“First time going here today, and I’ve never ever seen owt like it!! The place is insane, so so much to do and keep the kids busy all day. We was here from 10.15am till 4.10pm. If it wasn’t for needing to get our train back to Leeds we’d of stayed until the place closed. All the staff were friendly, polite, smiles on their faces. They were there to help if needed! The boys were gutted to go home, and are already dying to come back again!! Thank you for such an amazing day, and for a big well done for all the staff working 21/08/25, you worked your backsides off!! Xx”

Staff were really friendly and enthusiastic, and (shoutout to Elizabeth!) gave us a basic run down of the history of the house and the story of Bagshaw on arrival which was a lovely touch! Three rooms to explore downstairs and three rooms upstairs, my favourite being the Eygpt room! Entry is free, and gift shop is reasonably priced.”

Was able to browse slowly and then the next free staff engaged with us, she asked if she can be of any help and I advised that we had browsed online prior to coming and she was able to show us the different type options and touch , feel, open under store for full experience feel. It was great to visit in store and saw each model of bed and we then selected, proceed to purchase a large double. Though it was close to closing by then the staff did not rush but took their time to ensure we had all that was require to complete our bed purchase and the accessories. There are water activities for those brave enough to try out new things, as well as being brave enough to maybe having a dumping in the very cold water. Or the whole family could go on a boat around the lake.”

“I had a minor surgery at Spire today and the only word I can describe is pleasant. It was my first surgery in the UK and I had no one to come with me as everyone was busy. Katy White, the ward sister made me felt like I had a family member with me throughout the procedure. I told her I was anxious as this is my first time and she made sure I felt safe, checking in on me to the point she was already waiting for me in my room before I came back from the operation theatre. She reminded me of my mom when she gave me post operation care instructions before I left the hospital as she made sure I remember all the steps and such haha. I would also like to mention Sue, Frazer and David who helped me inside the operation theatre. They helped me distract myself from the procedure as I was very anxious. Because of them, it almost felt like I was with my group of friends, talking about Otley run and such. Diane was an angel who took care of my meals. Even though I told her I am not picky, she made sure she goes through all the menu and that I get the best meal suited for my taste. And last but not least, Dr. Ian Beckley. Amazing is an understatement when it comes to him. The surgery was quick, neat and subtle to the point I almost fell asleep. His precise decision making made me feel safe during the surgery and he knew how to build trust between us throughout our interaction. Overall, Spire made my very first surgical experience in the UK a very pleasant experience. :)”
