“A Hidden Gem in Birmingham - The Palace Hotpot I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Palace Hotpot in Birmingham, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed with warm, friendly service that set the tone for the entire meal. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, always ready to explain the menu and offer recommendations, which made our experience even better. Now, let's talk about the food—simply outstanding. The variety of fresh ingredients available for the hotpot was impressive, with a wide selection of meats, vegetables, and premium broths to choose from. The ingredients were top-quality, and you could really taste the freshness in every bite. The broths had rich, complex flavors that were perfect for dipping and cooking the ingredients. Whether you prefer a spicy kick or something milder, there’s a broth for every taste. What really stood out was the pricing—affordable without compromising on quality. It’s not easy to find such a great balance of value and taste in Birmingham, but The Palace Hotpot nails it. Overall, I’d highly recommend The Palace Hotpot to anyone looking for a fun, delicious dining experience in Birmingham. The combination of great service, amazing food, and reasonable prices makes it a standout choice. Can’t wait to return!”

“First time I came here to celebrate my friend’s 60th birthday. Very easy to find, right opposite pigeon park, where St Philip’s Cathedral is. Name of restaurant is big and clear, and can’t be missed. I arrived early and was greeted by Astrida, who was lovely! I was holding a big bunch of flowers, which she kindly put away for me and she instantly made me feel very welcome. Tamarah was also very friendly. As I sat and waited for my friends to arrive, I was approached by every member of staff, who asked me if I wanted a drink whilst I was waiting. The customer service was just brilliant! The interior of the restaurant is very stylish and the toilets are posh! The only negative comment I have is that I ordered a main meal (I can’t remember what it was called, but it was newly added to the menu - pasta, white sauce). The proportion of this meal was not enough for it to be served as a main meal. It was something you would expect if you ordered a starter. Proportions of other meals might be ok, but not for this meal. I will still give this restaurant 5 stars as we had a great time, but please take my comments on board, as customers want good value for money.”

“Happy lamb is one of the best Halal Chinese hotpot locations there is in brum! I come here every couple of months and it never disappoints. The atmosphere & staff are very friendly. The food & variety of options is also amazing! It’s also very cost-friendly in comparison to other chinese hotpots in brum. Defo recommend!!!”

“Food is delicious and doesn’t make you feel groggy or slow after. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. I wish I remembered the name of my waitress - she was so friendly and helpful. Served with a smile and was really accommodating as my friend had come in post procedure and had to keep her leg elevated. The waitress didn’t hesitate to let us sit in the booth and offered to get a chair if my friend was more comfortable putting her leg on that instead.”

“I purchased a drawer unit as I dont care for modern units. The item and quality matched the description perfectly. They owner videoed the unit so I could see it, sent recommendations for delivery (which were also amazing), cleaned it and wrapped it. The communication was the best Ive had in many a year, and such professionalism is rare from my expereince. I have no hesitation in recommending them.”

“The private sushi making lesson hosted by Nari and Yoshie is absolutely incredible. From the moment you start they make you feel comfortable and welcome, sharing their expert knowledge about sushi, the ingredients and the history of everything you're doing. At the end of the course, all the sushi you have created you take away to enjoy in the evening. You are also provided with a follow-up document, describing all the techniques, ingredients and equipment used throughout the day, including locations in the Midlands to find everything! I whole hearty recommend this class as an experience, you won't be disappointed!”

“I’ve been so pleased with the whole process and would happily recommend Sofas and Stuff to others. I'd tried many sofa companies for a particular shade of red, to no avail. But Liberty and the staff at Sofas and Stuff went out of their way to find me just the colour I wanted, they were so patient and helpful throughout and also made me very welcome when I called into the showroom. I couldn’t accept the first date offered for delivery, but it was no problem to call and arrange a new date to suit me. The delivery men arrived on time, were friendly and efficient and took all the packaging away with them. I'm delighted with my sofas and would happily recommend this company.”

“We found every aspect of service and product to be excellent – we visited the store, were advised in a friendly and knowledgeable way. To demonstrate how happy we were we purchased 2 sofas and then we purchased another 1 and then another 2 – and we are very happy. The delivery team each time were excellent.”

