“Fantastic local pub that understands its modern clients and loyal Newham past. Love the traditional East End decor that feels home to proper geezers and modern students alike. The dartboard, mix of retro furniture, mosaic & wooden flooring is somewhere I'm definitely coming back too. My darts are accurately inaccurate. The warmth of this part of earthy London is still alive. The fact it sells rich home-made mulled wine next to Guiness, inch's cider and Pravha says a lot. Events space on offer too.”

“Stayed for a couple of days at this property while working with a client. The staff here was outstanding. You expect helpful and courteous, but there was an extra level of helpfulness and kindness to the service provided. We used the business conference services and for a very reasonable price, we had opening coffee/tea service, two catered breaks and a hot buffet lunch - all served in a very, very creative and appealing manner. The level of service from the business services team was superb, even paying attention to when we took breaks to ensure that a meal was shifted if needed. I would love to replicate this property and what they are doing in other locations!”

“Lovely pool, it is split into a main pool and learner pool so that’s nice for swimmers. Lane and general swim available. My daughter has swimming lessons here and the standard of teaching is high. The kids are pushed enough to be competitive but not so much that it’s negative competition. There are windows down two sides of the pool so when the sun is low you get beautiful dappled light in the water which feels lovely to swim in. One of the most unpretentious swimming pools around! Check it out next time you want a swim!”

“Really friendly staff all around, from in the gym to the receptions to life guards. Facilities have always been clean and car park is usually full when I go, however there are always people coming in and out, I find usually on the hr is when spaces open up, at 11 at 12 at 1 etc.”

“First time at this particular PI and the difference between here and the one up the road (London Twickenham Stadium) are poles apart. There is parking but we turned up around 21:00 and I was lucky to find a spot; the car park does serve the Beefeater next door. The front door is automatic which is handy when you have a lot of bags but the inner doors are manual. We were greeted by a friendly, very helpful and enthusiastic member of staff. Our room was on the first floor (no lift) at the front of the building and although there was a busy main road and a bus stop outside it wasn’t that noisy. The room and bathroom seem bigger and as usual the bed is very comfortable. The wardrobe/ shelving unit is lovely and big, easily fits 4 days of our clothes and four big shelves for all your other bits. In this PI the rooms have A/C and having bus stops outside is an added bonus. Only negative is that the toilets don’t flush very well.”

“Perfection! Absolute experts. Highly recommended. We just had a 12m x 6m outdoor pool designed and constructed by Falcon Pools (finished in May 2023). Tiled with electric pool cover, UV cleaning system and swim jet. Our experience with the company and with every member of the team has been wonderful - they are truly experts in their field and more than that, absolutely charming people. We had a high water table, a slope and running sand (ie: difficult conditions) - I'm not sure any other pool company could have coped. Falcon has decades of experience, across all types of conditions - so they overcame every challenge and delivered an absolutely stunning end-product. Falcon offers an ongoing pool maintenance service if you wish, we signed up, and enjoy having a weekly check-up and clean - it's not necessary though and you can always DIY if you wish. It's all so easy and pleasurable dealing with this company - exactly what you want when making an expensive purchase! They are very booked-up (currently building around 45 pools I understand), so get in quickly with your enquiry and don't jump-in with another provider until you've at least met with Falcon and seen one of their pools. “Shrek’s Adventure London is such a fun and entertaining experience for both kids and adults! The interactive journey through Far Far Away is full of laughter, surprises, and great storytelling. The actors are fantastic — energetic, funny, and really make you feel part of the adventure. The sets and special effects are very well done, bringing the world of Shrek and his friends to life. It’s well-organized, family-friendly, and full of photo opportunities. A perfect attraction for families looking for something magical and different in the heart of London!”

“We missed our flight, so BA put us up here for the night along with a lot of other people. It was very comfortable. The rooms were clean. It wasn't fancy, but it was nice. They had a buffet for dinner. I thought it was the best meal I had while we were on this 3 week tour. I think the staff was overwhelmed by so many people arriving at the same time.”

“Fantastic splash park, well maintained. We visited over the weekend for the first time 2 weeks ago. Would definitely recommend. Even though it was very busy, the splash pool area could manage the amount of people and it didn't seem overwhelming. Free to enter. It is gated with only 1 gate open so helpful with families with multiple kids. There was a splash park supervisor with a highvis jacket. There are public toilets located within the gates which were clean. Within the gates is the splash park itself, public toilets and a small kids play area with swings.”

