“Gorgeous food, would highly recommend eaten here twice while staying in Dunfermline as food & service was that good”
“Very nice hotel and the staff and breakfast were excellent. The problem I had was finding the hotel as it is on Edinburgh University campus area and there is no signage on the side of the hotel facing the road. The room was really nice with interesting lighting features. They do offer free parking and it is 6 minutes from the airport”
“Ive stayed at these apartment quite a few times now . The first time i stayed i had a little trouble with a broken balcony door and problems with the hot water. The apartment was great , spacious, clean, modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff apologized for the trouble i had my first stay and gave us a free nights stay on our next booking. I have been back to these apartments a few times since and haven't had any problems at all . The staff are friendly and helpful . There is restaurants and bars close by . An asda within 10 mins walk. The price is very reasonable and you get a discount if you book direct. I intend to stay at the apartments again for our next little city break overall great apartment and great staff .”
“Last August I spent a week at Emmaus House. It is a place of great hospitality. Janet and Andrew are very welcoming and hospitable. I felt very much at home. They are always there for every guest. Both helped me with the information I needed and the language. Our breakfast was a wonderful time, every day there were different people from different countries, so there were many experiences shared. It felt like a family. I had the opportunity to share other’s experiences and joy. It was a brilliant time. On my last day there, Janet cooked a delicious supper for us. I made friends there and I would like to go back and spend some days with them. I greatly recommend Emmaus House. Rosemeire Dos Reis”
“Great few days away staying in this hotel, the location is great and easy walking access to new and old parts of Edinburgh. Rooms lovely and clean. Staff friendly at reception. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Must give a mention to Raul at breakfast, nothing too much trouble. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh”
“This hotel provided an excellent experience, and I would definitely use them again! Friendly and helpful staff, very beautiful lounge area where I enjoyed the delicious breakfasts in the mornings and my coffees in the evenings. Rooms are compact but as a single traveler it met my needs perfectly and I stayed there for a week. Within walking distance of a lot of attractions and transport points.”
“This was the first of three Premier Inn locations we stayed at during our tour of Scotland. The Edinburgh City Centre location is right in the heart of the city within a few minutes walk of the tram line as well as the train station. Super easy to get to from the airport. Our room was comfortable and quiet. We chose the breakfast included option and were very pleased Premier Inn's breakfast offering. Everything fresh and tasty. A big thank you to Helen who was so warm and welcoming while working hard looking after our table and others each morning. Thank you Premier Inn!”
“I think I've left, like, 3 Google reviews in my whole life. But this hotel was really so good that it needs a review. The staff are amazing . So eager to help. The rooms are nice and clean, the shower has good water pressure, the location is just amazing , but it's still pretty quiet. Definitely a place to stay if you're in Edinburgh. This American cannot recommend it highly enough”
“I came here to explore Edinburgh with a friend and we had an amazing time! When we arrived after some flight difficulties, we found that the team had upgraded our accommodation and had it fully ready upon arrival. We also asked the Front Desk staff if they had any recommendations for sites to visit and they wrote us a list with some great things that we didn't have on our list already! It's a quick walk to the Royal Mile, surrounded by very fun pubs, and is very clean and well run. Thanks for an amazing stay!”
“Very nice spacious clean appartment...no bad points what so ever”
“It’s wonderful to have well spiced and steaming hot Singaporean style rice noodles on a chilly evening. It’s of such a generous portion, definitely value for money. The photo doesn’t do it justice. The taste is authentic, surely helps with my homesickness.”
“This was our first time in the city and this was the ideal place to stay, it was surrounded by great places to eat and drink. The accommodation was amazing, it was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was perfect and had a good variety. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definately recommend it to anyone coming to the city.”
“It was a little harder to find.Enter in to the hotel and they will direct you to the elevator. However, the food was great”
“Best shisha in Edinburgh. Great food and shisha. Thank you Sam!”
“Stayed over a couple of nights while taking a short vacation back home, perfect location for walking to see the Forth Rail and Road bridges, with a glorious view of the new Queensferry crossing just a couple of minutes walk away. There is a Tesco and a McDonald's nearby too. Staff were lovely, hotel room was pleasant and clean, extra heater provided in room if it got chilly, tower fan if it got a bit too hot in summer (when I went). I'd definitely recommend anyone visiting to see the attractions, use this hotel as a stop over. It's lovely”
“Called in as it was recommend by locals, filled a hole, wasn’t the best wasn’t the worse.”
“I come to this Nando’s nearly every week with my partner and daughter, Love the food but I’m giving this review too a man named James, we come in and out can tell this guy loves and cares about his role in the company, Always happy, always spares a couple minutes to ask about our week and goes the extra mile to give us a great service every time. The rest of the staff are great too - but James really stands out for me. Thanks to Nando’s at straiton for delivering every time.”
