“I think these are probably the best burgers I've ever had. Big man's food comes in a close second, but since discovering this place by chance a few months ago I've ordered from here 4 times, 4 different burgers, all equally amazing. All fresh, all the ingredients compliment each other perfectly, the sauces are great, the fries are skin on. The prices are more than you'd pay at McDonald's or burger King, but you get what you pay for!”

“I recently visited The Crown and Anchor, and it completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked through the door the atmosphere was warm and inviting The staff were fantastic friendly attentive and quick with a smile. The drinks selection was excellent with a great range of local ales, crisp lagers, and a few craft options for good measure. The food was equally impressive I was honestly blown away by how good the food was.You can tell straight away that they take real pride in what they serve I really recommend to go.”

“Didn't make a reservation so we sat at the bar but still ordered like normal. Whilst waiting for food we ate from the unlimited salad bar with plenty of options. The food was delicious and filling. For the pudding we had a kid portion of Belgian chocolate brownie which was nice and rich, better if it had a small portion of ice-cream. The brownie took a while to come out even though we asked twice. Overall delicious food and would come here again.”

“Visited over the weekend and after reading older reviews i was not expecting much however I was pleasantly surprised, nice cosey clean country pub. Staff was extremely friendly and made sure out visit was enjoyable. Food was cooked to perfection. I was informed that the pub has been taken over by new managers and after speaking to the locals it seems they are doing a great job getting the pub back to how it should be. Thank you for a great evening. Will definitely be back again soon”

“Found this little gem by chance, and what a find. Recently taken over by new management. The decor was welcoming and comforting, with very nice leather sofa's and armchairs, amongst other tables and chairs. with a nice out door area included at the rear of the pub. We had an afternoon lunch which was of high quality at a very decent price. Staff was very pleasant too. A must visit, one which we will certainly be returning too soon.”

“Really Nice Meal for two and good service! The waitress Isabel was Great she was very helpful and attentive she always made sure we was happy with our meals and kept our drinks topped up when running low. All our food was cooked really nice and came quickly, We had 3 courses and everything tasted fantastic. The cocktails was good and they offer bigger portions if you prefer. Overall we had a Great meal like we have had several times before. We will be returning in the future There is also a parking screen located by the hostess desk that you can enter your car registration to pay for the parking.”

“We came here at 5 o'clock and it was the perfect time for us. Lovely and quiet. It got busier as it got later, but not overcrowded. We used the £10 (mains) menu, an absolute bargain. Food was delicious, we all loved it (also the berry mocktail - fabulous). Staff are really helpful and polite especially the guy who brought out the birthday cake to my friend and me. Totally loved the overall experience and I'll definitely be coming here again”

“Been today after the renovation and now I think, new owners. They now serve alcohol. The place pretty much looks the same as before but cleaner, however their menu has changed - long story short, their prices have gone up and their portion size has gone down and no-one likes that (picture where food is served in a white plate was before renovation) (the video is when we visited today, both mixed grill, you can see the portion difference) ordered Halloumi cheese which was around £5-7 if I didn't look at my bill the girl would've over charged me £13 for this (which is equivalent to a meal) lol these mistakes cannot be happening.. before renovation used to be my regular if I want turkish cuisine,.. I don't know about that anymore..”

“Didn't go for food but a few drinks and the service and settings atmosphere was great as was the music... Motown Reggae singer was very good. It was a nice pub to sit in and the toilets are clean too. Just a really nice pub in a good area too.”

“I was craving a McFlurry but drove past this Burger King first. I haven’t been to Burger King for over 10 years and thought let me see what their ice cream is like. I have fully been converted to burger kings fusion ice creams!! Much better than a McFlurry and will be going regular for one !!”

“Had a fantastic experience at the Beefeater the other night. We were served by Bianca who is always cheery and can’t be more helpful. She always makes such an effort with the children, that it is there favourite pub. The order was taken quickly and the food arrived piping hot. All the food was really tasty with empty plates all round. We will be coming back again soon.”

“We had a good experience at The Penny Black in Tamworth! After an afternoon of shopping, we popped in for a bite to eat and easily found a table and were quickly served at the bar. We enjoyed watching the football game while savoring two rare steaks cooked perfectly, a mixed grill, and three delicious fudge cakes. The food was served promptly and tasted great. I recommend this place for good food and efficient service.”

“We were staying nearby so decided to try here. Not been to a beefeater in years. We felt the main courses were expensive and pretty dull. So decided to mix it up and get 4 starters to share plus a side. It was a very large portion but overall good. Puddings were tasty too and great cocktails. Generally OK if you think outside the box about what to order. Our waitress was lovely too!”

“My family and I visited this restaurant and ordered the Shere Khan mixed meat combo, nihari, gosht biryani, rogan josh, a selection of lassis and mocktails. We spent up to £100 on food and were thoroughly impressed with the quality. Our mixed grill included afghani murgh tikka, fish pakoras, grilled wings, seekh kebabs, and more. Each piece of food was well-cooked, seasoned to perfection, and blended harmoniously. For instance, the nihari was garnished with fresh ingredients, giving it a personalised touch. The salans were also cooked to perfection. The nihari, cooked overnight, was incredibly tender, and the rogan salan was well-flavoured. While I’m not usually a fan of traditional western dishes at desi institutions, my mum loves this one, and I was pleasantly surprised by its taste. The gravy was delicious. I was recommended to come here by my sister in law and I will definitely be coming back.”

“Great Breakfast, fantastic and warming reception from Kelly. Chef Dave attention to detail is fantastic. He was there making sure everyone had exactly what they needed and even helped us out with some more sausages Tyler actually made the experience really special he made sure we needed anything we needed was attended to! “The breakfast spread at this BEEFEATER is extremely varied, lots of cereal, juices, pastries, bread, I chose the full English, it was hot , freshly made and cooked just right. Our host Charlotte was able and capable, it was a very session with lots of people, she was a natural host.”

“Came here for my birthday, enjoyed a nice meal with my mom, dad and brother. I had the chicken pasta which was really yummy. As it was my birthday the staff sung me a happy birthday song which filled me with joy and happiness. Got given a handmade balloon hat which I put on my head for the duration of the time we was there. I also got given some cake with cream which was delicious! I was able to use my student discount but the signal here isn't really the best. Amelia was really nice, polite and friendly. Thank you :-)”
