“Dropped of relatives here as they are staying in the hotel whilst in town. We were allowed to leave their luggage as it was too soon to check in but we decided to have some lunch in the hotel restaurant. Food was fantastic, plenty and reasonably inexpensive. A lunch for 5 plus drinks was £60. Great service, fresh food, cheerful staff. Would highly recommend a visit.”
“The food was very good I had chicken wings and they were cooked perfectly, my gran and grandad had sweet chilli chicken wraps and they said it was good, service came quick and the decoration was nice. For kids drink I would recommend the apple juice good size and taste is Nice.”
“Always a good atmosphere in the rumblingwell. Great local pub with friendly and welcoming staff. Pub quiz was very entertaining, drinks cheaper than alot of other places in town, very comfortable and cosy and toilets clean and modern. Rebecca is always so friendly and happy to help. Highly recommended ☺️”
“Nice bar, good drinks and friendly service.”
“I always come back to this place after college while waiting for my bus. The staff are always warm and friendly! The place is nice and clean as well. I haven't tried any of the food, so can't comment on that. But the drinks are always made well — my go-to is the chai latte :)”
“2nd best pub going it's best dive bar going cheap great locals nae grub”
“Great local pub.No food but good friendly service and resonable prices.”
“I have just returned from Australia to visit my elderly parents, who have only recently moved into the area, and I was extremely pleased to see that they have such a high-quality convenience store right on their doorstep. I’m very impressed by the range and quality of the products, and I sincerely hope the community continues to support you as strongly as you support the community.”
“Visited twice last week and couldn’t have been happier with the service at Barbour. Staff were friendly and attentive on each of my visits. Very happy with my purchase also.”
“Had a fresh, handmade bacon roll and a caramel doughnut filled with cream, absolutely 5 stars for quality, price and quantity. I'll be back for more salty and sweet food, so many tasty looking things to try! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Came here as a tourist looking for a drink and ended up having a great time. Enough so that the rest of our crew came to check it out without us and had an ever better time!”
“Only been once plan to go again didn't have food so can't recommend”
“Clean and tidy. I think may have been new staff as it seemed a bit disorganised, clunky and slow in service. They were all very friendly. Do need a code for the loo, obtain from the staff. Plenty of seating whether on your own or in a group. Plenty of space for toddlers to roam supervised.”
“Pub near Portobello , townhall. A nice place for drinks with Live Music. One a play dart game as well here. Dart game is free. They don't serve any kind of food Also they accept only cash payment”
“Called in for a quick coffee whilst doing some shopping. It was clean and tidy. The service was prompt and the staff friendly.”
“Amazing coffee and sometimes amazing staff , but there are 2 in particular that are arrogant to the and they don’t even give you a wee smile. And just look at you like you have done something wrong by coming into the shop. Everyone else who I have met has been fantastic and the doing such a good job 5* to all of them.”
“This particular Costa is of a good size, spacious, with the seating arranged in a manner to accommodate some privacy. It has a variety of customers. In my visit I saw a father with his baby and a mother with her young baby too, an older lady alone, a couple of men on laptops and a group of a few (18-25year old? Approx) females. They didn't have any sugar free shots, although I know other branches do. I'm unsure whether they don't stock them or didn't have any available that particular day? It was quiet and pleasant. Regardless of the fact that there are numerous seating against the window into the premises, there's ample seating away from "the spot light". So I wouldn't let that deter you from going in. There's Wi-Fi available although I didn't find the signal that great it kept cutting off. Due to the Wi-Fi my data signal was useless. Although there were a couple of gentlemen near by me on laptops, who may well have been using the Wi-Fi? I enjoyed my visit it was calm and the coffe was made exactly to my liking and I've got numerous requests when it comes to my coffee. I recommend if you visit Costa (any premises) to get the loyalty card. After so many visits/points gained you can save up and get a coffee free from the credit/points on the loyalty card. I rarely order anything but a coffee. However they do have a small selection of options for snacks or lunch. They can heat up rolls and toasties. I didn't visit the restroom, but there are some public restrooms on the premises.”
“This Costa branch is great. Peter & his team always go the extra mile to ensure their customers are made welcome as well as enjoying a good cup of coffee. Give it a go, and you will return time & time again.”
“Went in Saturday great local shame foods stopped was a great lunch stop before (please come back food )”
“Very, very yummy. Great vegan options! The coffee was lovely! We'll definitely be returning!”
“The new chef and the new menu is what Roseburn terrace needed for extra food in the area. Bar service from both the boy and girl were top notch. Nice big screen for the sports, overall clean. Will be back”
“Clean and friendly. Food smelled nice, though I didn't have any myself. Close to a football stadium and rugby, so sports on tv, can be a bonus. If matches are on, it will get busy, so get a seat before the match ends.”
“Lovely wee boozer, it's no the dome and it's definitely no the Balmoral and thats what makes it so refreshing - it's real Edinburgh.”
“Ordered a takeaway from Slumdog for our anniversary celebration and the food was delicious. Chicken was lovely, sauces were excellent with loads of flavours. Order was delivered earlier than expected. Delivery driver was very friendly. Will definitely order from here again and will also try the restaurant soon.”
“Very popular but they move things along fast and there's plenty of free parking.”

“Pretty dam good value. Our whole lunch was around £23 for both of us. Are light but excellent food quality! KJ, from the kitchen was fantastic! There was a football (soccer) game in and we loved every minute. While my wife was writing postcards to the kids lol! I was catching up on some work stuff but great spot.”