“Ah! What can I say! Forrest Hill Pools, is definitely my A1 in the Better Gym branches. A breathe of fresh air! Not only are the staff lovely, but the gym itself is alway spotless! Cleaners regularly cleaning and keeping the place hygienic, customers respecting the facilities by also keeping it clean and putting equipment away. Classes are always great! Darren is a fantastic trainer, always attentive of everyone in the group and always encourages you. Caroline who is on reception always has a wonderful smile on her face when you enter and greets you warmly, just a great start to your day especially if you’re like me who will wake up at 5am get washed and dressed and drive 30-40 mins to get here, you’re drained as it is, then you step in and are welcomed by lovely staff! It’s worth your travels! I haven’t been to this branch in a while, not fault of there own just circumstantial, but I will be returning shortly as they are thus far my favourite!!! Other than going to the gym and classes I haven’t used the pool, so I can’t comment on it, but will soon. They do junior gym which is great too, my son gets to come along with me at times before our home school hours which he enjoys. I also enjoy the virtual spin class. My only wish is that there was parking facilities but unfortunately there isn’t any but one disabled parking bay. Other than this there is nothing I can say against this Better branch. Well done to all the staff in this branch for keeping up good standards that is expect from your customers. Thank you because it makes the experience a good one.”

“Perfect overnight stay, always delightful and attentive staff, check in always impeccable, the lounge a delight and breakfast service, spot on, again, staff are brilliant. Huge comfortable beds, gorgeous bed linen and the most sumptuous fluffy towels, immaculate bathrooms, I always feel I should clean the wash hand basin after brushing my teeth, and you can’t hear the aircraft even though they skim the roof. Highly recommended”

“Great area for kids of all ages. Quite expensive if you have a couple of children. It's pay by the hour. Big inflatable bouncy with ball pits. Children seem to like it. Disabled entrance and suitable for wheelchair buggies. Cafe on site serving tea, coffees, and chicken nuggets, chips, etc. Disabled access to toilets. Parking is free and easy with lots of spaces.”

“We are regular guests at the Sutton Holiday Inn and have always received a warm welcome from reception and the restaurant staff. The breakfast choice is adequate but good and the restaurant choice is varied. There is also plenty of parking which is free for guests.”

“I've always wanted to swim in this pool since visiting during the Olympics. Booked for the 50m competition pool via the Everyone Active app. At £7 per adult this is great value for money and comparable to any other leisure centre. The changing village was clean, plenty of hot showers, and the lockers (£1 returnable) were well maintained. The pool was clean and the temperature was good for continual lane swimming. Great experience and will certainly return!”

“Mikael and yulia are very enthusiastic and positive every day. Both run really good classes and are always around to help with technique or equipment! Highly recommend this gym, things are constantly improving - equipment is being changed, new equipment, new spin bikes. I know some reviews are harsh but it is the best gym in the area. Highly recommend”

“Stayed with my wife and son before travelling. Room was fantastic, we had a family room on the first floor. Two queen beds. Used the converted room on the ground floor that used to be the pool area (now a bar) which was really lovely. Great start to the holiday. Would recommend over other hotels we’ve stayed in at Heathrow. Service given 4 stars as we received slow service in the bar and check in was a little difficult due to a language barrier with one of the members of staff”

“Cons: bad mobile reception once you are in. Layout is a bit of a mess.. you almost need a Thorpe park style map to help you navigate around. No steam room, shower gels / conditioner. I guess it’s a better gym so shouldn’t expect it.. All that said, still a 5 star review… why. Pros: has lots of varied equipment. Swimming pool is large. Reasonably priced.”

This isn’t the first time she has attended to me, and each experience with her has been nothing short of excellent. The very first time I came here, the lift wasn’t working and I had very heavy luggage. I was stressed, but Rashmi handled the situation with so much patience, kindness, and calmness. She reassured me, made me feel completely at ease, and even arranged a room closer so that it wouldn’t be difficult or tiring for me. That thoughtful gesture has stayed with me. Since then, every time I’ve returned, Rashmi has always shown the same level of care, professionalism, and genuine kindness. “Our pool is without doubt the best thing we have ever bought for the family. We use it everyday, the heater and filter system we bought with it is fantastic and so quiet. It looks so smart in our garden and is the talk of the neighbour hood! The wood looks amazing and is so solid. The rubber liner is soft to touch. We have had 6 people in it so far and there is still lots of room to move about in. It is a lovely height perfect for the kids and adults. I would Highley recommend these guys to buy a pool from, the transaction and information about what else we needed was amazing. Thank you guys so very much. A happy family means a happy mum!”

“Our son had a fantastic 1st year at a nursery at Kids in Motion, where he learned a lot, he made friends and he got very close to the staff. We moved away from the area so we couldn’t really keep him there longer, but even though more than 2 months have passed, he still mentions Alice and the rest of the staff. The team is doing a great job with many fun, educational activities and celebrations planned. We loved receiving photos every week and getting a good amount of information on our baby’s development.”
