“Booked morning reviver spa deal. It was a fantastic, relaxing experience. The lady booking me in the spa was welcoming and conscientious and couldn't do enough. In fact all staff(waiting staff, masseuse)were all friendly and helpful. All staff frequently checked everything was ok and were very attentive. The hot stones massage was amazing and the spa facilities were fantastic, especially the outdoor hot tub. The only negative was the open ceiling between the massage rooms, which meant you could hear noises from other rooms. Despite this I would definitely recommend a visit here if you want a relaxing experience.”

They met with us many times in order for us to get the right kitchen. Time was never an issue. Bens experience in this field was clear. He was able to give us advice when we were unsure of anything. We did not just go to Howdens. We met with 3 other kitchen companies. We made an informed decision. We decided that Howdens gave us the best service and the best price for a paint to order kitchen. Our decision was based on the quality of the kitchen and because of the service provided by Ben and Lisa. Thank you Ben and Lisa for being so helpful. We are looking forward to our new kitchen. “Best pub in town! great for old and young people. Really well kept pool table and a lovely homely feel as everyone’s very friendly and warming. Also has a nice little beer garden that’s brilliant for the summer. Great prices and a good location with easy accessible parking and lovely friendly staff. Me and my friends love it here and don’t mind the travel as we live on the other side of town but it’s well worth it! Brilliant pub. :)”

“This is a nice campsite and is well maintained. It is in a good position to explore the local area including York. There is some slight road and air noise but it wasn't enough to bother us. The owner is really nice and willing to help if you need it. The facilities are well maintained . I would recommend getting a fire pit too, they are very nice in the evening.”

“Golden acre is a beautiful park, albeit with some dodgy parking. But the tea room is gorgeous, sit on the terrace if the weather permits or inside the conservatory style tea rooms. Sandwiches are great, good bread and fresh ingredients and accompanying salad. The coffee was good however the flat white was not as strong as my personal taste would prefer. I have not tried the breakfast menu as it stops at 11 or 11:30 and I've only arrived just after. 5 stars if this was good and served all day.”

“We go bowling here regularly and it's great. It's so convenient to be able to book it online and is about the price I would expect. Takes just a moment to speak to the employees at the counter to check in and get your assigned lane. You fill in your own names, choose handedness, and decide whether or not you want bumpers at the machine in your lane. You can order from the food/drinks menu online as well and they bring you your order without any fuss. I didn't personally feel that the VIP addition was better than the regular bowling and the only difference seemed to be that the divider between you and another group was less transparent. In VIP it felt vaguely cramped, too, so unless you really want your privacy, I wouldn't bother. Everything was clean and convenient. My only real criticism is that upon first walking in it was visually overwhelming (as it opens into an arcade) and not immediately clear where to go.”

“We use the Leeds East hotel regularly but our visit this weekend was a really great experience. Young man on reception was very welcoming and professional. A special mention to the lady who put some treats in my daughters room as she heard it was my granddaughters 2nd birthday. What a lovely touch. And finally the lady in the breakfast room who was so lovely with my young granddaughters giving them a chocolate biscuit and a balloon each. This service was really welcomed so thankyou all and apologies I didn’t get names of the people who really made a difference.”

“Haven't stayed in a bedroom here but had a great works Xmas do last Friday. Food was lovely and service was friendly. The DJ additionally played some very good music. Free parking after 18:00 round the corner on Sweet Street which feels safe enough especially as I have an older vehicle. Those who stayed over reported a positive experience with the rooms, the blackout curtains being a godsend on Saturday morning.”

“Good premier inn. Staff are great. Room clean and quiet. Breakfast good. Shame parking is now chargeable, even for disabled customers. Bathroom a bit sweaty sock smelling.
