“Nice place for walking, running and relaxing (It has a playing field, pond and river)”
“We went for the first time yesterday as the sun was shining and wanted to stop somewhere for some lunch. We both had the salmon salad which was absolutely gorgeous and we both said we will be back again. Staff were friendly and there were some very nice bits in the shop, we were impressed overall.”
“Nice Walk down to old village, Enjoyable trip. YO179TB was the postcode for the carpark. Free entry.”
“Absolutely fantastic, historical town.. Always worth a visit very popular.. Many fine dining spots, great bars and amazing race course.”
“Oak Road Playing Fields are very large there is about five different Fields. The edge of the playing fields at the back goes right up to the river Hull and you can walk along the River bank occasionally seeing the odd boat. It's a great place for walking dogs. It's not exactly a playground for children no roundabouts or swings, the fields are mainly used for sport and exercise. There is the decent size to car park, it's great place to get out and about in the fresh air and some large green Open Spaces, so few places like this in the city.”
“Great place for a leisurely walk or bike ride”
“Always a little pretty area for a walk. There is a little ‘wildlife’ walk around circuit at the top ( last time I went it was over grown but it looked like some cutting had been done recently?)With the well being right on the old railway track it’s a lovely place for a walk that can lead in a few directions. Picture taken from the top of St. Helen’s well on the corner.”
“Lovely place and an haven for wildlife and wildfowl, it is a shame the discarded litter and abandoned fishing equipment. possibly the site should have more restricted access or more surveillance.”
“Our first visit to our home town in 6 years so we made the most of getting to see all the changes that have happened. Sorry to see that Dudley the donkey has been removed but hopefully he'll be back before long. The forces memorials are excellent.”
“Lovely area and lots of events on. Well served by buses, car park nearby in Princes Quays and elsewhere n town. Nearby city shops and eateries.”
“Ashby Ville Nature Reserve is a spacious reserve in a former gravel pit with footpaths and a boardwalk surrounding a large lake. There is a free car park with an information board giving details of the wildlife you will see. It is a great place popular with dog walkers and fishermen.”
“Absolutely, fantastic time had by us all. Firstly we was met by the lovely receptionist who was friendly, approachable and a lovely smile to greet us. We arrived at 4.30pm and left at 7pm. The slides, wave pool and especially the outdoor pool were great fun!!! My nephews and I had the best time. Great offer on at the moment too. £10 an adult £7.50 per child, a bargain. We came away full of smiles. A school night like no other. We will certainly be back again next year.”
“Little cafe outside is amazing sells nicely cooked food the sandwiches are cheap and you can’t go wrong about £5 for a sausage, bacon, egg, cheese and mushroom sandwich. Beaut scran”
“Absolutely love it here. It’s the best homemade food around. We went in on Sunday for a break from cooking. We booked a table and it was good job we did as it was busy. Nevertheless everything was spot on as usual the staff were attentive and very friendly. The food was second to none. So Thank you all, See you again soon”
“Always enjoy a meal here and last night was no exception. We took advantage of the 14.95 three course meal and had Chicken Bhuna and Beef Balti, it was beautiful. Really friendly and helpful staff too who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend a visit here.”
“Living in Brough there are only two Indian restaurants and both of them are very hit and miss. The last time we ordered food from one of them it actually put us off getting an Indian take away for months!!! Then one of our mates recommended Raj Tandoori and the food was absolutely spot on. Really tasty, full of flavour, the meat was fresh, and I really enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were really polite also I will definitely be going again soon.”
“Stayed here in may with my partner and 3 year old son and we loved it! The weather made it even better as it was lovely all week! Unfortunately my son wasn’t feeling well, however we managed to do so much whilst there! The only thing we felt let it down was the food as we felt it was basic, however next time we’ll opt for self catering. A lovely first proper family holiday”
“Amazing little zoo - passionate staff, engaging talks, happy animals We had such a wonderful time at this little zoo! From the moment we arrived the experience felt so personal and special. Leah was amazing throughout our visit, she was so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the animals. During the feeding sessions she not only shared fantastic facts but also gently challenged some negative preconceptions people may have about certain animals, helping us to view them in a new light. It was very quiet when we visited, and so the talks and feedings were almost like a private tour. Leah made time for so many questions and explained things in such an engaging way. I loved seeing how many of the animals were rescued and now being given proper care. It's a small zoo, but there's so much to see - we were happily exploring for about two hours. Many of the animals are free-roaming, and if you are patient and respectful they may choose to come very close to you - we got to see tortoises, macaws, stick insects, golden pheasants and iguanas so close up, it was brilliant. The enclosures are thoughtfully designed with lots of hiding spaces, and the signs are all genuinely interesting. Overall fantastic value for money and such a positive experience, I think it was the highlight of our holiday. Animals are clearly well cared for and the staff are outstanding.”
“Nice polite and friendly staff , easy to get in to , got most things you'd expect in there , also sells clothes and things from Pep n Co .”
“Been getting food from here for 10 years, especially when my dad was still alive. He would get food here on a Friday before coming home. The chaps are friendly and good is good.”
“Best Poundland we've been to for a while! Plenty of space in the aisles, lovely air conditioning, lots of choice of products and very clean. Easily accessible. Member of staff counting customers in/out. Had a HUGE range of face masks and hand sanitizer, as well as antibacterial cleaning products. Includes a Pep & Co section to the rear of the store which stocks male, female and children clothing”
“Never had a bad experience with the fish bar or kingswood pizza! Food is cooked to perfection with a lot of care put into it and you can definitely taste it! The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and to top it off the staff are some of the friendliest I’ve come across 10/10 recommend. Thankyou!”
“Great setting for rugby club, always a vibrant atmosphere. On site Cafe serving drinks and hot food too , check it out”
“Both the service and the food was lovely! I ordered the vegan breakfast and waitress was more than happy to substitute a few items.”
“Awesome little local area that's free to use. Remembering it's cash only at the kiosk. Great that they have small affordable toys, drinks and food available at the kiosk. They also have a toilet/wet room that can be used for all people inc wheelchairs. Be prepared when getting out of the pool that the floor is a little bit slippery when first contact is made :)”
“Must have been the best curry I've ever tasted, I got a Korma and a Bhuna to take away, the staff was very friendly and it's clear that the chef is passionate about giving his customers the best food he can make! I highly reccomend this place, I came all the way from nottingham to give it a try and I was not disappointed. I also highly reccomend the garlic bread, will drive all the way back for more as soon as I get the chance.”
“Really nice even though its a small area, its a loop path and takes around 5 minutes to walk around, in winter/early spring the valley area also fills up with water and brings ducks/swans”
“First time ordering from here, and will definately be ordering again. Food was lovely, Gyros wraps, Sweet Potato fries and the Halloumi fries well worth getting.”
“Always a good experience at Burger King Willerby. Fast service, polite staff, clean restaurant, and consistently good food and hot fries just the way I want it. Highly recommended.”
