“We go to codmeston cafe regularly and have always been warmly welcomed even though I have a muzzled. Sometimes reactive to strangers dog. I recently read a review on here that said dogs were unwelcome when muddy and that the staff were rude, so I was reluctant to take my wet, muddy girl in - but it was raining hard, so I went for it. The second we walked through the door, my dog ran over to the manager and was greeted with such a huge welcome that (although she’s usually reactive with strangers) she was totally won over. The lady (who I later found out was the manager called Emma if my memory serves me correctly) was fussing her, tickling her tummy. Laughing and simply gave us the warmest welcome we could ever hope for. My girl had sausages and I had a toasted tea coke and the experience was lovely. I absolutely have to dispute any review which speaks negatively of dogs in the cafe. My experience couldn’t have been further from it.”

“We visited the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill several times during our stay in Cardiff, as it was part of the Indigo Hotel. We had breakfast and lunch there while staying at the hotel. The restaurant is centrally located in Cardiff, but it can be a little difficult to spot because it is located on the 6th floor of the Indigo Cardiff. Upon entering, you are greeted by a very stylish and modern restaurant with a lovely grand piano and plenty of seating for drinks before or after your meal. Breakfast was a very pleasant experience. There was a range of options on the continental buffet, and you also get a choice from their breakfast menu. I had "The Favourite," which is smoked salmon, eggs, and avocado on sourdough. It was divine. The continental buffet had everything you would want, including fruits, cereals, pastries, a variety of breads, and more. We then stopped for Sunday lunch, which I have to say was absolutely fantastic. I started with French onion soup, which was sensational. Then, my husband and I both had the Sunday roast. There was so much of it that I couldn't quite believe it when it was delivered to the table. There was so much meat, and the beef was amazingly tender. There was pretty much every side you could want, including Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, roast potatoes, and a huge array of vegetables, including amazing cauliflower cheese. The service was also fantastic from start to finish. The whole team was highly professional and approachable. I personally cannot fault anything that we had, and every aspect was top quality. I would certainly recommend a visit if you're looking for a fantastic Sunday roast—but make sure you come hungry!”

“Food was absolutely stunning and lives up to my childhood memories of this place. Sam, Fred, Liam and the chefs were amazing and had superb service. Best service I've experienced for a while. I am definitely coming back and I know my partner feels the same. Gorgeous comfort food, great prices and a very comfortable and safe atmosphere. Would recommend twice over.”

“Fantastic food they cater for all kids meals are amazing according to the 4 year old and 6 year old. Meals are always hot and fresh gormade burgers are 10/10 pizza amazing for the deals too. Honestly one of my favourite restaurants and won't eat anywhere eles The cocktails are so fresh fresh fruit and super cold just what we need on a hot day delivery time way before its due”

“Stopped in after visiting Tredegar House, it was very busy (Sunday @ 12:30pm), but we were able to get a table. I had a hot chocolate which was delicious! Far better than I had expected from somewhere pretty small, my boyfriend had tea which came in a teapot which made around 3 cups of tea. The service was super quick and the staff were friendly and attentive with cleaning tables. You can take dogs into the cafe too, though I’m not sure if all the tables are dog-friendly as some of them had specific signs to advertise that they were dog-friendly (other tables didn’t have this).”

“Great National Trust cafe right on the beach with a big car park (free for members) at the far north end of Brean Sands. It has a sea wall terrace and cosy upstairs lounge where you can watch the sea. Freindly staff with lovely cakes including vegan and pre packed gluten free. Lovely cream tea and coffee. Good menu plus drinks and ice cream.”

I made the mistake of trying to carry my food and luggage to a seat and dropped it en route. The staff could have easily ignored me and let me buy another, but a server rushed over to help and bought new food over to my table, despite being only one of a few on a busy service. Good people make all the difference when things go wrong!”
