βThis is a really nice hotel, located right on Brighton's Marine Parade. Everything was within walking distance, with a bus stop right outside. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. As it is a small hotel, there were no long check-in queues and everything was handled in a very personal way. My room had the promised sea view and a view of the Brighton Pier. The hotel has been immaculately and thoughtfully refurbished. Everything you would need was available. The bed was comfortable, the shower was a rainfall shower and there was enough space in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. The price-to-quality ratio was good. I can only recommend 'A Room With A View' and would certainly book it again when I come back to Brighton.β
βLovely, gentle, supportive, and knowledgeable team supporting our Cockerpoo back to fitness. We thoroughly recommend a visit, or several.β
βWe stayed at Snooze for three nights. Tony welcomed us and told us about all the places we should visit during our stay. The room looked incredible. We were in the 70s inspired room. So fun! The room was clean and offered everything we wanted. The area was quite and very close to the beach. It was a less than 15 min walk to the Lanes. Thereβs also a bus stop very close. They also do a collaboration for breakfast with Egg & Spoon, which you can either get delivered or enjoy in the cafe. All in all, we really loved staying at Snooze. Would recommend 10/10!β
βPerfectly situated for SDW walkers, or as a base for walks and rides in the area. Pretty village. Lovely hosts and excellent cooked breakfast in pretty country dining room. Nice and quiet, room was comfortable with garden view. Fresh milk for tea/coffee in the room was appreciated. Pub just across the road was friendly and food was plentiful and reasonably priced.β
βWe have returned recently from 'one week' stay at 'The Old Flower Field Lodges', where we had the MOST AMAZING time. Our stay was made so much more enjoyable b/c of our hosts 'Shaun' and 'Sue' who run the business. The lodges were extremely comfortable, all the home comforts you need to make your stay more enjoyable / relaxing. Additionally, laundry and 'disabled / wheelchair' friendly (seated) shower facility is available for guests. Regretfully, we returned home on Saturday. Anyone looking for great location to stay, near to south-coast, home comforts and excellent hosts, we recommend you look at booking time at The Old Flower Field Lodges'.β
βAn impressive 5 star Cattery. Communication was excellent. Extremely well organised. The owners were friendly and helpful. Misty had clearly very happy during her stay. Will definitely use again. Would highly recommend.β
βI had Benwick take care of my two cats while I was moving in to a new flat, and they did a phenomenal job. My cats are not used to new environments and can be shy, but the folks at Benwick gave them great care. I was also really pleased with their communiication. I could not have asked for a better cat sitter!β
βWe had a fantastic stay at the Main Manor House with a group of friends. The house has everything that you need and is in a great location. The house itself is comfortable and full of history. The grounds are very well maintained and there are lots of activities on site or nearby. We would really recommend visiting!β
βDaisy was great at grooming my Sproodle. She was kind, caring and did an amazing groom. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a groomers in this area.β
βI had an absolutely fantastic experience with this cattery. The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and clearly designed with the cats' comfort and safety in mind. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the well-being of the animals in their careβ
βHave passed by here for years and not found time to stop. Made time today and had an amazing birthday meal. Curry goat was amazing, my wife's pork chop was enormous, tender and beautifully cooked. My son's steak gorgeous and apparently the cheeseburger was the best my daughter has ever had. Fantastic staff too, so friendly and happy to answer any queries. Great local beers too. Great to see a small local place so busyβ
βGreat campsite with great views, super clean toilets and showers ,you can also order breakfast's, short walk to buses into centre of Brighton campsite is also nice and quiet, logs can also be purchased for fire pits.β
βWe had an excellent time here this weekend. The room was clean, smart and had everything we could need (including iron, ironing board and free sweet basket). The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, we had the fruit with yogurt and full English. I would definitely recommend this hotel.β
βI couldn't recommend the Southern Belle more highly. The hotel is beautifully decorated, short walk from the lanes with absolutely lovely food. The best thing is the staff and atmosphere though - this made our stay really special and gives the bar downstairs a real local vibe. Will definitely be back!β
βI stayed here for a weekend visiting family, with my mum and partner. And honestly it was perfect. Perfect location not too far from the station, rooms were spotless, first time I've ever been to a BnB or hotel that gives me a pot for tea in my room! Straight up 10/10 just for that. Mark was so friendly and welcoming and cooked the best full English breakfast each day.β
