“My dog loves his stays at Sherston, they look after him excellently. Fully recommend.”
“We had a fantastic weekend stay at Windylands B&B this summer! Everything was perfect-the environment was so peaceful and comfortable, and our room was incredibly clean, making us feel right at home. A huge thank you to the host, Richard, for preparing everything for us and for his wonderfully warm welcome and care. He made us feel like we'd known him forever! The delicious breakfast each morning was also a highlight (truly the best hotel breakfast l've ever had), ensuring we felt completely pampered and at ease.”
“Stayed overnight this week and will certainly be returning (if they'll have me). A lovely personal experience; Gill the landlady lives in the farmhouse (it's a working farm) and is really sweet; a fount of local information who works hard to make your stay so good. Comfortable beds, immaculately clean with home made biscuits in your room as a little treat and a great selection for breakfast. Already looking forward to going back”
“I enjoyed the night I stayed there very much. The rooms are immaculate and nicely decorated. The house is very quiet and have a lovely lounge and dining room. The location is close to Bath and some very nice villages in Wiltshire and those areas.”
“Very friendly hosts. Rooms reflect the charm and character of such a historic building. As such, amenities like a trouser press would be out of place I feel. Wonderful views. Access is via a single track lane up Parsonage Road. Be wary of satnav taking you to care home next door as it did to us.”
“Lovely little converted property. Comes with all that you could possibly need for your stay. Lovely comfy double bed with quality linen. Nice and warm and no shortage of hot water. Bathroom could do with a little tidy up, cracked floor tiles, tatty silicon and shower door kept sliding off. Ideal place to stay whether it be for work or a holiday. Lovely and peaceful .”
“Very professional. This place looks after my fur babies brilliantly and I have a difficult dog, so I commend them especially for this! I would highly recommend Ann and her team! Clean, affordable and most importantly great care!”
“Great clean campsite. Hot showers toilets microwave freezer kettle etc. Very friendly and helpful owners. Never too busy for a chat. Feels really homely. Extremely quiet site. Really good phone signal. Be staying here regular as I travel a lot for work Price is good Ceri morris from south wales uk.”
“We had a fantastic family break at Peppers Lodge and couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The lodge is pure luxury — beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable escape. It sleeps four perfectly and strikes the perfect balance between cosy and spacious. A real home away from home. The private hot tub was a real highlight — ideal for unwinding after a busy day of exploring and local activities. The peaceful setting made it feel like a true retreat, while still being close to local attractions and amenities. What made our stay even more special was that other family members were just across the way in Sleights Lodge, another luxury lodge. It was so lovely having them nearby — we could spend time together easily, while still enjoying our own space and privacy. From the high-quality furnishings to the thoughtful touches throughout, everything had a real feel of comfort and class. We felt right at home and thoroughly pampered. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, none of us wanted to leave. Highly recommend for families, couples, or friends looking for a luxurious and relaxing break with just the right amount of togetherness.”
“Friendly place with attentive staff. Good local real ale and cider at competitive prices. We hadn't been to Chepstow for some time but the building has been transformed in recent years and is a credit to the town.. Interior is clean, light and airy. All in all a great place to stay or just stop for a drink.”
“Absolutely superb. Not only did the house and location exceed my expectations, there is a stunning view. I stopped here as a convenient work pit stop, and I will most definitely return for leisure. The house is immaculately clean, homely and caring touches. High quality furnishings and fittings, no stone unturned. extremely good value for money, it actually felt like a holiday. I also cant remember the last time I stayed somewhere with a decent television.”
“Richard was great, our 'repatriaton' after Thomas Cook's sad demise left us unsure of arrival time back to Bristol but he kept in touch with us and was ready to meet us at the airport when we finally got back. Great service, thank you so much Richard. Brilliant, thanks Richard”
“We stayed there for one night with our 2,5 years old son. The access was easy and the room very clean as well as the communal areas. The location was good since we managed to park nearby and walk to the centre.”
“Great wine tour at a really lovely location. Howard was an excellent host and guide. The wine is superb! Thank you all.”
