“We spent one night during October and were overall very happy with our experience. The location is amazing with lots of options to hike around the lakes. The hotel is nice, though the rooms are a bit outdated. Bathroom especially needs a renovation. But the room was spacious, had everything you’d need and was clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We had dinner the Old Boathouse restaurant where both the food and service were great. Thank you!”

“Lovely hostel up a hill. Getting to and from it is an adventure for the children, and me! Stayed in a nice, private ensuite family room. spacious self catering room. Doesn't have a cooker but has air fryer ovens. Pleasant atmosphere. Amazing views. I would advise taking additional pillows with you. We have now stayed at a number of YHA hostels. “We stayed as a large group at the Gothic Mansion for New Year and it was absolutely fantastic. Misha was very welcoming and showed me round her amazing home when we first arrived. It was perfect for our large group and we had some wonderful dinners around the long dining room table. The bedrooms were wonderful and the beds very comfortable. Location-wise, the mansion is very convenient for the supermarket. We didn't go to any pubs as we were so happy in the house but there is a good selection of pubs, restaurants and cafés in the local area. Highly recommend.”

“The hotel staff are so helpful! We stayed here for 1 night as good location without the price tag for a gig. We had an issue with Expedia booking an extra room on our booking. We were left feeling frustrated as not able to be resolved but, the staff were so reassuring that they would help resolve this. A huge thank you to Lloyd front reception for being so supportive and professional in helping to manage the situation. From checking in to leaving the staff have been so welcoming. The pub garden was perfect for a few drinks in the sunshine before heading into the centre. Will definitely stay again.”
