βLovely authentic feel to the building. The seats in screen 4 are so comfy and would be cheap at twice the price! I had the most amazing time! One teeny tiny negative was the surround sound was overwhelmingly LOUD.β
βBeen out walking and just called in on the off chance as hadnβt booked. Was really busy but they fitted us in without a fuss - thanks. Had the Sunday roast (beef of course) and was not disappointed - it was fabulous! Bella took our order and a young lass with blonde hair served us (Jenni? I think, sorry didnβt get her name). We could see it was busy and the staff were busy but they kept an eye out for everyone. Really pleased we called in & will call in again next time we are in the area. Thank you.β
βTwo lovely pizzas and some non-alcoholic beer for me, the wife and baby. A very nice little visitβ
βI love this cafe. Can be difficult to get a seat due to its popularity. But I can't say anything bad about it. The smashed avocado with poached eggs, crispy bacon, sourdough toast and pimenton is unbelievable and possibly one of my favourite breakfasts/brunches. I definitely recommendβ
βElegant colonial style hotel with modern comforts whilst retaining period features, set in the South Downs National Park in the picturesque idyllic historic village of Alfriston. Highly recommend booking early and going for a room with a veranda access which had perfect views over the gardens at the National park. Set close to the sea, vineyard and the quaint village shops and restaurants which are all wonderful. We ate in the private dining room on the first night with a group where the food was spectacular. My lamb was a standout dish that I'll remember along with the white chocolate mousse. The rooms were immaculate and had a coffee maker and tea area. We could have done with a few more hangers and hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. Staff were friendly and accommodating. If you plan to go out till late, take a front door key as they lock the doors at 10pm. Breakfast was delicious and flexible as they can add/remove items upon request without fuss. Continental selection was limited but gluten free and vegan options are available on request. There is a guests only first come first serve car park to the rear, which had enough space for us and we didn't struggle to park. Beautiful place that was a wonderful place to relax, enjoy and stay. Highly recommend.β
βWe shared a meal last evening before going to the Hurst festival comedy night, staff ensured we were fed and watered all in good time. Food was fantastic and service brilliant as always. A real treat.β
βSuch a good place. Near death people gather here, but in a good way. An older crowd but a right good vibe.β
βFriendly service, always with a smile and good laugh from everyone at Lexβs. I go after my weekly sea swimming group and they always make us feel welcome. A must visit for anyone new to the beach or Hove.β
βWhat a hidden gem that you now need to visit! The most beautiful tapas restaurant in Hove, designed so stylishly and serving pretty amazing tapas with a twist on your more traditional dishes! A huge selection of wines, local Spanish beers and great sangria, and really friendly waiting staff, too. Spent a really enjoyable couple of hours here and cannot wait to return again soon :)β
βWe had a great roast here. The staff are so friendly and polite. They are very dog-friendly and even gave him some plain chicken, which he was very pleased about! I will definitely be going back. Thank you xβ
βSuch a good place. Near death people gather here, but in a good way. An older crowd but a right good vibe.β
βThe sunday roast is absolutely amazing. The decor and the vibes are so good and the staff couldnβt be more attentive and friendly.β
βPopped in here for dinner with friends the other night. Service was excellent, drink selection good & the food...was just awesome. We shared 2 of the platters between 4 & it was more than enough, the garlic sausage & brisket were standouts, but everything was just excellent. Oh & the dry rub chicken wings are 100% brilliant. Cannot fault, would go again in a heartbeatβ
βModern art gallery, very archtectural building and incrediable location for views of the sea and town. It really helped to have a guided tour. They bring out some otherwise unfathomable art.β
βHad a Friday night at Drakes. Staff were wonderful and the room was great - huge pillows and lovely bedding. Also location was excellent for the seafront and shopping.β
βFabulous pub! Quirky, eclectic interior with a good range of drinks on tap, plus some interesting cocktails. Get there before 7pm and some of the prices are cheaper too. And the Thai food is outstanding - great spicy portions at a very reasonable price. A total gem.β
βNice pub, great portion size on the roast, cheersβ
βThe new chef produced the most tasty and well presented small plates this evening. Simply delicious, we really enjoyed it and can't wait for when the roasts start in a couple of weeks.β
βBeen here serval times but never for a roast. Pork belly was faultless. Staff are great, and pub is timeless. We will carry on returning forever more. Thank you, Jed & Millieβ
βLovely atmosphere & fantastic service. Food is a bit of a let down but the 2-4-1 on Burgers on Wednesday is 100% worth it Dog friendly tooβ
βI would highly recommend this place! The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was absolutely exceptional. Wishing you the best with the recent reopening, I'm confident you'll do great!β
βWonderful little place to go for a laugh. Music and fun times for all. Great service with some of the nicest people! Love it allβ
βLovely evening. We had the steak and lamb chops... both were lush.β
βWe ordered the chicken platter for 2.it had more than enough meat for two people. We thoroughly enjoyed it as it was all cooked to perfection and was so juicy. I loved the red cabbage salad that came with it, however they've stopped doing the pomegranate dressing which is a shame! The cous cous is very tasty as well. The restaurant has a good vibe and staff are really helpful. They serve Efes beer as well.β
β1st timer Loads of bands playing there Friendly Awesome night outβ
βJust had a coffee, but the atmosphere was good toilets spotless, staff extremely polite, and taking a small baby in there not a problem. Would definitely go back again and againβ
