“Today we were celebrating my sister’s 70th Birthday and what better place to accommodate 19 of us? Some of us had been before but others hadn’t. The ones who’d been before for the Sunday buffet couldn’t wait to come again and the others thought it was ideal. From start to finish the staff were friendly & efficient, the food was fantastic, couldn’t fault it. A really enjoyable way to celebrate a 70th Birthday with family. We will be back.”

“What a beautiful pub, walked in, needed a table for 6, the lady sorted it out even though they had taken a booking for 20 people. Brilliant menu, food looked & tasted fabulous, service was quick. Waiters were so helpful & polite. Definitely would recommend for anyone to eat there.”

“Bought a Xmas hamper for a family of 10 and the standard was amazing. Turkey crown, ham, beef, sausages, bacon and pork pie…plenty of quality and will certainly be using Griffins again. Staff were very pleasant and gave a great experience from start to finish. Keep up the great work!”

“Deniz is a lovely place to come for food, this is the second time I have been and both times, the service, staff and atmosphere has always been incredible. Everything on the menu is delicious, the food comes out very prompt! The staff have always been extremely friendly, they couldn’t do anymore for you. I first came for my Mum’s birthday at Lunch and we had such a lovely time, we said we would recommend and come back. Tonight we came for my friends birthday and they couldn’t have done enough for us, they even sang him Happy Birthday in Turkish. Very kind people and we will bring more people back to this restaurant.”

“Beautiful country pub! We had a family dinner here, 15 of us across 4 generations, and it was excellent for all of us! The staff were attentive, despite it being a busy Sunday afternoon, with lots of other groups in too. What a beautiful, atmospheric place! “A superb, stylish, cosy modern ambiance with warm, friendly and inviting staff. My Mum and Dad kindly took me there for a birthday meal and the entire experience was delightful. The menu was so good I found it extremely difficult to make a choice but when I did, the food arrived in a timely fashion and was absolutely delicious. They clearly have an excellent chef/team of chefs because the standard of the food really was excellent. Each course was of an exceptional quality and was certainly able to justify the price range. The white chocolate cookie dough with caramelised bananas, ice cream and toffee dessert was, in both mine and my Mum’s opinion, one of the best desserts we’d tasted in a long time. Truly divine. The staff were the epitome of professionalism, attentive and friendly; willing to engage in a bit of banter as well as providing excellent service. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It’s well worth the money.”

“I had the 16-hour smoked ribs here, and what a delight! The meat was beautifully tender, with that deep smoky flavour that comes from real slow cooking. The char and bark held their own without overpowering the natural porkiness.”

“We came as a family group of 6 and a toddler for a 60th birthday party on Saturday evening. The food and service was excellent. I don’t know the name of the waitress but she was exceptional. It was very busy but she still managed to be efficient, calm and find time to listen and talk to us in addition to having to rearrange the tables for another party. Our booking was under the name of Shaw so please thank the amazing young lady.”

“I recently just moved to Crewe and have been meaning to try different fish and chips and came across this shop as it was closer of a walk than the ones in town. I think I came around their busiest time because there was a queue and they ran out of haddock. I ended up getting the large cod and chips as well as the mushy peas. The large cod was definitely a large (I could’ve opted for the mini portion) and they a generous amount of chips on the side as well. I enjoyed the fish and chips. They were both tasty considering I still had to walk back to my place to eat them. The fish itself was seasoned well even with just salt and vinegar. I surprisingly enjoyed the mushy peas (I asked for coleslaw initially which they do not carry). I can see why there’s a queue at night as it was delicious. I hope I get to try their haddock next time!”
