“Always helpful, always friendly. Our pets have the best care at Castle Vets.”
“Absolutely brilliant dealing with our 2 old english bulldogs”
“We moved to this practice after multiple bad experiences at our last practice and couldn’t be happier. We’ve just had our 1 year old collie spayed and she came home happy even immediately following the procedure. She was clearly well looked after and we were told she had lots of cuddles (which she clearly did, I’ve never seen a dog come out of surgery so happy!). The reception team are always friendly and helpful. There was a mistake with our flea&wormer order but this was fixed within a couple of minutes with no fuss. The team are all very knowledgeable and clearly care a lot about their work. The only downside is parking can be a little tricky as the road is small and there isn’t a lot of spaces.”
“Have been visiting this surgery for a number of years and always found them to be helpful and caring and always give good service”
“Fabulous vets very welcoming experienced staff wouldn’t go anywhere else”

“Always very friendly on reception, hardly ever waiting more than 5 minutes after the appointment time. Vets and nurses are exceptional, and have great advice for any questions and concerns.”
“Lovely little vets, always kind and helpful. Of course, it'd be great if they were open every day, but it is what it is. Pet plan is very helpful, and my Oreo isn't nervous going there at all which is brilliant.”
“Absolutely fantastic! My cat was neutered here and they were so great with him, I was happy knowing he was so well looked after, they kept me updated the whole time and I was able to use the cats protection voucher. With this they did the op and we also had two check ups within the next few weeks which were included in the cost. They also treated him when he had an infection from a cat bite, they were quick and efficient and he made a full recovery. The quality of service you get here for the cost is unbelievable. I’ve recently taken out a pet plan for my dog which is also very affordable considering everything that’s included. The building itself is always clean and the reception staff are kind and very helpful. I’ve had many pets who have been registered at multiple different vets on the Wirral but this is by far my favourite. Can’t recommend them enough!”
“We had to sadly attend on a Sunday morning emergency with our boy Kolo. He was very unwell, but PDSA and the vet and veterinary nurse were just amazing. We had to put kolo to sleep, but they were so kind and considerate and everything I had always dreaded happening never happened. It was so peaceful and kind and humane, I will appreciate that vet forever. Thank you”
“The vet I saw yesterday was amazing. I can’t rate him enough. My dog won’t let anyone near her ears and he was so calm with her and she let him out gel in her ears. She was like a diff dog!! The lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful either. I really hope this vet stays as I will definitely go back if he is there.”
“Friendly service got a flue Jab very busy but fast service staff very helpful”
“Margo cut her leg and required stitches, she had surgery and had two follow up appointments post op. It went very well and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Reasonable competitive price too!”
“Always helpful and efficient. Very friendly nurses and receptionists. I have felt confident with them looking after my pets. -need to get another exotic vet though as vet I have seen with a really poorly guinea pig didn’t seem to know a lot about them.”
“Even when you can't find medication in ANY Boots store, I've had no issues here as even with low stock levels they've been able to order from a supplier for the next day. I find at Boots etc the staff make minimal effort to help, you get a much better service here.”
“Amazing vets, saved my dogs life, couldn’t ask for a better service ❤️”
“Rutland House has been our family's vets for all of our dogs for close to 20 years. They have been exceptional. They have given us practical advice on treatments that are kindest for our dogs and even recommend medications we could get ourselves cheaper than they could prescribe. Always felt listened to and looked after by the vets. They have provided excellent care for our current dog, Dolly, who needs complex treatment for a skin condition that would otherwise have left her in constant discomfort and illness. She's doing great now! And always happy to see the vets, which is nice. And when it sadly come time to put our last two dogs to sleep, Barney and Daisy, they made sure that they were as comfortable as possible, no pain or suffering and with Daisy they gave us invaluable time with her on her last day at home, as the medication they gave us made her as close to her old self as possible, one last time. I will always be grateful for that. Personally, I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. Thank you, Rutland House, for looking after us and our furry family members over the years.”
“Went on a Saturday night. They treated my dog quickly and efficiently. All was fine. They do insurance paperwork for you too which is great. I also witnessed amazing compassion from the lady on reception, I don't recall her name but she is an asset to Vets Now, they should be proud to have her.”
“I can only commend the staff here , I used to come here when it was Higgins , and Simon was there then so I have got know the staff well . They are very helpful and have always been really pleasant towards me , especially Vicky ( who I knew from when she worked in the surgery) I have also got to know Paula as well , who is lovely. In fact all the staff are but I just don't know all their names. They work really hard under a lot of pressure. I also want to thank Nicky for delivering my meds always lovely and has a nice chat , whichi means a lot if you haven't spoken to anyone for days . I would definitely recommend this pharmacy. Thanks everyone for all your hard work muck appreciated.”
“Come from North of Scotland to Rossett for a holiday but forgot some of my med.Went to local pharmacy. There were very helpful to get me sorted out with the drugs I needed Thanks”
“The staff were absolutely brilliant with me & my dog, Eddie. His health declined rapidly over the weekend & I had no choice but to have him put to sleep. From the phone call to when I left they were sympathetic without being gushing. Thank you for making a bad time a little easier Karen”
“When my rescue pup and me were referred to the practice by our vet, walks were so stressful I dreaded taking her out and was close to tears sometimes. I was even considering whether I was the right person for my dog. Working with Isla has been invaluable. She shared her vast knowledge and understanding of dog behaviours which helped me to look at my pups reactive responses in a different way enabling me to relax, develop patience and feel confident when out walking with her. I have felt so supported and understood and am in no doubt that we would not be where we are without Isla’s help. In addition everyone I have spoken to at Behavioural Referrals has been friendly and helpful. Andrea has gone out of her way to sort out the insurance claims making things less complicated for me. I am so grateful to the whole team and highly recommend their services to anyone struggling with dog behaviours.”

