“The whole stay was great and very relaxing. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful view. The spa was beautiful and spotless, with excellent facilities — a large indoor pool, several jacuzzis, steam rooms, saunas, and showers. The massage was amazing, although the jets in the big indoor/outdoor jacuzzi weren’t working during our visit. We also dined at the Michelin-starred restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience — delicious food and excellent service. I would suggest organizing guest arrivals a bit better, as parking is quite far from the hotel entrance, which can be uncomfortable with luggage. Also, it would be great if the hotel offered guests a jacket or cover-up for walking outside to the spa in winter, since you have to go outdoors in your bathrobe. Overall, a beautiful hotel and a very relaxing experience!”

“We had a great room with nice and high ceilings. Towels, Tea / Coffee and fridge all provided. Super comfortable beds. Breakfast had to be pre-booked before 8pm but it was exceptional, the chef's service and food was perfect. Actually had one of my best hot chocolates ever! We had dinner the night before really large list of options fully catered for veggies and vegans which was great to see. Would recommend staying here and having some food too. Not much around for convenience shops so stop on the way in for what you may need.”

“Welcomed by member of staff and taken straight to table. Drinks offered immediately. Food very well presented and where applicable piping hot. Sausage and Mash and Fish and Chips both delicious. Seasonal vegetables well cooked. Prices seemed very reasonable for the Reading/Basingstoke area. Overall a very enjoyable lunchtime experience.”

“Spire Ridge have lovingly looked after our cat whenever we go away since he was a kitten. We were unsure about catteries based on the others we had visited, but then we found Spire Ridge which have amazing large indoor pens, where our boy is always happy and comfortable, and we can leave him there knowing he's getting the care and attention he needs whether we're just gone for a weekend or for a couple of weeks.”

“We took a party of 47 oldies and volunteers for a day trip to Henley on 11 June - a river boat trip along the Henley regatta course and on to the Baskerville Arms in Shiplake for a wonderful lunch and a relaxing afternoon in their beautiful pub garden before the coach trip back home to Farnham. Graham and Gill were so helpful in advance of our visit - creating a special menu and endeavouring to meet specific needs. And on the day all food was served in good time and efficiently by a team of happy and willing staff with everybody getting what they had advanced ordered. So many positive comments from our oldies - they want to go back next year!! Graham also ensured that the coach could park right outside the pub making life so much easier for everyone. Thank you for a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ service and meal.”

“What a delightful experience - pre Christmas family lunch on Sunday 14th December. The new owners have done a great job. Food was excellent, service equally welcoming. Have been visiting the Stoke Row area for around 15years now - this was the best lunchtime/ dinner we have had - great value and quality. Thanks”

“We went for an open day. Viewing the facilities which include a gym, swimming pool, croquet lawn, restaurants - it’s a fabulous setting in the river. The open day gives you a chance to see what you can have for a yearly membership. You can also book the venue for weddings and/or parties . It’s a beautiful venue”

“We came for afternoon tea today with my girlfriends. This was my second visit for afternoon tea. The food is delicious! The sandwiches are filled well and very tasty, The scones were fluffy and light. The desserts delectable. This really is a hidden gem for afternoon tea. I often have afternoon tea in London and this is definitely at that standard or better! Fabulous service. The staff are polite, helpful and really make this a 5 star experience. We will definitely be visiting more, especially as I now know that I can bring my dog in the Bar area and have afternoon tea or a meal there. Full of praise for a well executed 5 star service.”

“My dogs have stayed at Avalon several times, most recently over this summer. They are fantastically caring at Avalon and understand the needs of my dogs who are of 2 very different breeds. My older boy has been to other kennels previously and never seemed happy then but at Avalon he comes back happy and looking great. They love the staff and whenever we drop off they are both happy to go straight in and greet whoever meets them - I trust my dog’s opinions!! I travel 90 mins from home to take them to Avalon- they really are great. Even got sent a photo to put my kind at rest that they were fine while I was away for a couple of weeks.”

“I'm so glad that I have found that place for my business when I'm going away. It's transparent. You get what you can see on the website. It's beautifully built with the few options of boarding. It's very clean, and you just want to sit there and watch all the business having a great time there while under Ashleigh care. One of my bunnies is disabled and Ashleigh managed to make my bunny there comfortable and stress free by adopting the place to her needs. I can't thank her enough. I very highly recommend that place. ❤️❤️❤️”

“I cannot recommend Reggie's Retreat highly enough! My rabbit, Strawb, had the most wonderful stay thanks to Sophie's amazing care. From the very beginning, Sophie was incredibly responsive and addressed any questions or concerns I had. During Strawb's stay, she even provided updates whenever we wanted to check in, which put our minds at ease. It was clear that Strawb was in the best hands. Sophie's knowledge and love for animals was evident in everything she did. “Our Heidi loves going to see her friends at Bertie & Friends. Everytime i take her, she can't wait to get to the door, tail wagging and bum wiggling. Emma and Martin are amazing - so kind, caring and loving with her and all the dogs. Their place is a home from home, a lovely set up for pooches. I can't recommend enough! “It was our first time putting our 8 month kitten in a cattery and we were very happy leaving him with Dee. He was settled in straightaway and Dee reassured us while away by sending an update and photo. Jesse came home very happy and relaxed and we would definitely use this cattery again in the future :)”

“We have been having training sessions with Lisa for our 1 year old dachshund Eevee, she has been fantastic! Showing us all the different ways to help Eevee cope with all the things that scare her (which is everything!) and to help her become a more confident dog and in turn help us become more confident owners! Lisa is very honest, saying when things are going well and when things aren’t working but then working with us to come to a solution that works best for Eevee. If you want someone to understand your dog and help train them, then Lisa is the person for you!”

“I cannot recommend Helen enough! Our rescue gets very stressed with change so it was important for us to have someone who she’d like and who we can trust to take good care of her when we’re at work. She immediately felt at home at Helen’s and sees Helen’s place as her second home. All the dogs there are well socialised with each other and have great dynamics, they’re all best pals. We went through a few doggy day cares and we’ve never felt fully comfortable leaving our girl there, with Helen we’re completely at ease.”

“Our dog has been going to Basil's for 2 years now and she absolutely loves it! We wanted to make sure she was in a comfortable and loving home environment as she can be nervous, and Basil's ticked all the boxes. Natalia cares for each dog as if they were her own and our furbaby is always super excited to get to daycare in the morning, and suitably worn out in the evening!”

“Phil worked with my dog to build up his confidence in being taken for walks (after having had another dog walker where he'd developed a fear of the van). Not only did Phil build up Otis' confidence, he built up mine, with photos, video clips to show me how Otis was progressing. Otis loves Phil and when I was taking Otis for a walk, I got dragged over to Phil by an excited Otis. I couldn't recommend highly enough!”

“Excellent cattery, they not only look after your cat but make a fuss of them as well with lots of attention and cuddles. Our cat has stayed a few times now and is totally comfortable with his visits. He saunters straight out of his carrier into the room like it's the most casual thing in the world.”

“We had an absolutely wonderful stay , it is beautifully decorated thorough out, very peaceful. Extremely comfortable. We also got treated to breakfast, which gave an extra touch of home from home. We were visiting for my sisters big birthday party, which was a stones throw away. It’s a little gem, and now we’ve found it we’re hoping to use it each visit. We took our little doggy too.
