“Needed hotel as visiting family near by, this was in an excellent location. Alsager is a lovely town, we visited a lovely bakers and had a lovely lunch. Also pubs and couple of restaurants nearby for evening meals. If you like national trust, there's a quaint place called Little Morton Hall worth a visit. The hotel was run by lovely people, and the breakfast can't be faulted. We will definitely stay there again”

    The Wheatsheaf Inn, Onneley

    ★★★★☆ 4.5
    Open

“Fabulous location a stones throw from the golf course and cricket ground. Really close to Newcastle and not a million miles from attractions like Waterworld or Alton Towers. The main draw though is the strawberry picking nearby. You cant escape the rural location when the 12 and 13 year old tractor boys walk around. The food though and the decor are first class. Whilst sitting waiting we watched 10 or 12 different meals come out and we could have ate every single one. A big recommendation from me.”

“Alex and team always look after Pip so well. We use both the Day Care and boarding and know how safe and happy Pip is when she is here. Alex’s knowledge of dogs is exceptional, has supported us in how to adapt to support Pip at home but also created such a great environment for the dogs. Thank you for always providing such a safe space !”

However there was loads to choose from and portions were very big. Presentation was lovely and the service by the waitress GABBIE was five star!! Very polite and attentive. Goostrey Pharmacy

    ★★★★☆ 4.3

“Professional friendly and efficient. Everything that is lacking at the main chemist pharmacy in Holmes Chapel. After a very stressful experience there I went to Goostrey and was treated with courtesy and served quickly. However the pharmacist did take time to register my details which meant that when I absentmindedly left one of my packages on the counter he was able to ring me - which he did. Very very impressed!”

“Stayed here for a week for a business trip. The rooms were excellent as were the staff. On the last night we experienced a power cut which was out of the hotels control. They moved us to a different hotel which was made very easy by the hotel manager. The staff were brilliant and handled the whole situation. It would have been understandable with so many people to deal with if someone lost their rag. But everyone remained calm. Fantastic staff. Would very highly recommend”

“Ordered a few kennel doors from this place. As this the only company That sells kennel door panels with left hand side openings. The delivery took a little bit longer. But once arrived we noticed The quality of the door panels were much better the hinges are better quality than others who sell the same items in the uk. So the wait was worth it. Will be ordering another 5 very soon. Thanks”

    Tesco Express

    ★★★★☆ 4.1

“I was a customer in the store today and felt it was important to leave a review after witnessing an unpleasant incident that was handled far better than it should ever have needed to be. I saw and heard two customers who were running around the shop shouting, laughing, and loudly mocking a conversation involving a young child. They were treating the store like a playground, disturbing staff and other customers. From close proximity, it was noticeable that they had a strong smell consistent with recent substance use, and their behaviour was erratic and confrontational. A member of staff intervened and asked them to stop, explaining that their behaviour was inappropriate. Instead of listening, they escalated things — repeatedly justifying mocking a child in a local supermarket, laughing it off as a “joke,” and verbally abusing the staff member. I clearly heard him being insulted, including being called a “fat bastard.” He asked them to leave at-least half a dozen times before they finally did. But not before this colleague agreed they could buy what they had and leave, after paying they then returned to the colleague to further harass him. After the incident, I spoke briefly to the colleague involved. I always forget his name; but he was a young man with brown hair — someone I hadn’t seen in the store for a while but who I remember as always courteous and friendly. He explained that the conversation they were mocking was with his nephew. What stood out was that he made the point directly to the customers it shouldn’t matter who the child was — no one should be mocked or harassed in a supermarket, especially children. No supermarket staff member should ever have to put up with behaviour like this. What I saw was someone standing his ground firmly in the face of sustained provocation. As a customer, I actually found it reassuring to see bullying behaviour challenged instead of ignored. I’ve been coming to this store for years and have always received great service. If I had been spoken to the way that colleague was, the outcome would have been far worse, — his restraint and professionalism deserve praise.”

    Boots

“Visited the Grand Junction Crewe Boots today and the customer service we received from Karolina was superb. She was so helpful and very friendly. She was manning the till area on her own, and there was not any other staff around, but she still took time to help us with an item that was not readily available on the shop floor. She checked stock, she sourced the item from the back storage and was just so pleasant and smiley. A real credit to Boots. Nothing was too much trouble, and she took an interest in our plans. What a refreshing change. Amazing customer service. Thank you Karolina.”

“Our dog, Bonnie, loves going. She goes in in the morning very happily and then, when I pick her in the evening, she comes home satisfied after lots of exercise and socialising. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and seem to care very well for in the dogs in their care. They also made it their business to get to know my dog and her quirks when we first started going.”