“The array of bread and pastries are great, with huge variety of both sweet and savoury options to have in or take away. Following suit, the menu is HUGE, especially for brunch, with lots of creative and unique options that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, mostly spins on brunch classics. We had the brisket benny, which was pretty nice. Pulled brisket and hollandaise sauce, with poached eggs and an English muffin. It was good, but didn’t quite live up to our excitement when we read it on the menu, falling a little flat. That being said, it was tasty and we will sure be back to try some other stuff as it all looked fab. I had a plain Crossiant, which unfortunately was verging on stale. Good flavour, but it was very hard and really wasn’t even close to my dreams of a flakey and light pastry. Oh well. The teas we had were very tasty, and the vibes in the place are pretty cool. There’s many rooms to choose from, so it does feel cosy and atmospheric. The staff were also nice, being pretty attentive and got the job done.”

“I came here last week with a few friends and I have to say this place is a hidden gem. 1st time here and I was blown away by the food, service and dining experience. The food was bursting with so much flavour, being from a Bangladeshi background I am very particular about my curries and have high standards and can say they delivered. The waiter knew the menu and recommended some dishes for us. We ordered a king prawn garlic Jhinga, lamb bengal naga (absolutely delicious) and chicken sag special. Make sure yiu have the signature rice that was something different and went really well with the curries. Overall excellent service and food at a very high standard. Will definitely be coming here again.”

“Great hosts great hospitality great food cannot not do more for you.we have 3 generations of family dining at this well run restaraunt no where compares to the quality of food. In regards to the fish, It is well looked after it is decades old. if you speak to the owner who is always there he will happily tell you all about him. as for the tank it is quite deceptive it is bigger than it looks. Respect to the family Anu and Thank-you again for an enjoyable evening”

“The food was absolutely amazing. I have to say, too good. I had the pad Thai and pad sew ew. Two different flavours, both were equally delicious. We went on a Sunday and it was kind of busy, we had to wait a bit for the noodles. I would say worth the wait. “This was my 1st visit to Titash and I can definitely say it will not be my last! We went to celebrate my father in law's birthday and it could not have been a better place to go! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the most welcoming, friendly and happy people! The food was exceptional, so so tasty! Unfortunately I didn't take any photos as we all just tucked in as soon as we were served! The staff were very attentive and made sure we had what we needed at all times! They also bought out a slice of cake at the end with a candle and a sparkler for my father in law's birthday, which was such a lovely gesture! We can definitely see why they have won the West Midlands Curry Champion of the year! 100% recommend!”

“Chikaros Restaurant – A Flavour Explosion Like No Other! Chikaros completely blew me and my family away. From the moment we walked in, we was hit with the most mouth-watering aromas. We knew we was in for a treat — but we wasn’t prepared for just how incredible it would be. Every dish was a masterpiece. The flavours? Bold. Rich. Perfectly balanced. You could taste the passion in every bite. I honestly caught myself doing a little happy dance in my seat — it was that good. The wings? Unreal. Juicy, crispy, full of kick. The smash burger? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. I don’t even know how they got the chips that crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Witchcraft, maybe. And don’t get me started on the sauces — they should be bottled and sold worldwide. I’d dip everything in them if I could. Service was top-tier. Friendly, fast, and full of smiles. They made us feel like royalty without being overbearing. The vibe in the restaurant was energetic but chilled — perfect for catching up with mates or treating the family. Honestly, if you haven’t been to Chikaros yet, you’re missing out on one of the best food spots in town. I’m already planning my next visit. 10/10. Would eat again. And again. And again.”

“Visited for dinner today with my fiancée for her birthday, and it was bloody amazing. The food was very tasty - I had the prawns for the starter and rump steak for the main course and it was very delicious, cooked to perfection. The: beef satay dish (tender), Singapore fried rice, prawn toast was outstanding - I think that was the best prawn toast i ever had as of typing this. The spring roll was good. The HK milk tea (hot) was great & so was the peanut butter filled toast w/ condensed milk. Helpful & friendly staff. Quick service.”

“Visited whilst in Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games. They have a lovely terrace which is a must on a sunny day. We sat just inside so had the best of both worlds.
