“We had a great evening meal here. Hubby had the pie & pint offer, which he loved. The chips he said were divine.I had the butternut squash & lentil Wellington which was so tasty & lovelyfresh veg. Hubby had ice cream for pud & I had the apple & fruit crumble. Again no complaints & all very tasty. The service was brilliant. Only 3 tables used but it was a Monday night & everyone seemed happy with what they had. With permission we also stayed in their carpark in our campervan which was lovely, thank you. Definitely on my to come back to list. Oh dog friendly too but we left our old lady comfy in the van.”

“Always makes you feel welcome. Such a lovely traditional pub with a generous portion of Sunday roast (2 for £26). Good coffee and a good selection of beer. It gets busy on Sunday afternoons, so the advice would be to book a table.”

“Firstly the decor to this beautiful place is amazing, very warm and vibrant. The new landlord is very welcoming and polite. The food is amazing and the chef is very welcoming and polite, it's old fashion values that go along way and this place has it! I would recommend 100% it has a good level of background music, the car park it free, the pub itself is very well set out and clean. We will be visiting on a more regular basis. Keep up the amazing work.”

“We booked as a family group of 11 with accessibility requirements and wanting to bring a dog. Everything was arranged and sorted really easily and nothing was too much trouble. Ruby, who took and managed the booking was great. Abbie who looked after us on the day was amazing. The food was delicious and we all had a thoroughly wonderful time. As it was my birthday, it felt really special to know that everything was taken care of and I didn’t have to think about any of the arrangements. We’ve been several times before for meals out and we’ve always had excellent service and the food has been incredible. Thank you to the whole team”

“Great experience passing thru Leeds and stopping for late lunch at this place. We were having north and called 20 mins ahead of arrival but still took another 20 mins for food to arrive. We had a lamb and chicken karahi, kabuli pulao, chapal kebab, chicken tikka, and lamb chops. Karahis, both on point, exactly what I would expect from an afghan place and reasonably priced, no stupid £30 a kilo here. The chapal kebab are probably the best I've had, super crispy edges, beautifully spiced and seasoned and moist and juicy in side. Chicken tikka was meh, but the lb chops perfectly grilled and simply seasoned. Naan, awesome, and we went thru all naan delivered. We didn't even tell them how many we need they just knew! Kabuli pulao was also great with a generous portion of rice and fall of the bone lamb. Like I said everything was reasonably priced and I would defo stop by again.”

“It was the first time we've been for pie night and it didn't disappoint. The slice of pie was as big as the welcome we received from the friendly polite staff. The food quality was amazing and if you like your pies full of meat you'll love this place. The kids enjoyed their food and cleared their plates as quick as we did, they even asked to come again and for £3 for pie and £3/£2 for fries,mash or veg well definitely be coming again soon.”

“Lovely breakfast buffet. None of the cheap ingredients that you usually get on a buffet, all proper stuff and very tasty. Have as much or as little as you want for £7.99. Unlimited refills on tea and coffee too. Pub was clean and bright with plenty of seating inside and out. Staff very friendly and helpful. No ales on the bar unfortunately (not that I wanted one with breakfast)”

“The team accommodated a large party with only a weeks notice and no deposit. We had plenty of space, the staff were quick and friendly, and somehow all 16 mains came out within 5 minutes of each other! We all loved our main meals. I had the mussels and the sauce they were served with was incredible. We had mixed reviews on the desserts, but honestly that wouldn't stop any of us booking again. We all loved it!”

“Fabulous looking pub with a great choice of food. Had the Holy Cow Pie with chips and peasant it was beautiful. Plenty of steak and mushroom filling and lively pastry. The chips were wonderful and could be swapped for mash if preferred. Had the warm chocolate fudge cake for dessert and I can recommend that too. Thank you very much to the staff who were attentive but not invasive.”

“April 2025 update - new landlords look like they have a plan ... which sound great. Early days but she is crystal clear and the staff are great. March 2024 update - still pretty darn good. Dec 2023 and new management. 1st visit was a big success. Ales were kept perfectly and all staff very friendly. High hopes going forward. Glad to see it both open and busy.”

“We have returned to the Devon after a bad experience in the past due to a booking issue. We thought we would give the place a 2nd chance. The devon and its team did not disappoint. a total of 15 of us. Ben and Kasha did a great job of being attentive to our party despite the pub being extremely busy, they couldnt do enough for us. Food didnt come out all together but we did put this down to us all ordering seperate and at different times, still food was lovely. Great atmosphere and great quiz. we will recommend and book again soon”

“Called here this aft’ with a party of 10 for works Xmas drinks, the atmosphere of this little gem of a pub is fantastic, I spoke to Siobhon having a chat about the establishment and feeling like a proper venue, everything about this from the bar staff, location was simply amazing, we left after 3 hours but decided to call back in after we were ready to call it a night, great experience.”
