comes home satisfied after lots of exercise and socialising. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and seem to care very well for in the dogs in their care. They also made it their business to get to know my dog and her quirks when we first started going.β
βPerfect! First time using a kennels for my spaniel and we couldnβt have asked for more!β
βBrilliant " back to basics" place to stay.β
βBeautiful places amazing stay you'll doing great job be backβ
βTrish, Meg and the team were fantastic to work with during our house sale. Very knowledgable and very proactive through the whole process. We got the high end of our estimate and we couldnβt have been happier. Itβs just a shame that some other agents in the town are absolute charlatans and believe in breaking chains in order to gazump others. We were heartbroken by our breakdown of the chain but the team at Bridgfords were incredibly supportive through such a stressful time. Couldnβt praise them high enough!β
βMy cat has been going here a couple of times now. The place is lovely and the owner is very friendly. My cat seems really settled when she stays. I am always happy with the care that she gets and I always feel at ease when I leave her there. I would definitely Recommend it.β
βGreat hospitality and great people. Will definitely visit again whenever I plan for Alton Tower next time.β
βLovely cottage, very well equipped, clean and comfortable. There's a lovely, dog friendly pub in the village and it does fantastic food.β
βA great find for a weekend break. Fantastic food and great choice of drinks. Lovely sized rooms and a comfortable bed. Will definitely be returningβ
βStopped off for lunch. Had the most amazing food. My gammon was full of flavour and so tasty (the best I have had in years). The staff were very pleasant and helpful.β
βLovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delightful. Staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. I would visit here again.β
βCanβt comment on the rooms as we didnβt stay. We stopped at The Huntsman as we were passing through Cheadle on the way home on a Sunday and were not disappointed. We were greeted warmly by the staff and shown to the lodge with lovely festive decor. The Sunday lunch was a generous size and was delicious! Our children had a wood fired pizza which was equally as delicious. Sad we didnβt get to stay for dessert due to time constraints but would definitely recommend to anyone passing through.β
βStayed in the Robin Lodges for 4 nights, it was absolutely perfect for what we wanted. The Lodge was clean tidy and homely with all appliances and facilities all working well with an abundance of towels, shampoos, conditioners and shower gel. The surround sound speakers with Bluetooth on the wall was a nice touch. The local pub is a 20 min walk away and was really nice, we didn't eat but the food looked great. If you want a peaceful and chilled break this is the place for you. The onsite shop has all the necessaries and has a selection of local beers, wine and gin, DVDs and games. I would recommend you buy the WiFi package for Β£25 for 7 days if you are going to need/want internet, I know it sounds like a lot but you can connect 5 devices and there is literally no signal at all on the site and it worked really well. The only thing I would want to add is a light that you can have permanently on outside in the hot tub area (that's being very picky). All in all i would 100% recommend Quarry walk park.β
βA great meal and lovely service. Food was amazing and beers were great. Will be back and strongly recommended for a meal.β
βHere for a course for 2 nights just 2 miles away from here, so for me the location was excellent and also quiet for me to relax and study. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food in the pub is excellent, dare I say some of the best pub food I have ever had. Rooms are very comfortable and relaxing with some lovely extra touches. Excellent beer garden and choice of beers. Really impressed and would love to come back.β
βA large group of us had a wonderful meal at the Dog and Doublet, while staying at a local Airb&b. We were treated excellently, by friendly, helpful and very attentive staff. Our food was delicious and came quickly, high quality and worth the money. Definitely recommended.β
βVisited here for a spa day to celebrate my birthday. The spa is very small so we only booked for a 4 hour session, worrying we might get bored. However, the time absolutely flew by and we wished we had longer! We had the mill wheel back massage, which was excellent. We also booked in for afternoon tea, which was delicious and very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.β
βWe stopped here for lunch on a whim - really glad we did so as it is a gem. Good service and atmosphere, clean and just a really nice place to stop at. The icing on the cake for me was the fact the menu had many gluten free choices, one of which was a pie. Such a rare treat to find gf pie on a menu anywhere. It was delicious. My husband had the ordinary pie and was likewise impressed. Unfortunately for us we found this Inn on our last day in the area, so we weren't able to return, but I'd willingly recommend it to others.β
βOn a short break in Telford. We checked in inside the pub and was in our room (in a modern building adjacent to the pub) within a few minutes. The room was spacious, clean and up to date. A bath and shower was a welcome addition rather than just one or the other. Nice large tv, comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities were to hand. We had an evening meal in the pub (excellent value for money) followed by a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Highly recommended by us and would come again for sure.β
βI had my wedding here on the 8th August 2025. Abby and Howard did such a fantastic job. Our ceremony was in the cave at the follies, our reception was at the hotel. Our day was absolutely perfect and all our guests complimented all the work Abby and Howard did. The day ran smoothly and there was no stress or issues. The hotel was spotless and extremely clean. They moved our belongings to the bridal suite, and left us a lovely surprise when we retired to our room at night. The food was absolutely delicious. Food was delivered warm and in a timely manner. Abby even assisted me with setting everything up ready the day before my wedding. I cannot compliment Abby and Howard enough. Abby especially has been wonderful over the last 18 months of wedding planning. She has always been polite, responsive and so incredibly kind and welcoming to my family, guests and ourselves. Our wedding was a very long day and Abby and Howard were absolutely exceptional. We truly cannot thank you enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. I would strongly recommend couples to get married at the follies, it an intimate wedding is preferred. It was beautiful and the views were just breathtaking. We had additional guests for our wedding breakfast, with further guests for our evening reception. All at the Hawkstone Park Hotel. Abby was very accommodating to our needs. Abby, Howard, we will never forget your kindness and hard work. Thank you both so much. We will forever be grateful. Highly recommend!!! x x xβ
βBeautiful holiday park, staff great, clean and well spaced out between the lodges in the quieter part of the park, lodge was stunning, so spacious, everything you could need, fantastic, been a few times nowβ
βStayed for two nights for a wedding. The girls that run this place are so friendly and nothing is too much for them. One of our friends didnβt make it back to the hotel for breakfast and they offered to keep a plate for her in case she was hungry which was so sweet of them to offer. Our room was very big, it is the basics but can commend them on the how clean and spacious they were and one of the few hotels that give you more than one hanger which was very handy! Breakfast is great, little shorter and earlier than I would prefer but the food quality makes it worth it. The girls are so friendly and so helpful with any questions. We will be back to visit our friends and certainly be staying here again!β
