“I popped to Robins timber merchant yesterday to purchase a piece of board to put on my painting easel. The lads behind the counter could not have been more helpful. The wood I brought was much cheaper than I expected. Even better, one of the lads gave me an off-cut from a panel board. I would highly recommend Robins timber, and although my order was minimal, the lads still took time to help me. Thank you, Robins timber.”

“Great if you like an old style pub. It's for anyone that likes to check out a great selection of craft ales. Food consisted of a selection of cobs. We had amply filled cheese and onion. Very tasty. Very friendly and obliging staff.”

“Visited for the first time this week as my husband had bought vouchers for me for Christmas after me following Artico on Instagram for years and commenting on their colours; especially the blondes. I was pleased to see a busy, impeccably clean and well-kept salon. I was a little nervous but the entire process of my visit was talked through. The girls introduced themselves and we talked through my wants and needs. They gave suggestions too based on the condition of my hair and some regrowth after having a baby. Laurel coloured my hair and understood exactly what I was after. Conversation was easy and the atmosphere in the salon was professional but chilled. Everything seemed very well-run and in hand. I felt welcome, at ease and valued the entire appointment. I can't remember the name of the stylist that cut my hair (sorry! We talked about our dogs), but she wasted no time getting to work, was honest about how much hair needed to come off for the best result (I hadn't had my hair done since November) and left my hair looking and feeling brand new. I'm incredibly pleased with not only the outcome of my colour and cut, but the experience I had. I'll definitely be back. The loyalty card is a great incentive too. Thank you all and props for running such a brilliant salon.”

“I’m happy to have the opportunity to write another review for this excellent company. A year ago, I purchased three new kitchen appliances and a Quooker tap from Macphersons. I needed a new filter for the tap and I had a very minor issue with a decorative metal strip covering the shelf edge between two ovens. I spoke to Allen who had assisted me with the purchases. He advised the filters are supplied direct from Quooker. I ordered the filter online; it arrived by post in 3 days. I emailed Allen to let him know the filter had been delivered. A couple of days later Adrian telephoned to check if I would be at home at midday as he was able to slot me into his schedule for the day. As good as his word, Adrian arrived on time and within fifteen minutes had refitted the metal strip and changed the filter. He also realigned the split doors on my fridge-freezer. The man is a kitchen fitting wizard. My thanks to all the staff at Macphersons for their unfailing support. I cannot fail to be impressed by a company who has staff like Adrian who has been with the company for 28 years. They don’t turn their backs on their customers when there’s an issue. In today’s climate excellent customer service, informed product knowledge and amazing fitting skills provided by a local company make Macphersons my first and only choice.”

“The food was amazing, I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. Every course was perfect. However, if I could remove half a star I would, as we went for the wine pairing and felt that the glasses of wine were so tiny and felt more like a wine tasting. They definitely didn’t qualify as a glass of wine (pictures added). Overall we had a great experience though!”

The chicken tikka aloo chaat was amazing- succulent flavours - a must try! A lovely cosy ambience, perfect for 2 or families. Overall a wonderful experience 10/10. Will definitely be going again.”

“What a gorgeous little place! It was packed, but the staff did everything they could not to leave us standing and waiting for too long. The menu is nice and simple (less is more in a cafe!) Wonderful flavours and great drink choices. The tea was a bit of a let down, as pale as dish water even after being brewed in the pot for ages! But that wasn't a huge disaster and didn't take away from the fact that the food was delicious!”

“Really good, switched over to a different nail salon and this was my first experience and I was really pleased. My design was on the pricier side - £85 but you get what you pay for. Jenny was really precise and paid lots of attention to detail & I got a long length, 3D designs and gems. Will definitely be back!”

“First time visiting and honestly blown away! The lamb curry and keema were incredible — full of flavour and perfectly cooked. We went quite late, and it was one of the few places still open, but the service was spot on. Food came out in under 10 minutes, piping hot and fresh. The place was clean, including the toilets, which is always a plus. Can’t wait to go back and try their karahi and lamb chops next time. Easy 10/10!”

“Servers were very good and food was incredible. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings and it did not disappoint. Well worth the money and experience. Staff were very nice. The ONLY gripe was that the first few courses came really fast but then had a 45 minute wait for the main. It was worth the wait but when you have a matching menu, you also run out of a drink! The water bottles are expensive so we had to wait for the main and drink.”

“Nothing less of 10/10. The food was phenomenal! very prompt service and the confidence the staff have in the menu speaks volumes. Amazing hospitality by the family in this restaurant and really made us feel welcome and at home. We all tried different things of the menu from the Baller box to the burgers and the parmesan, everything cooked to perfection. The house sauces they use are so good! Portion sizes are generous and even had enough left to take home and enjoy later! Thank you once again guys and hopefully we will visit again. Much love from Edinburgh, Scotland!”

“I am so pleased to have come across this venue today! We were served by Iness who was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable on gluten free options explaining everything to me. I had chicken fajitas in the BBQ Chipotle sauce and a side of cheesy fries with the most wonderful pineapple IPA. My husband had the beef burrito and was impressed and enjoyed it. The food is great. The service was amazing. The venue is just awesome and I love that there is so much to look at take in. The decor and music create a Mexican vibe and it just felt a great place to stop and enjoy some good food and a good time. Looking forward to the next visit already! ✨”
