βRoom was on the top floor, double bed decent price. Free parking however the car park is quite small so it's a first come first serve basis. The room was a good size and very comfortable. The toilet very modern. I would definitely go there again. Checking out was very convenient. They had a little pigeon hole where you could drop off your room keys in case you missed then for a check out Hard to find the entrance to the car park on first visit.β
βWe had a lovely lunch here, friendly staff, lovely food, lovely atmosphere. The only thing that let it down was people who cannot pick up after their dog in the beer garden, no reflection on the Smugglers, but if you take a dog clean up after it.β
βReally lovely place, very clean, lovely friendly & accommodating service. Dog was not phased being away from home & had plenty of room to run around. WiFi excellent. Flexible on having to change booking arrangements at the last minute. Only slight negative, if you stay in Hikers Rest 2, make sure the gate beside it is either latched properly, or securely propped open, otherwise the wind will bang it constantly, waking you up at 3am!β
βVery modern hotel with everything needed. The car park isn't on site, but it's only a short walk. I would imagine it's a great place to stop in the summer, with views over the Marina. All the staff were very pleasant, helpful and friendly. A good hotel base for exploring Brighton.β
βMe and a a friend booked a room here quite last minute on a Saturday during a festival and could not believe how lucky we were to find it! The owner, affan, was extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome, he went above and beyond for us and you can tell he takes pride in these rooms and his guests. The room was spotless and cozy - perfect after a long day of work. The bathroom is also amazing. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!β
βReasonably priced accommodation in a really convenient location, with your own private bathroom and a lovely little partition creating an internal balcony and screening out the noise from outside. What's not to like? The host was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.β
βHad lunch here with some friends. Large popular pub and not ruined by a makeover. The food was very good and reasonably priced. They have special offers depending on the day of the week. The Harvey's beer was in good condition. It was a Tuesday and fairly quiet. I understand it gets busy in the evenings and at weekends. There is a large outdoor seating area if you like that sort of thing. Will definitely go back when next in Lewes.β
βFeels like a proper English country inn, with great atmosphere and friendly staff. There's a function room to hire (I was there for a party) and the buffet was great. I'd be tempted to go try the rooms and the main restaurant sometime.β
βReally lovely place to stay. Staff are so wonderful and friendly. We stayed in the bell tent which is very large and spacious and well maintained. Thereβs plenty of space for children to run around outside and explore. Indoors thereβs also a large lounge and quiet room as well as a well stocked kitchen. Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty. The train is a 3 minute walk away and takes 10 mins to the seafront (although they is only 1 train an hour so time it well). There are also lots of lovely walks straight from the YHA.β
βWe stopped off for food at Sunday lunchtime and I cannot recommend the roast dinner enough! One of the best I have ever had . They catered to my dietary requirements (gluten free) and served delicious food . The service was wonderful and staff was very friendly . I would come back againβ
βLinda and myself stopped from the 2nd june to the 6th june we had an excellent room with sliding door to a seating area great views of the sea and a choice of delicious breakfast.our hosts were friendly and always available to chat.i couldnβt rate our stay highly enough.we will have no hesitation in contacting for accommodation next time we visit brighton and areaβ
βNearly always go in here for food when I visit my mother in Seaford. Simon and crew are extremely courteous and friendly and the food exceptional. All freshly made in house. They ran out of beef wellington yesterday and he quickly whipped one up for me. Doesn't come much fresher than that. Can't praise the quality or service enough. Thoroughly recommended.β
βAfter an unsatisfactory experience at a local kennel we looked around for a new one for our Labrador Harvey and visited several of them. Karen's seemed to offer by far the best setting and facilities and Karen herself seemed to be by far the most genuinely dog-loving and dog-caring owner. As a result we've used Karen many times now and each time Harvey has jumped straight out of the car and sprinted straight towards the front door - he can't wait to see Karen again! This is so reassuring (and so unlike our previous experiences) that we'd never use anyone/anywhere else again. Can't recommend Karen highly enough.β
