“Fantastic Sunday roast. Huge portions, tender beef, all the sides full of flavour- we will be back!”
“We had a nice lunch here and the cafe was really prrety. The staff were friendly and helpfull, and they also kept the place clean. The prices are affordable and the food and cakes are really tasty. A quiet and cute cafe to spend some time, and its also spacious. It was written that in some nights they have poetry so it would be interesting to visit then and hear some poems”
“We had a family lunch Mara was our waitress lovely service food was fab. Great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.”
“What a lovely restaurant location staff food all outstanding. We went for brunch and the menu had a really nice selection something for all tastes and it was obvious high quantity ingredients were used. The photos are the French toast which was incredible & the Bracebridge big breakfast so full of flavour. The staff were welcoming friendly and attentive Certainly going to go back for an evening meal”
“Went for lunch on Sunday 21st Dec, we went as a walk-in, after a morning of Xmas shopping. The staff were really friendly and welcoming; and even more welcome was the superb roast beef dinner; my wife had Cod-that was equally delicious. My lunch was washed down with a cracking Bordeaux Premiere. The Hotel du Vin is a really great building (former red brick Victorian Eye hospital) so is really characterful; and located in the Colmore Business district of the city centre; so architecturally and aesthetically, one of nicer parts of ‘town’. The bistro is beautifully decorated without being overly grand and pretentious, so a really nice relaxed atmosphere. Thank you to the waitress who allowed us to take extra Xmas crackers for our kids! Merry Xmas!”
“My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Bull, the portions were genuinely massive, the lamb was the best ive tasted, i had chicken madras which was nice and spicy. We didnt even check the bill as it was a very reasonable price!”
“Popped into the White Lion at lunchtime break following recommendations from friends and I was not disappointed. Lovely place and the service from Becky was excellent nothing too much trouble. The White Lion burger was just amazing best in city centre. The place itself had a lovely atmosphere and a unique look and feel. Would wholeheartedly encourage everyone to visit and you will return time after time as I will be.”
“Absolute friendly staff, and top notch amazing fresh food. I ordered 2 small burgers and a zinger burger and Jalapeno bites. All food came extremely fresh. And food tasted amazing. I would rate the smash burgers in being my top 5 within whole of uk. Prefect flavour”
“A* Always a pleasure to visit Asha’s Birmingham, Food is always superb! Shahan was our waiter for the afternoon and was attentive and very helpful. He was superb in recommending Summer cocktails and I loved my Raspberry Summer mix “Rickshaw Fizz””
“What a great Indian grill restaurant this, The food is delicious, freshly prepared with the tastiest spices, all the grill platters are amazing from salmon, king prawns, fish pakora, and lamb chops and chicken served on a bed of onions and served on a sizzling platter absolutely delicious, The service from the all the staff is outstanding, they work so hard to keep everyone happy we cannot thank them enough And the drinks are not rip off prices either Thanks again for a great evening.”
“All negative reviews are too old and outdated to apply to this store now! It's become such a hotspot and has really grown into it's features. A super efficient team of friendly staff gave me the BEST Chinese takeaway I've ever had. Their oil looked super clean and regularly new. Their menu is so diverse and each meal tastes as good as the last. Can't wait to try again. Also, their social media got me to come lol. LOVE IT!”
“I went to this lovely place, and the food was really tasty, nicely presented, and there was plenty on the plate (which I appreciate). I had a starter, main course, and dessert, and honestly, I was stuffed. The only thing they could work on is the timing of bringing out the dishes – having more consistent gaps and serving things in the right order would make it even better.”
“New American Diner themed food outlet opened. Fantastic atmosphere, very competitively priced and most importantly the food is unbelievably tasty. The best smashed burgers and stone-baked pizzas around. And the fries are scrumptious. Infernoz will very quickly be one of the best eating spots in Birmingham.”
“We love this Indian Restaurant & use it regularly, Sonny always gives us a warm Welcome & finds us a table, The food is of a very high quality & so delicious. Asif the waiter is always smiling & professional, they make a great team & all the staff work so hard. You won’t be disappointed if you visit this amazing restaurant.”
“It's funny how things turn out. I picked up the phone and with more than a touch of trepidation based on the fact that it was a mere three days away I asked of the availability of tables for mothers day. Fully booked mate, said the far-to-pleased-with-himself fellow on the other end of the phone which is how I came to be phoning instead The Fingerpost and making the same enquiry. Some context I think is required here. I'm in Bristol - the old folks live in Pelsall - and I needed proximity for those old legs. When the local failed, The Fingerpost squeezed us in and even allowed us to forego their required deposit based on our inability to pop in based as we are in the SW. We'd have to drive now but one of us not drinking was a small price to pay for not having to roast our chicken today. And then, as we enter, my father sees a starter which in his 80 something mind is somehow converted into a main course so as we're seated he's already convinced he's leaving here hungry. I'll cut to the chase. The staff here work hard. They are the epitomy of courtesy and good manners. We were asked at least twice if we needed recharges on our drinks (always a great sign in a busy restaurant since it means someone is paying attention to the important things). The food (pre-ordered) was served promptly and was really good value. Personally I had calamari, cod then chocolate mousse - the restricted mothers day menu playing slightly towards the modern but still catering for the traditionalists (parents both choosing soup, chicken and crumble). For a pub lunch it was difficult to fault but I think had there been one (a fault that is) the staff would have puts the clocks back for us so keen they were to please. A great meal and I fully recommend you give the place a go if you're in the area. And yes. My father had to eat his words, though ironically not all of his lunch, as he failed most miserably to consume the largest roast he declared he'd ever set his eyes upon.”
