“Went for lunch on Sunday 21st Dec, we went as a walk-in, after a morning of Xmas shopping. The staff were really friendly and welcoming; and even more welcome was the superb roast beef dinner; my wife had Cod-that was equally delicious. My lunch was washed down with a cracking Bordeaux Premiere. The Hotel du Vin is a really great building (former red brick Victorian Eye hospital) so is really characterful; and located in the Colmore Business district of the city centre; so architecturally and aesthetically, one of nicer parts of ‘town’. The bistro is beautifully decorated without being overly grand and pretentious, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to the waitress who allowed us to take extra Xmas crackers for our kids! Merry Xmas!”

“I am a member with Clayton hotel. As a regular guest I can say Clayton always reached my expectations. Very good staff at the reception desk. Especially the manager Mr. Andel went above and beyond to make my stay smooth and enjoyable—always kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. when I had an issue with the AC, he solved it right away and even upgraded my room to make sure I was comfortable. Excellent service and hospitality! Really recommend. I extended my stay because I was really happy with the hotel.”

“Had a very comfortable couple of nights here. Staff were very welcoming, fun chatty, well informed and helpful when I needed things. Attached restaurant is very good, steak was fantastic and breakfast the usual Premier Inn high standards.”

“Stayed here recently. This Premier Inn is located only about 8 minutes walk away from the Birmingham New Street train station. The hotel building is fairly new. Less than 10 years old based on my estimation. The room is of good size. Comfy and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. Premier Plus rooms are on the upper floors. I can see many business travellers staying here. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here. Definitely recommended.”

“So I’d like to thank you for your amazing customer service, your staff and wonderful food. Not to forgot we were able to pray after breaking our Ramadan Fast. The Iftaar/Fast breaking food then the mixed grill starters were tops. Lovely curries and those Afghan Nans are the best. Nice desserts and teas too. Definitely will be returning. “We stayed at this hotel during December and the staff especially Lisa who made efforts to make the christmas seasin enjoyable for us and the kids , like giving them sweety bags and having a christmas tree inside our hotel room !”

“Business event, excellent customer service experienced as I checked in at 3am and given a complimentary extension to rest. Great ambience and superb location which was a quick walk into the city centre. Large deep pool- (sorry no pics as it was in use by others), nice sauna and jacuzzi .”

“Great location within walking distance of the NIA with lots of restaurants and bars along the way. The hotel is clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We were on the 14th floor so we had a good view from the window. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was very good and they had a vegetarian option too. The hotel was very busy but expected this being in the centre of Birmingham. Car park is a short walk (about 5 mins) from the hotel and we pre-booked this, which is advisable.”

“A Fantastic Family Stay at Drayton Manor Hotel – With Outstanding Allergy Care! We had the most wonderful stay at Drayton Manor Hotel and can’t recommend it highly enough! The rooms were spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable – perfect for relaxing after a busy day at the park. What really stood out to us were the excellent facilities for children; everything is thoughtfully designed to keep little ones entertained and happy. But the true highlight of our stay was the outstanding service at the Brasserie restaurant. As someone with celiac disease, eating out can often feel stressful, but the team at the Brasserie made me feel completely at ease. The manager and our server were both incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and proactive in ensuring my meal was safe. Their care and attention to detail genuinely meant the world to me, and I left the restaurant feeling not only full but truly looked after. “Fantastic pub & hotel! Free parking to the front and rear of the pub. Nice cosy room, went downstairs for tea, partner had the hunters chicken with chips & peas, said it was the best chicken he’d ever had! Only thing I’d ask for on the menu is a vegetarian option but I happily tucked into my halloumi fries and cheesy chips. Nights sleep for us both was good and so was breakfast, greeted by the nice staff with plenty of choice available. Some reviews here mention no staff available at breakfast time but being a relatively small establishment they of course will be busy prepping orders put in first. Partner enjoyed full English and I loved my beans on toast! Thank you very much for a pleasant stay!”

“Lovely helpful hosts and a cosy clean room”

“Me and my fiancé stayed there last night, the beds were comfortable and the room was spacious with a lovely bathroom and a desk with tea, coffee, cups, kettle, sugar and sweeteners. The room also have a tv with all the channels so u could enjoy a good movie. The staff were very warm and welcoming and were very willing to have a conversation with us when we went outside to smoke. Overall wonderful hotel definitely worth every penny and we will definitely be staying there again. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in”

“We popped in for a drink and then returned later for a meal. The food was of a higher quality than you expect for a Wetherspoons- hot and clearly made fresh! What stood out for me was that the bar manager really cared and lead by example here- even when it came to clearing tables. The wind blew some napkins from a plate and instead of leaving it as he was carrying a stack of dishes he put the dishes down to chase the flyaway napkin! Can’t comment on the rooms as we didn’t stay there!”

“Had the most amazing Nikah at Castle Bromwich! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The decor was stunning, and the management was outstanding I couldn’t fault a single thing. They truly listened to what I envisioned and went above and beyond to bring it to life. The attention to detail was incredible, and they exceeded all my expectations. uncle Aftab definitely knows how to keep his customers happy and above all listens and delivers. The gardens were like something out of a fairytale absolutely picture-perfect for photos. Thank you for making such a special day even more unforgettable.”

“Stayed here for one night late September. Staff are SO friendly and helpful, right from check-in, and also at breakfast. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel, which is standard corporate style, but very smart and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean and, at last, some decent temperate controls that worked really quickly. It's worth getting breakfast. The buffet selection isn't huge, but it's big enough mix and the hot food was actually hot, and very tasty. It wasn't too much extra over the standard room price, so well worth it.”

“I stay here a few times a year for work and the staff are always extremely helpful and professional. The rooms are a decent size and have a good desk for working. The beds are comfortable although there was some low-level noise from other rooms. The location is good, with restaurants all around and a Sainsbury's Local around the corner. Being close to a main nightlife area, the location is busy through to the late evening and is well lit. Breakfast is fine and there is a chef station for cooked-to-order eggs. It's a 20-min walk to New Street Station with some sharp but short upward inclines on the way to the hotel. Alternatively there is a metro/tram stop nearby on Broad Street with a direct frequent service to the station.”