βAndrea has been taking care of my high drive puppy for almost a year now, and I am extremely happy with the service that Bow Wows Canine Care provide. I was anxious about walking my puppy due to several bad dog attacks on my previous dog. Andrea very kindly allowed me to join her on some group walks, which has enabled me to regain my confidence. I cannot thank her enough for her support. Having seen how happy all the dogs are in her care, including my own, I can now relax knowing that my puppy is loved and well taken care of in my absence.β
βExcellent roast dinner. One of the best I have had. Sticky toffee pudding was 10/10 too. Old transitional pub decor with a real fire. Enjoyed my afternoon hereβ
βIf art deco decor and floor to ceiling bay windows to die for are your thing, then Paskins Town House is the spot for you. My partner and I have stayed here numerous times over the years and we just love the laid back vibe, every room we have stayed in has been clean and well looked after and hosts are so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't recommend Paskins anymore!β
βI organised a lunch for 20 people in the private dining room and had a wonderful experience. The staff were brilliant, proactive and quick to response, helping me from the very start with all the logistics and organising. On the day, they styled the room beautifully, service was fantastic and food was amazing. Really tasty seasonal ingredients and great value. All of my guests were so impressed. Thank you to the team, especially Meghan, for all their help!β
βThe hotel arranged a wonderful buffet for sixty people. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Thank you.β
βSo magical camping here. I feel like this is a well kept secret. The kind staff, the helpful service, the affordability, the tasty breakfast, the spectacular views. I felt very safe staying as a solo female traveller and will definitely return. I was able to work in the cafΓ© and the staff were so kind and considerate as I had to stay up late for a deadline. When I wasn't working, staff and residents engaged in hearty conversation. Good humoured Sally, in particular, made me feel at home. You'd be hard pushed finding somewhere this beautiful, peaceful, clean and well run for the same price. I'm a proud member of the YHA after this incredible introduction to the organisation. If this is what the YHA is all about then I am an unofficial ambassador for the organisation!β
βI recently visited The Crabtree in Shoreham-by-Sea for a pint, and it was a pleasant experience. The pub has a welcoming, traditional feel with a friendly atmosphere. The staff were attentive and made sure I felt comfortable. I enjoyed a pint of their local ale, which was perfectly chilled and flavorful. The ambiance was relaxed, with a mix of locals and visitors enjoying the cozy setting. Whether youβre inside or in the garden, itβs a great spot to unwind. Overall, having a pint at The Crabtree was a delightful experience, and I look forward to my next visit!β
βStayed here for a couple of nights with my friend. We were bowled over with Michael & Paulβs top class hospitality, friendliness & attention to detail. Beautiful room with a comfy bed & everything you could ever need including phone chargers, umbrellas even plug adapters . Lovely guys & Iβd highly recommend staying here when visiting Brighton. 10/10β

βA wonderful gem located in peaceful Peacehaven. Our host was the icing on the cake following our excursion to Normandy.β
βDonna is fantastic. She really cares about the animals she looks after and has been so helpful in making sure my dog Lennon is well looked after. She is very flexible and has adapted her walks and timings, to fit in with Lennon's and my needs. Most important of all, Lennon loves her! Cannot recommend her highly enough.β
βLovely historic home run as an amazing B & B , tasty breakfast from fresh fruit and yogurt to full English breakfast, most definitely worth a stay !!!β
βWe stayed for four nights and found the Milking Parlour to be exceedingly well equipped and comfortable. Sandra is a thoughtful and helpful host providing excellent tips on walks, pubs and places to visit. Highly recommended!β
βJesse has walked our two dogs daily for the last 3 years. She also takes good care of them when we are on holiday. She's a true animal lover and very professional.β
βLovely, quiet oasis with easy access to South Downs Way. The fact that there is a lovely host who is a talented water-colour artist is a bonus. The breakfasts were heart and very well prepared. No issues dealing with one vegetarian and one coeliac/celiac. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet as it faces the back garden. Easy walk into the village for meals, pubs and groceries. The official "greeter cat" is a real character. (See picture).β
βLovely people, reasonably priced and the dogs love it here. What more can you ask?β
βBeautiful place, would absolutely stay againβ