“I went into Maliks with a friend to check out the new breakfast menu, and I was very happy that I did. Shakshukka with home made paratha, and my friend had the curried chickpeas and potato which came with a lovely spicy pickle accompanyment, and a delightful sweet halva too. Both dishes were freshly made and were definitely worth the visit. Friendly staff, superb food. The staff are extremely helpful, and are pleased to help. Portion sizes are very good. The breakfast menu is worth the visit, so if you enjoy indian food and want to try something different, give Maliks a visit, however they also do an English breakfast too [please see picture attached for the menu]. Breakfast is served 8am - 11.30pm so this gives you plenty of time. Free car park just over the road makes visiting easy, cant praise this visit highly enough. Definitely on my regular breakfast place to eat. Not expensive either which is even better.”
“Been here twice now and both times had a lovely experience. The food is lovely and the staff are too. The lunch menu is great value for money where you get a main a side and a refillable drink for £10! I definitely recommend the beef burger it’s lively. Would definitely come back again.”
“The Former John Lewis Tamworth: A Retail Elysium Six Stars (A Monument to Taste and Partnership) Before the era of rapid fulfillment and joyless, beige boxes, there stood a retail institution in Tamworth that transcended mere shopping: the Former John Lewis Store. Now, in its regrettably repurposed state (whatever that may be), it remains a ghost of true consumer nobility—a building that whispers tales of thread counts, tasteful kitchenware, and the sacred principles of staff partnership. The Architecture of Aspiration The exterior, often a masterful combination of dependable cladding and generous fenestration, did not scream "SALE!" It offered a silent, knowing nod of quality. This structure was designed to hold not just stock, but dreams—dreams of owning a kettle that cost slightly more than you initially budgeted, or a pillow that would dramatically improve your quality of life (and yet, somehow, it always did). The very air around the building smelled subtly of quality canvas and long-term financial planning. The Sacred Customer Journey Inside, the experience was a meditative process. You didn't just buy a shirt; you invested in a relationship with a garment guaranteed to last longer than your average car lease. The layout was a complex, multi-tiered labyrinth of muted colours and solid wood, designed to gently guide you toward a purchase you truly deserved. The staff—or Partners, as they were known—were not employees, but highly trained emotional support specialists who could discuss the pros and cons of Egyptian cotton versus Pima with theological certainty. And the escalators! They moved at the exact, measured speed required for deep contemplation of your purchasing choices, offering a glorious, panoramic view of the lighting department—a shimmering, aspirational valley of brushed chrome. A Legacy Repurposed Today, as this magnificent structure stands, sadly repurposed, we must remember its heritage. It is no longer just a building; it is a museum of understated luxury. Its foundations hold the memory of countless tasteful purchases, and its ceiling tiles still echo the faint, hopeful sound of a loyalty card being swiped. It stands as a profound reminder that retail, at its peak, was not transactional; it was transformational. We salute this former temple of taste. May its new life, whatever mundane purpose it now serves, be forever blessed by the ghost of high-quality porcelain and the spirit of a generous returns policy.”
“The food here is beautiful. It's always ready within 15 mins when we call and we've never had a bad meal.”
“I've lived near here for over 2 years and walked past this place many, many times but, last week, I was handed a flyer as I walked past offering two breakfasts with drinks for £13.50. We went and tried it out and I can honestly say that it was the best breakfast we have found in, or near, Kidderminster. We had a traditional English breakfast with orange juice and coffee. Everything was cooked extremely well, the plates were hot and the staff were friendly. To test it out, as to whether we were just first time lucky, we went back a few days later and it was just as good. Scrambled eggs were done to perfection, as were the poached ones. It's good value, even at full price but, at the promotional price, it's amazing. Bistrot Pierre will be seeing a lot more of us in the future.”
“The course and mini golf are clean and kept well, but the driving range is the best! Drinks and snacks and plenty of interactive options whilst you have a go. Worth a try even if your not a golfer, its just a good bit of fun!”
“Amazing food, tasting fresh and well cooked. If that's one complaint, it's the lack of air con, but only needed in the heatwaves, otherwise temperature is fine”
“Very friendly staff for a quiet cuppa and small lunch with tasty, vegan options, great atmosphere plus not overly expensive. Would love to come back again, nice addition to the highstreet!”
“We have just been to The Mount for a birthday meal and what a meal we had. The service was superb and the food was amazing. I had the Scotch Egg, Ribeye Steak and Crème Brûlée, would definitely recommend and go back again!”
“10/10 have recommended this place to everyone I know who loves sushi/Japanese food! The restaurant itself is lovely, the staff are very friendly and attentive and every single dish we got was delicious! No complaints at all!”
“Such a lovely place to eat, celebrated my 22nd birthday with my twin sister and most of my family. Food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming and polite. You are allowed your own drinks (alcohol) and we gave them some birthday cake to those who served us, was such a lovely place to go, for any one family, friends or partners or all three :) Recommended highly!”
“Booked a table for 13 people and was Greeted warmly and taken to our seat to await the arrival of the rest of our party. Whilst waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, we were given the menu to peruse. Our waiter was very hospitable. The service and food were excellent. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable. Can not fault anything. Highly recommend this establishment.”
“A regular here at The Drakes Drum. The staff are amazing and it’s such a friendly place. Great service today from Cole & Laura. Food was amazing as always! X”
“Review for Three Church Road Restaurant I had an incredible dining experience at Three Church Road Restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail truly stood out, making every bite a delight. The service was exceptional, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. A special mention to Vinny, who was brilliant—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our meal even more enjoyable. His recommendations were spot on, and his professionalism added to the overall experience. The only minor downside is that parking at the location can be a bit tricky. However, there’s plenty of parking nearby, so it’s not a major issue. Overall, Three Church Road is a fantastic place for a meal, whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a great night out. Highly recommended!”