“If I could do more than 5 stars I would do! I’ve used this Cattery now 2 times this year since getting my kitten Harlow earlier the same year. Maria is so friendly and helpful to answering any and all questions I had regarding my kitty’s stays in her amazing cat hotel. You can just tell from the first interactions you have with her that she will ensure your kitty has the best stay possible! The Cattery itself is kitted out with loads of play things and spaces for your cat to go to and mess with. It’s a very very clean and organised environment. I love it when I get sent pictures and videos of my Harlows time away. It really helps to calm your nerves and know that your kitty is safe and happy. I also love how Maria also does a disco at night with colourful disco lights and music for all that cats to enjoy. I could honestly go on and on about how amazing this place is! If you need a place for your kitten or cat to stay and are looking for somewhere I would defo recommend here! I can’t wait for Harlows next stay, you’re truly a remarkable and caring woman Maria!”

“Very friendly staff. With a large mixed bull breed I often find people scared of my dog but the staff here were so welcoming. We used hydrotherapy and the specialist was very patient. Will definitely be back.”
“New to the practice and very impressed. Staff are lovely and the vet is very informative. Would highly recommend them.”
“Excellent private vets, when the PDSA are unable or unwilling to help. (That's even if you can get registered as a new member with PDSA) Medivet Anfield are amazing and doesn't cost an arm and a leg like most private veterinary practices. Quite the opposite, relatively cheap, comparatively and the level of care and professionalism provided is above and beyond what you would expect for a practice for the very reasonable prices they charge. I can't express how surprised I was at the level of quality of care provided for my pets. They are amazing and I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. Even over the donation and apparent charitable nature of the PDSA, I'd rather pay a little bit more and have my pets properly looked after by professionals who aren't rushing under pressure and having you wait for ages with sometimes uncertainty about the treatment you will receive. Don't get me wrong. I'm not slating the PDSA as they play a vital role for many people for different reasons. I'm just saying, in my humble opinion, if you have the choice, this vet is preferable for me 100% of the time! 5 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