“Beautiful well equipped cozy cottage near Cheddar Gorge and the cathedral city of Wells. Owner and host very welcoming and helpful. Very dog friendly with extra towels, bowls etc”
“Happy Hounds is a great daycare setting for dogs. Sue and Sally look after my dog on a Monday each week, they are really great and good communication after each session with any potential issues or just feedback on a great day. The setting itself is ideal for the dogs, a lovely big bit of space and a cabin area for a bit of a lunchtime nap! Also great value for money, would highly recommend.”
“Such a comfortable place to stay. This was a business trip, but I'll definatly come back if visiting Bristol. The owners are lovely, and so helpful. A big thank you to them.”
“Lovely traditional room. Great view. Special attentions for our dog, dog box (ball, treats, biscuits, poo bags), as well as a bed he loved and food bowls. Needed an earlier breakfast, which was no problem. Jean-Luc was very attentive to our needs, and we had a lovely stay in this beautiful part of Bath!”
“A unique and really special place to stay. Richard the charming owner is very welcoming and has so many great stories to tell about the history of the house. We had a wonderful night's sleep in a huge and comfortable bed followed by a delicious breakfast. I hope we can come back one day.”
“We really enjoyed our stay in Bath because owner Peter sat down with us and went over everything we wanted to do. We saw the Roman Baths in Bath and drove to the Cottswalds. A pretty country drive. Breakfast is personally cooked by Peter and his assistant. Several reasonable hot and cold choices and Peter's charm got us off to a good start. Several dinner choices were within a 5 minute walk. I think I learned of Marlborough House because of Rick Steve's travel guide recommendation. Charm, quiet, good sleep, good food, charm of Peter gave us a nice 4 days!”
“My cousin and I stayed here this past week during the Jane Austen Festival and we could not have picked a better spot! We stayed in the building overlooking the square in a second floor room. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. Our room did not have AC but thanks to the fall weather, we were very comfortable with the windows open at night. The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. We did not want to leave and will absolutely stay here when we come back to the festival!”
“Our nervous dog spend 10 days with them and it is the first time ever that she stays in a Kennel and she seems the same dog when I picked her up. She didn’t loose weight or hair from the stress. They looked after her so well. They asked me lots of questions on her behaviour/likes/dislikes when she checked in and looks like she had a good time there. Will be using again from now on.”
“Great Kennels and always the best, Highly recommend all staff really helpful and polite!! If you need to book make sure you book in advance as they book up very quickly (tells you something that)”
“Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Victoria and Geoffrey are the kindest of hosts and made us feel really welcome. Their farmhouse is lovely and full of character, and the location an oasis of countryside bliss. I thoroughly recommend staying at Manor Farm.”
“We have just had a wonderful 4 night break in one of the studio cottages. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack, which includes lovely homemade bread was an added bonus. Room was clean and the shower a treat. Local pub did great food that you can walk to in 5 minutes. What sets this place above others is the host. Angela was wonderful and friendly. She allows you to fish in their large pond and if like us, you may be lucky and see the kingfisher too. I am sure we will return.”
“A lovely site , very peaceful, lots of room to pitch on grass. Very friendly Owners can't do enough for you. A good pub a mile and a half down the lane in Range worthy (Rose & Crown) excellent Sunday lunch. Would recommend the site wholeheartedly.”
“As a 17 year old, this was the first trip I had unsupervised by parents and oh my was it one to remember. It was such a lovely place and the owner Tim was so lovely, friendly and generous. It was the best camping trip that I’ve ever had”
“Location, location, location! We loved the views across the valley from this place, could easily spend several hours in the hot tub just looking at the beautiful scenery! Great for big groups of people and plenty of seating, big BBQ and ovens to feed the hordes was good. The lady owner was nice and helped us out when we didn't understand how the recycling worked. Downsides? The downstairs bedroom was a little bit damp and some of the upstairs bedrooms would have benefitted from curtains or blinds to go over the skylights/windows. Other then that I would highly recommend this place to any groups of people.”
“We stayed away for my husband birthday. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. I highly recommend the raspberry and rhubarb gin! The room was cosy and well equipped and the pub had such a lovely vibe, it was bustling and the smell of warm mulled wine filled the air!”
“Had a lovely stay. Room service breakfast surroundings first class. Look forward to being back.”