“Very affordable and great location for a hotel! We were both pleasantly surprised with the room! Great service, would definitely recommend and come back here again!”
“My Daughter and I recently stayed at Royal Mile Edinburgh. All the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. All our meals were absolutely delicious thanks to chef Andrew. From Receptionist to waiting staff, house keepers a big thank you to you all for looking after us. We’d definitely recommend Royal Mile and we’d like to stay again some time soon. Xx”
“Works Christmas dinner. Absolutely fantastic food! The service was top notch too. Location is very handy for the M4 (Junction 15 is a stones throw away). Highly recommended. Photos don't include the bowls of accompanying veg.”
“Quietly located just off the Royal Mile and 5 minutes walk to Holyroodhouse palace. Room is comfy and a bit spacious. Early check in was granted at no cost. All staff at the reception were great as well as Megan at the restaurant.”
“I had the most wonderful experience at The Angels Share in Edinburgh. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and looked after by Laura who was absolutely fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made me feel right at home. The food was truly marvellous beautifully presented, full of flavour, and every dish exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal in the heart of the city. Overall, it was a five-star experience, thanks to the combination of excellent service and delicious food. I’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh!”
“Afternoon tea for four. One was gluten free (allergies). We made use of the Wowcher offer to try this out and really were not disappointed. For those in the know, coeliacs is not the easiest of food to get right but the chef at the Braid Hills Hotel completely smashed it! My daughter was delighted with the quality of the food that she was served, as were we all. My son-in-law raved about the haggis bites, which was good because he was able to eat mine (haggis, yuck, lol but it's just not for everyone). The smoked salmon pate was, however, delicious. Now lets get down to the sweet treats. Wow! Again, my daughter was so pleased with the home made scone, scones are notorious at the best of times, but take the gluten out and you will struggle to get them as light as these were! All of the food was truly lovely. Food wise I would put it up there with some of the best in Edinburgh, however the dining room was maybe not up there. That said, it was very far from being bad, I would say that it was simply average. Please remember though, the cost of this, even without a Wowcher deal, was so much lower than "the best in Edinburgh" so for the food to match that standard what's not to like. All I am saying is that if you are looking for swanky, this is not the place, also, if you are looking for a greasy spoon this is not the place. If you are, however, looking for a place that is warm and welcoming, you have found your little piece of heaven. Service though, wow, we had an Asian waiter, was he from India? certainly somewhere around there, I only say because I did not get his name and would really love for management to know what an absolute gem he was. So warm and welcoming and extremely attentive from the minute we arrived until we left. Oh,and, not on the menu for the afternoon tea was some red lentil soup that the chef sent out with compliments to us, we all agreed we would have been extremely happy to order that had we been dining there, maybe next time. Yes, next time, there most certainly will be a next time.”
“Very nice fish and chips with friendly staff. The fish was delicious with a nice thin batter and the chips were crispy. The curry sauce was nice too as was the coffee that I had.”
“Food is made fresh with real ingredients very good service and big portions best food I've had in ages , don't get the bad reviews at all”
“Absolutely exquisite, really good turkey that. Very much enjoyed my Sunday roast, lots and lots of fun. I will be returning hey there! the other person at the table here. that sunday roast was sublime. I was genuinely brought to tears by the flavours that exploded on my tongue, a true burst of warmth, comfort and of course nostalgia. I too WILL be returning.”
“Love place for drinks and watching the footy. The little huts outside are great for a small group with its own tv and table service makes it ideal for the match. Food was great too and not bad value for a capital city pub bang in the middle of the city centre”
“Had a great time here! Everything was great as expected. Only downside is that getting a Taxi might take a little, so if you are in a hurry plan for some extra minutes. The staff is realy helpful with this. Breakfast was also good! Nothing too fancy but there are enough options to please everyone”
“Good no frills hotel at a reasonable price for the area. Excellent location. We had an issue with the sheets and they sorted it out real quick using their whatsapp service. A no frills option if you are just using the place to sleep. Its a quieter location than the central Ibis so got a good night's sleep. Mind, we were on the top floor. I would use this one again.”
“We will definitely be looking at this as our go to accommodation next time we are through in Edinburgh. Absolutely sensational location in Edinburgh, steps away from Princes Street and any transport you could need. A reasonable price during the Edinburgh Fringe compared to other locations. Staff was lovely and very accommodating to requests. Luggage storage and laundry facilities available. Only very minor issues with the room (bed wasn't the most comfortable, but was adequate; musty smell in the bathroom that was hard to ignore; a few slightly loose porions on the flooring; internet was a little patchy) but nothing that I would class as a "problem". The lack of a lift again not a problem) is worth noting just for those who would need one (70 stairs up to our rooms was no issue for us, but don't get caught unawares!). High recommendation.”