βBeen out walking and just called in on the off chance as hadnβt booked. Was really busy but they fitted us in without a fuss - thanks. Had the Sunday roast (beef of course) and was not disappointed - it was fabulous! Bella took our order and a young lass with blonde hair served us (Jenni? I think, sorry didnβt get her name). We could see it was busy and the staff were busy but they kept an eye out for everyone. Really pleased we called in & will call in again next time we are in the area. Thank you.β
βWe shared a meal last evening before going to the Hurst festival comedy night, staff ensured we were fed and watered all in good time. Food was fantastic and service brilliant as always. A real treat.β
βFantastic stay all round!! Location, wonderful rooms with lots of space. Easy reach of everything. No parking but you can still reach the hotel by car, despite what other reviews say. Special shout out to Auri. Super helpful when i wanted to change the room I had booked. Took care of everything and was super helpful. Brilliant free to access gym as well. Would recommend to anyone stopping in Brighton.β
βHad a Friday night at Drakes. Staff were wonderful and the room was great - huge pillows and lovely bedding. Also location was excellent for the seafront and shopping.β
βI had a very nice stay there this week. It arguably got the best situ of any winery in the UK and it was particularly nice with the autumnal leaves on the vines. The staff were lovely, the barn is lovely place to stay in with a nice log burner in the lounge area and the meals were very good. I'd highly recommend.β
βGreat location, very clean. Had a great conversation with the owners, down to earth caring people. I was late for breakfast but still made me breakfast. Couldn't recommend enoughβ
βWe have been taking our dog to Cherry Tree for a few years now and we canβt be more satisfied. Whether itβs daycare, short stay or a 2-week stay, our dog is always happy to go and comfortable. During our last holiday the staff was so nice to send us some pictures of him when we asked. He gets all the walks, socialisation, treats and cuddles that he needs to have a happy stay. Everyone is great with dogs and they really care for them. For us itβs surely piece of mind while weβre away. Thank you!β
βFriendly, attentive and highly experienced, the staff at Hammerpond are second to none. Our rescue dog was nervous at his first booking, but the staff handled it so well he was soon wagging his tail and enjoying being fussed over. The staff seem genuinely interested in each dog and are quick to pick up on each pet's preferences and sociability. The enclosed grass paddock is a big plus - other kennels I looked at only had a concrete or astroturf exercise area. It's wonderful to be able to leave our dog with such professionals and I can't recommend Hammerpond Kennels highly enough.β
βGenuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. Food and service both 10/10β
βHad a fab time on NYE with hazel as our server, experience was amazing and very comfortable. Hazel was very welcoming and a treat to talk to. Food was great too!β
βCanβt speak for the rooms as didnβt see them but based on all else am giving a 5 as not sure what happens if skip stars for the rooms .. but the service is phenomenal. Fascinated to watch the efficiency and attention the staff give to their jobs. They dont skip a beat! As for the ambience and just total loveliness of the building and its setting. Gorgeous. Iβm trying to think of reasons to come back to this area. Loved it. My veggie tagine was pretty good too. Chips - French fries - as good as they get. No stragglers at the bottom you canβt eat. Yummy til the last bite.β
βMy friend and I went for Sunday lunch both had roast lamb, and it was delicious. Staff were very attentive. Very busy obviously very popular.β
βThings are a bit hazy on this pub as we'd been to a few before but I remember the staff being friendly and a selection of beers. Nice pub, good atmosphere. Would go backβ
βPerfect place for a warm Summer evening meal outside. Great menu and very good quality food. Chicken came with one of the best Caesar salads Iβve had in a long while including fresh anchovies. The trout was also perfectly cooked. Large garden with various options for eating outside;open, partly or totally under cover. Best to book a table or arrive early especially on weekends, although be aware you canβt order food until 6pm.β
βStud farm campsite is one of the most beautiful campsites I have stayed on. The views of the south downs and the sea are second to none. The campsite is quiet and had respectful people when we camped. They have a toilet block and showers although as we up on top of the downs the water pressure was very low so not sure how good the showers were, toilets were clean and tidy... Camp fires were allowed but only off the ground which is understandable. The have on-site staff to help and bring firewood if you need. It's only a short drive to birling gap or the start of the seven sisters. The top of the hill can get a bit windy but if you prepare for it it's not a problem. Keep an eye of for spitfire flybysβ
