“Aways something happening. In a good way and in a bad way. Seen fighting, robbery and other unpleasant things. Twice this year I have had people trying to rob me. Seen police vans darting across the green many times . Plus please be aware of drug needles on the grass, bushes and toilets. On a good day it's the best park in Brighton and Hove but on a bad day, it can be a nightmare. But still by a long way the best place to chill in Brighton.”
“I went to splashpoint for the first time today to do Aqua and swimming. I was so impressed with the helpfulness of the reception staff at 11-30. The area that I saw was really clean. Good lockers and good sized individual changing room. Aqua was really good with nice friendly people taking part. I will become a member. Also a nice friendly cafe for coffee afterwards.”
“Always a pleasure to go to this park. Children's play area, cafe and ample parking. Good for Nature and birds. Walks around the lakes with a boardwalk. Public toilets.”
“Really lovely lake, can walk around the park. Playground seems nice for kids. There's a cafe but haven't been in yet. It has an outdoor seating area looking over the pond. Plenty of benches.”
“Very welcoming. Great pool and great teachers”
“Beautifully landscaped garden with ornamental streams, cascades and ponds lined with lush vegetation. Rhododendrons, irises, candelabra primulas and gunnera come together to create a very appealing atmosphere. The gardens are impeccably maintained.”
“Tucked away down beside the western entrance to Langney Shopping Centre. This small lake and adjoining field is a peaceful and well looked after park.”
“Very nice and peaceful park. Plenty of green for children to run around.”
“Peaceful and beautiful countryside just a few mins walk into the valkey”
“We recently purchased a weekend spa hot tub from Giles. We were looked after by Josh who was a pleasure to deal with, he was very helpful and honest when it came to arranging delivery as we had to have it craned over the house, he did all the liasing with companies involved. Would highly recommend then. Thank you for all your help. Mark & Nicky Curtis”
“Really enjoyed the food absolutely incredible. Lovely service amazing stuff, super friendly and welcoming especially Sophie. Highly recommended place to go for nice needed meal!”
“Lovely staff. Very professional and welcoming.”
“We took our 3 & 5 year old to swimming lessons for the first time and they were both in separate classes and both very nervous. The lifeguard Poppy was incredibly kind & so patient with them both, making them both feel more at ease and comfortable. She is an absolute asset to the dolphin & is an incredible woman. If you have nervous children when it comes to swimming lessons, I highly recommend the dolphin. Thank you to Poppy for your kindness and patience!”
“Top notch sports park. Plenty of parking. Great facilities - pool, track, fun pool, squash courts, tennis, gymnastics, martial arts, and much more. Cafe is decent and well stocked. Enough seating. Easy to get to as well.”
“Joined as part of joint health programme, Lauren Sweeney. Never been to a Gym before and if anybody told me I would be 3 stone lighter, water bottle carrying gym bunny 3/4 times a week I would have laughed. This course probably saved my life. At age 69 discover very high blood pressure via health checks, so avoided stroke or death. Exercise and weight loss have meant hip and knees pain has disappeared. Cannot speak more highly of Lauren’s input and thank Nuffield for my good health and wellbeing.”
“I’m writing to share my appreciation for two incredible staff members, Alana and Abi, at Livingwell. As a member, I’ve had the pleasure of interacting with them on several occasions, and I can’t express enough how outstanding their customer service has been. Both Alana and Abi have consistently gone above and beyond to ensure I have an exceptional experience at Livingwell. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine willingness to assist have truly made a positive impact on my visits. It’s rare to encounter such dedicated and helpful staff, and I wanted to make sure their efforts didn’t go unnoticed. Words can't fully describe how happy I am with the service they’ve provided, and I just wanted to take a moment to commend them. Livingwell is lucky to have such amazing team members. Thank you for fostering such a wonderful environment, and I look forward to many more visits.”
“Sogol is a great swimming instructor for the Stage 2-3 classes. She is passionate about swimming and deeply care about all the students having a great time, staying safe and learning solid swimming skills. She is very open with communication and consistently offer feedback and suggestions. After a few classes with Sogol my son is now significantly more comfortable in the water and is learning how to properly swim. We are greatful for having Sogol as our son’s swimming instructor!”
“Monday Night Football on the 3G pitch Is great but would be better if the council would strim the shrubbery so we can find our footballs”
“When my non verbal autistic child s local swimming lesson was cancelled while we were on our way at 6pm on a weekday evening, King Alfred was the only place that offered drop in fun sessions that time of evening within reasonable travel distance from us. Even though the centre is an old building, I didn't see any hygiene issues with the pool area. We will be back.”
“Great gym with pleasant staff. The gym is located opposite the fun pool as separate. The classes are great for motivation. It has a good range of equipment and space. I go pay as you go.”
“When we got there they insisted that we give them money before we could go in an start swimming. It was £8.50 per adult (this is in 2023) which is dearer than you might pay at some places, but the beauty of it was that there were no chavs. I'll happily pay a bit extra to avoid them. It's a very nice pool, with a lovely wooden ceiling, and the temperature of the water was ideal in my opinion, at least judging by today's experience.”
“I have been a St.Luke's regular until I had to forcibly go to PRSC owing to staff shortage at St.Luke's. And oh boy I was up for a very pleasant surprise, same management but the difference is night and day. Warm showers, heated changing rooms, nice reception and the slides are like icing on the cake. My little one loved it, I loved it. No going back to St.Luke's anytime soon. And oh, the parking charges are amazing 1£ for 2 hours. All boxes checked.”
